Once we arrived in town that took about an hour away, we went to the tree area that they were selling. Mary saw a big tree and wanted it right away which, I grabbed it for the pack house. Then I saw the perfect tree I needed for the middle of the pack lands. I bought both of those and Peter, Stefan, and I loaded those trees up in the back of the truck. Once those were in the truck, I gave the twins my black card that is unlimited and told them for go shopping to get whomever whatever they wanted.
"Twins, here. Buy whomever you want for Christmas." I said as I handed them the card.
"What's our limit?" They both asked.
"$500 each." I spoke. "Just because that's my black card doesn't mean you go overboard.
"What if you need to get something?" Oliver said.
"I have my checkbook if I have to spend some money." I said then looked at the mall clock to see what the time was. "You guys have until 6pm to meet everyone back at the truck. If anything happens link us, you hear that, twins? I don't need something bad happening to y'all and your mother and other father kill me."
"Yes, daddy." Mary says as Oliver said. "Yes, father."
After that, they took off together their way to wherever they were going. Just hope they're good by themselves.
"I can follow them if you want?" Peter offered.
"No, I want to trust them. They're 10 years old, yes. But I want to be that parent to have that trust with their children." I told him.
"Plus, we have some pack members that work here so if something happens, they'll be fine. They'll be safe, if something bad happens." Stefan said trying to lighting up the mood.
"Thanks." I said being sarcastic.
Peter nodded then we went on our way to do my shopping. We got some more Christmas lights, some blow up decorations and etc.
By the time I had said to meet back up, by the truck was almost up. Peter, Stefan, and I loaded the truck up with what we gotten. I leaned against the truck looking at my phone to see if I had any missed messages. As I heard the mall clock tick for 6pm, I didn't see the twin anywhere. As I was about to link them, they had linked me for help.
"DADDY!" They screamed for me through the link.
"What's going on?"
"Rogues at the west end of the mall." Oliver said.
"Where's your sister?" I asked worried as I was running towards the west end of the mall with the boys behind me. "I hid her in one of the clothes dressing room. I'm helping the shoppers get some of the kids to safety." he had said.
"We're on our way." I said then shifted.
I could run there faster in wolf form. Once I did, so did the boys. The good thing about the mall its nothing but shifters that work here and shop here. So, no one cares if you shift into what you were born to shift into. As I was running to my kids, I linked some warriors back home to get to the mall quick.
Once I got to the west wing, I found the Oliver carrying 3 little kids; one on his back and two at the hips, to a clothes store, until a rogue had run right in front of him. He sat the kids down and pushed them behind him. He was risking his own life for those babies, that was what a true leader was. That was my son.
"Bring it, I dare you." Oliver had said.
What was he doing? I watched him and the wolf. The wolf ran forward and went to attack Oliver until he stepped forward and went into flames. He swings out his arm sending out a flame out towards the wolf. The rogue had whined when he got hit by the fire. I was proud of my son; he sure was my kid that was for sure. While the wolf was still burning from the flame, he went to attack Oliver, but I ran forward and tackled him instead. That gave Oliver and the little ones a chance to get to a safe place.
After that wolf was done, another one came my way, but I took it down.
This was a small town that everyone took care of everyone even if they were wolves or shifters. It didn't matter who they were. Try that in a small town, you will get slaughtered. Whoever you are, we don't care. You come and harm our people we will harm you by death.
Once all the rogues were dealt with, I got linked by those were in the mall, that were from my pack. Those that weren't came towards me and Stefan. Peter was with the children.
"Alpha, thank god you were here in the mall when they showed up." one of my pack members had said.
"Yea, me too. My kids were here shopping in this mall." I said.
"Alpha?" one of the shifters had said coming up to me. I didn't recognize them. "I'm the daughter of the Chief of my cheetah tribe. I'm Helen."
"Hello Helen,"
"I saw you recuse one of the older kids that had 3 kids by him. Did I see him flame on?"
"Yes, that's my son." I had said.
"So wait, your the alpha king that has the phoenix powers?" she had said.
"Yes, that would be me."
"Your son sure is brave, I would never do anything like that at his age."
"He gets that from his great grandmother and his father." Peter had said shifting, with the twins next to him.
"Daddy!" Mary had ran to me.
"Mary, Oliver." I said as I turned and bent down to pick up Mary and hug Oliver. "I'm so glad you guys were safe."
"Bubby was the brave one out of us. I was so scared." Mary had said.
"Well you done the right thing by going to safety dear child." Helen had said turning to look at my daughter.
"Yes, you what you did was bravery baby girl. Your mommy and other daddy would be so proud of you. You helped protect the other kids. What your brother did, was bravery but also dangerous for his age but I'm very proud of him using his powers the way he did." I had said to them.
"You used your powers?" Mary asked looking down at Oliver. "Your not allowed to use them. Mommy is gonna be mad."
"No, she won't. She will understand why he done it." I said as I heard a familar voice calling out for the twins.
"Mary! Oliver!" Bailey had called out.
I turned around and saw both my mates running over with some of the warriors behind them. Even my grandparents were with them with some of their guards and warriors. Oliver ran to Bailey and I let Mary down and she ran to Phil, crying.
"Dear, what happened here?" my grandmother had asked me.
"Olivia, is that you?"
"Helen!? Look how grown you gotten?"
"Yes, I've gotten big since we last saw each other." Helen had said.
"Nana, you know her?"
"Yes, grandpa had helped her tribe long time ago when she was a little girl."
I looked over at my grandfather and he shrugged. I walked over to my mates and hugged them with our children. I was glad it wasn't worse than it was. They were safer than I had thought they were.
The warriors and guards made sure everything was all cleaned up and those who were killed, gotten burned and taken care of. After Phil had talked to everyone, we had gathered everything, and all drove back home. Peter rode with my grandparents and my mates and kids rode with me with Stefan. Bailey rode in the back holding Mary. She was still a little scared from what happened. Oliver, he wasn't so scared from what happened.
While driving, I had linked my mates and told them what I had saw. I told them not to say anything to Oliver for what he had done. What he did was protecting his sister and the little kids. That was straight bravery.
Well, that was kinda messed up at the mall. But good thing that there was alot of shifters there to help take care of it. And the way Oliver had took on his first ever rogue as a kid. That was straight bravery or what?
Hope y'all are liking this so far, can't wait for more to come.
