Ava I shifted back to my animal form, because it's the best way to be close to him. I don't want to hurt him, but my animal is small and can jump in bed with him without disturbing the wires or hurting him. My dad is sleeping on a chair, unwilling to leave me alone with Beast. As if the poor man could do anything. He is in a really bad shape. I want to go and claw those men who allowed my man to get that hurt. His whole, beautiful, muscled body is covered in scars, some old, and some very recent.  I hear steps and I lift my head to see what's happening. I see my friend Art and his uncle entering the room. The coyotes are looking grim, Art actually looks a little sick, and that makes me worry. I jump out of the bed, and shift, grabbing the scrubs and putting them on before turning to them
