4 A New Day

    Isabella POV

    Isabella wakes to the light shining in her room.  I stretch and feel like I haven't slept at all.  I realize in four more days I will shift in to Sierra for the first time.  I hear Sierra's voice greet me and she is just as excited to make her appearance.  Sierra has been a constant companion since I gained her at sixteen.  Being able to shift and run is super exciting. All at once the events of yesterday come back to both myself and Sierra.  Sierra tries to talk to me about Brutus and Collin but I am really not in the mood to hear about the mates that will reject us.  Despite the protests from Sierra, I block her out.  I need to get ready for school.

    Again, I put on my jeans and a loose-fitting t-shirt.  I put on my favorite converse and I head to the kitchen for breakfast.  Both of my parents are seated drinking coffee and look up when I enter the room. Mom asks me if I'm feeling more rested this morning.  I lie and tell my mother yes.   I finish my breakfast in record time and head to my bike.  I want to get to science so I am able to get a seat away from Ashley. I am the first one in the classroom and I take a seat directly in front of Mr. Dobbs desk. Mr. Dobbs smiles as I enter and sees what seat I take. The other students file in to the classroom and take their seat.  Ashley comes in last and is staring at me like I am dirt on her shoe.  Mr. Dobbs directs Ashley to take a seat.  She sits in the only chair by the window. 

    Ashley continues to stare at me throughout class.   "Isabella doesn't know it but she and her friends have come up with a plan to destroy her relationship with Collin" Ashley thinks to herself.  Ashley is smiling because she thinks she will get everything she wants.  At the end of class I rush out so Ashley cannot get to me.  Little did I know Rebecca was waiting for me with their other friends to ambush me.  As soon as I turned the corner Rebecca pushed me in to the women's bathroom.  Ashley is already on her way to meet them.  As soon as the door opens, I know I am in big trouble.  All four girls are staring at me with hate in their eyes.  Suddenly Ashley grabs me by my hair and throws me to the ground.  She kicks me repeatedly everywhere she can on my body.  She tells me making it perfectly clear "I was with Collin and we f**ked repeatedly last night." "He has the biggest and best d**k I have ever seen" she says. "Collin will be rejecting you by the end of the day so don't even think you will ever be with him you wh**e."

    I am crying and trying to protect myself from the kicks that Ashley has given me repeatedly.  The other girls stand there laughing like it is the funniest sight they have ever seen.  With one last kick to my face the girls leave me crying and bleeding on the floor. Melinda has been looking all over the school for Isabella who never misses a class. She enters the bathroom to find her laying on the floor holding her face.  "Isabella what happened to you, who did this" Melinda asks but I don't answer her.  She helps me to the nurse's office and tells the nurse how she found me. That's the last thing I hear before everything goes dark.

    The nurse who knows Isabella well is horrified but what she sees.  She knows Isabella is a kind sweet girl who wants nothing more than to care for others.  She believes Isabella will make a wonderful nurse based on Isabella's caring nature. She tends to Isabella's injuries and lays her on a cot in the office.  She immediately phones the principal about her condition.  Ten minutes later the principal enters the nurse's office to find Isabella lying on the cot with the nurse at her side.  He is also horrified at her condition and feels that Isabella should be taken to the pack hospital due to her injuries.  The nurse agrees and alerts the hospital to send an ambulance over to the school to pick up Isabella up.  Once she gets off the phone the nurse immediately calls Catherine and lets her know what's going on with her daughter.  Catherine lets her husband know and they too head to the pack hospital.  The principal alerts the Alpha to the incident and assures him that he will get to the bottom of what happened to poor Isabella.  

    Alpha John POV

    The Alpha is very angry that any pack member would hurt another especially a girl as sweet as Isabella Byrd.  The Alpha knows all his pack members but has a special place in his heart for this young girl.  Isabella will not remember due to how young she is but she long ago saved Collin from a rouge attack.  I was so grateful to her that is why the omegas of my pack are treated with such respect.  He recalls that terrible day.  Collin was outside with Viola playing in the garden. Viola had her back to Collin as she was tending to the flowers.  Unknowing there was a disgusting filthy rouge only a few meters away that had slipped through the border patrol.  Isabella had been inside with her mother but was by the big windows looking in to the garden smiling at Collin and Viola.  She was the first to notice the rogue.  She screamed alerting those of us who were inside and also Viola.  She grabbed Collin and was able to get inside before the rogue reached them.  We were able to kill the rouge and no pack members were hurt.  She was a brave girl even then.  I am thrilled she wants to work in the pack hospital because I really believe she will be an excellent nurse.  As soon as I finish talking to the principal, I go to find Viola.  When Viola hears the story, she is torn whether she should let Collin know before we head to the hospital. After a heated discussion we decide he has the right to know and we go in search of Collin.
