I went back to my room, and most of my things were already packed up. Talk of obedient maids. I managed to get a dress out, and dropped it on the bed, then went to the shower. I closed my eyes as the water hit my skin, my body calming under the pressure. I had been so tense all night and stiff from lack of sleep, but the warm water eased most of that. When I was done, I dressed up quickly, then went down, where Carl was leisurely having breakfast. It didn't look like the table where the Russian Roulette had taken place, or where Tristan had been kneeling just yesterday. I sat beside him without a word and helped myself generously.
