His Remarkable Mate and Luna (Mate Series 1-3)

    Isabella Byrd is a beautiful she-wolf.  She is in no way average.  Most she-wolves stand 5'9'" while she is a mere 5'2".  She has long red hair and electric green eyes.  Isabella is a simple girl who doesn't have many friends.  She has one best friend Melinda an omega that works in the Pack House kitchen with Isabella.  Like Melinda Isabella is an omega in the biggest pack in Pennsylvania.  She belongs to the Silvercrest Pack located in a territory in Northeast Pennsylvania.  She is in her last week of her senior year of high school.  She is an excellent student and dreams of being a nurse in the pack hospital one day.  This is a big dream for a lowly omega she is always told.  She will turn eighteen in five days and to most she-wolves this is great day.  To Isabella she could care less.  She has never had interest in boys because they have never even noticed her.  She would much rather just focus on a better future.      Isabella POV      I am getting ready for school in my room. To most of the pack I am invisible but to a select few I am the target of their hate. Ashley and her cronies have hated me since grade school even though I have no idea why.  I have never done anything to them but they have made it their lives mission to harass and abuse me daily.  I try my best to avoid them at all cost but most times I am not that lucky. I get dressed in a pair of faded jeans and a hoodie. I have an hour glass figure but no one would know that because I hide it behind baggie clothes as to not draw attention to myself. My mother is calling me to breakfast so I head to the kitchen.       As I enter the kitchen I greet my mother, Catherine, and my father, Benjamin. I know my mother means well but she is constantly telling me about the way I dress. My mother doesn't understand because she has no idea how bad school is for me and I will never tell either of them.  They would both be so upset and probably go to the principal about the abuse I receive. I just want to finish this year and become the nurse I was born to be.  I believe that I can become a nurse despite being an omega.  My parents also encourage me to dream big and be what I want.   They are always telling me that my mate will be a great man but I should always be dependent on me not my mate.       I grab my bike and head to school.  Everything on pack lands is close and I never felt the need to get a car. I arrive at school with fifteen minutes to spare and secure my bike.  I head toward my first period class, science but I am stopped dead in my tracks by the most intoxicating smell.  My wolf, Sierra, is running circles in my head.  I begin to scold her to settle down when I breathe in the smell again of the most decadent chocolate and raspberries.  I hear Sierra whisper "MATE" in my head and I freeze.  I am in panic thinking about what I should do.  I look all around the halls but I can't find the source of the delicious smell.  I think about trying to find the source but I figure I better get to class.  I feel unsure if a mate is a good thing despite my parent's words.  This is the first time I have had any feelings toward someone and even scarier the instant ache in my core is very new.  I enter Mr. Dobbs science class later than usual and the only open seat is next to Ashley.  Of course, that would have to be the way my day has to start.      Immediately after taking my seat Ashley starts her nonsense.  "So wh**e what's new?"  I don't respond knowing whatever I say will just be met with more insults.  I am hoping if I ignore Ashley, she will just drop it but I know that is never the case.  The moment Mr. Dobbs turns his back to the class she takes one of her nails and scratches my arm.  "I am talking to you b***h" Ashley says."   I simply ask her to leave me alone but she will not let it go that easy.  Ashley scratches her own arm and yells out in pain.  "Mr. Dobbs Isabella scratched me for asking how she is".  Her fake tears are worthy of an academy award.  Mr. Dobbs turns on me and asks "what happened?"   I am insistent that I did not do that to her however Ashley's friends all back her up.  Mr. Dobbs has no choice but to send me to the office even though I know he believes Ashley is a liar.  Ashley sits at her desk with a sh*t eating grin as I head to the principal's office.        Mr. Dobbs had called down to the office to speak to the principal about why I was coming and his feelings about the situation.  The principal was good friends with Ashley's father and found it hard to believe she would lie but he takes in to account Mr. Dobbs feelings.  I enter the office and the secretary sends me in to Mr. Jones.  After twenty minutes of lecturing, he tells me since I have never been in trouble before he will be lenient with me just this once.  I was given detention after school.  He will alert the head omega that I will not be on time to the pack house to assist with dinner due to my detention. I thank Mr. Jones even though inside I want to scream how unfair this whole situation is.  I return to my second period class and I hope not to see Ashley for the rest of the day.
