Chapter :- 24.

Erlik heard everything from Sylviana, as she described all that happened in the palace in his and zene’s absence. Now he knows what were they gossiping and planning behind their backs. These want Zene to get married to Micah and real soon. In less than 10 days, Micah's going to propose to Zene and in the next month on her birthday they will get married. From the relationship Zene and Micah have, Erlik's sure that Zene won’t refuse his proposal. He’s going to lose her.

Not only jealousy but also fear consumed Erlik's heart. He couldn't think of losing Zene like this. Although he can't express his love for Zene because of their differences, but Erlik already realized that he loves her way too much to lose. Even the only thought of her belonging to someone else, making his heart ache in pain. He can't let anyone else have the person he loves so much for the first time in his life. For the first time in this 20 years he felt loved too. Erlik have no one except of his father, but he also doesn't love him or care for him. He only wants power and position like rest of this world. Only Zene is the whom he found as a selfless person. Her love is pure because she doesn't want anything else then being loved. Now he's going to lose the only person he found who could truly love him. The dream he had, is becoming the truth.

Erlik's mind was in chaos as he couldn't think of what to do. Should he try to forget her and go forward with his mission, or should he go to win his love first? Is this mission worth losing her? Who should he think for first, his father or Zene?

“Thanks to the almighty God that she’s going to be out of my life soon. I couldn't bare to live with her under the same roof anymore. Once she’s out of the house, I will take a breath of relife.”

Sylvia's sudden hateful words brought Erlik into the reality. An instant hate grew in his heart for Sylvia after hearing her. How can she say that for her own sister? All Zene forever wanted is her sisters love. She did so much for them. She even hided her beauty and uniqueness from everyone, only to keep their heart. And in return she only got hate from them. Erlik instently remembered how Zene told him about her pain. He remembered the sad face she always made, whenever her sisters embarrassed her infront of everyone. How she wishes that one day she will be loved by them.

Erlik took a deep breath and made up his mind. If she can't get love from her sisters, she would get love from Erlik. He would shower her with so much care that she would forget everything about her mean sisters. Erlik couldn't live without her anyways. And he would also make sure that Micah couldn't get another chance to get near Zene. He hates it whenever they are close.

“But what about this wench, that’s standing near me?” Erlik's consciousness asked Erlik when his eyes fell on a coquettish Sylvia who was trying to get stick with Erlik's body as close as possible.

Erlik's mind became haywired again. He can't leave Sylvia like this. Specially not after the night they spent previous day. If she gets to know that Erlik is planning to have a relationship with Zene, she would freak out. She would tell everyone about their time together and the false promises he made to her. It will not only make King Triton and Queen Angelia angry, but it will also make Zene mad. She would never accept Erlik and his love. But noting would happen if she doesn't finds it out in the first place. And to do that, Erlik needs to make sure Zene and Sylvia dosen’t know about eachothers relationship with Erlik. He have to keep it a secret to everyone.

A smile crept on Erlik's face as he made his final decision. If he can keep his relations hidden to everyone, not only he can win Zene's heart but he can also succeed his mission. Erlik knows that once he kills Sylvia, Zene would become upset. But he would make sure that till then she falls in so much love with him that she couldn't even think of leaving him. This is the only way to make Zene his.

“Why are you making those weird faces? In a moment you're smiling and on the next you're having a serious expression?” Sylvia asked Erlik who was looking at his face carefully till now.

“Nothing serious. I was just thinking about our future.” Erlik told her the half truth.

“Yes.. about that. I am thinking that what if we announce our engagement too in the coronation day. It would be perfect to shock everyone right after zene’s good news. This way, she won't be able to steal the attention too.” Sylvia said excitedly as she doesn't have any idea what the devil was planning against her.

“Of course. It will be perfect.” Erlik said with a devilish smile.

“Yay..” Sylvia jumped up in excitement and kissed Erlik out in the open.

“I have some works now. I’ll see you later okay? Buy.” Sylvia said before running out of that place, leaving Erlik standing in his place. At that moment, Erlik's heart was dancing in joy and his mind was going through so much plans to make Zene fall in love with him.

On the other hand, Zene was really upset from the news of her best friends leaving. Micah just came to the island a day ago and he again have to go for his next mission. Zene couldn't accept the truth that the only person in this island, who understands her better, is leaving so soon. She have so many things to tell him, so many incidents to explain him, which she can't today to anyone. She couldn't stand still infront of everyone when her heart was burning in pain. That’s why she ran out of the palace and came to the cliff, she unusual hangs around.

Soon after she reached her place and slumped down on a rock, Micah came following her. Zene didn't knew Micah was following her because she couldn't hear any footsteps behind. But the moment Micah landed Infront of Zene, she became startled. Zene couldn't hear him because, Micah was flying high while following right behind her.

“What are you doing here?” Zene asked him in anger.

“Trying to break my Hun's anger.” Micah said while sitting beside Zene. But Zene immediately moved further from him.

“I don't need you. Go away.” Zene said, turning her head around.

“But I need you. So I’m staying.” Micah said, sliding more code to her.

“You don't need me. Nobody needs me. I’m just a pathetic lonely girl, on whom nobody has to waste their time on.” Zene said, moving more away from him.

“Hmm.. I don't think I know that girl. I just know that I need my hun more than anyone. And I can't take peaceful breaths until my hun forgives me.” Micah slid himself so close to Zene that their bodies were touching each others.

“Don't ‘Hun’ me.. I know exactly what you're trying to do. I’m not going to forgive you. Go wherever you want. I don't care.”

Saying this, Zene was about to move further again without realising that the rock that they were sitting on, she was sitting on its edge. As she slid herself more, she was about to fall down when Micah caught her in the middle. But he couldn't control his balance because he was also sitting right beside her, and fell on top of her. And in the next moment they were laying on the cliff as Zene was on below, laying on her back, while Micah was on top of her. His hands were on both sides of Zene and their faces were really close to eachothers. Zene couldn't realize what just happened as she kept staring at Micah eyes, and in the next moment he kissed her. Micah was giving her a proper kiss which a couple does, but Zene's eyes were widened in shock from Micah's sudden action.

Zene felt that Micah was enjoying the devouring of her lips and he wants to take it to the next level as he was trying to slide his tongue inside her mouth. But Zene wasn't ready to let him do that. So in the next moment, she pushed him off of her and stood up immediately.

“What are you doing? What was that?” She asked Micah in shock.

“What? What are you talking about?” He was stunned to see her reaction.

“Why did you just kissed me?” Zene shouted at him.

“I thought you wanted it too..” he said hesitatingly.

“No I didn't…! Why would I want to kiss my friend?” She questioned him after getting more shocked from his reply.

“Do you still think of me as a friend after we spent so long time with eachother? Does nothing changed between us?” he asked her in hurt.

“No. I never thought about you like that way. You were always my friend like you still are. I never thought about having an relationship with you..” Zene said in disappointment.

“Why? Why don't you think of me like that? Didn't you realise what I want till now? Didn't you realise how much I love you yet? How can you be so naïve to not realize everything?”

Micah was not only hurt but he was also got a little angry at her. He thought that, how could someone be so stupid to not realize his love till now. Can't she see how much he cares for her? How much he thinks about her? The whole island has an idea about his love, but how could she’s the one who couldn't realize it.

“You know what Micah! I’m not the one who's naïve. It’s you. I always knew what you wanted. I always knew that you have feelings for me. But you are the one who didn't realize that I don't want that type of relationship with you. Why don't you understand that I want you to be my friend. A friend who knows everything about me. A friend to whom I can tell all of my problems to. Micah, we’ve been good friends since childhood. How can you expect me to grow feelings for you all of a sudden? I always looked at you as a friend. Why don’t you understand that?”

Zene told him all the truth that she kept hiding in her heart like rest of her secrets. She always knew about Micah's attraction towards her, but she never let him realize it. She thought that one day seeing her denials, Micah would change his mind and decide to stay only friends with her. But that never happened till today.

“Well, I guess you better start then. I have planned a special surprise for you after I come. Make yourself ready by then.”

Micah said all of a sudden, making Zene shocked. When she looked at his face, she noticed that his face has gotten red in anger. Zene’s speech made him more determined to get her insted of making him realize the importance of a friend in her life at that time. He loves her too much to let her go now and he would make her his wife, no matter what. With this decision, he flew away from their, leaving Zene frozen in her place. He didn't even gave her a chance to reply before going away.

It broke Zene's heart because she knew that she just lost her best friend at that moment. The anger she saw on his face, it was a brand new emotions of Micah in Zene’s experience. He never showed his anger at Zene before this day, ever. But today everything changed in her life. She became alone again. Slumping down on her previous place, she kept looking at the sky, where she last saw Micah before leaving. Her heart was burning from the loss of her only friend. She felt lonelier then she ever was..
