The Man

Alli was feeling uncomfortable, she was wondering since when she became so easy to be ordered. But on the other hand she was incapable to refuse Lukas. Alexandra was eating her cereal, when she heard footsteps coming in her direction. 

- Sunshine, when did you came? - asked Sang

- Sang, ... you look happy. - smirked Alli

- Don't mention it. How are you? Did you two get into a fight?

- In a matter of fact, no. But I made something else, and I'm not sure if you are gonna agree with it.

- What did you do?

- Samantha asked us, if it's gonna be possible to help her with Dany. And I kind of agreed.

- You know that I have no problem with that, but I wonder how are we gonna make it with the work and helping Sam.

- That's the other problem. I agreed to stay here while we help Sam.

- What did you mean to stay here?

- I mean to move here for the period of time that we will be helping Samantha.

- God damn it, Alli. Why didn't you told me earlier? I wouldn't have done that.

- You mean?

- I wouldn't have slept with him.

- I guess both of us are on the same page then. - said Alli and left the cereals.

The girls were thinking of a way out from the situation, when Samantha came into the kitchen with Dany in her hands.

- Alli will you take care of him while I prepare his bath and his dinner?

- Yeah, give him here. - she took the little one in her hands. - Hey baby, come to aunt. 

She was swinging him while looking in his bright smile. Dany was giggling at the faces Alli was making.

Lukas entered his office, only to find out that there were more rogue attacks. Is seemed like some kind of pattern. Every eight hours, there was new attack. The guards of the border were exhausted. He knew that he must find the source of the attacks, but he had no idea who was, or where to search for him. His third of command had captured two alive rogues, from the attack in the morning. Finally he decided to go and interrogate them. He had to find who was the mastermind of this before his pack became so exhausted that it will be incapable of defending itself.

The two rogues were held in the dungeon, in a specially made cages. Lukas prepared himself for the interrogation. As he was approaching one of the male rogues, he heard his heartbeat. It was increasing, the rogue was afraid of him. He knew who Lukas was and he knew that he was doomed to die here, he just had no idea how much pain Lukas was going to cause him. With a small steps, slowly, Luke was approaching his victim. The rogue was already shaking out of fear. Without warning Luke clenched his hand in a fist and hit his victim in the stomach. The rogue wasn't even capable to give a sound. He started coughing blood.

- Listen to me carefully, I'm gonna ask you only once, who is your boss? Who send you here? 

- If I tell you, he is going to kill me. - said the rogue.

- If you don't tell me, I'm not only gonna kill you, but before that, I will torture you untill you break. Speak!

- I don't know his face or name, but he calls himself Boss. But he always make us call him мастер.

Lukas knew that name. The name of the man he wanted to kill most. The name of the man who was responsible for the fear his mate was feeling. The man who raped her, who tortured her. The man who was supposed to be dead.

Lukas stormed out of the dungeon. Headed right outside. He wasn't capable to hold his wolf anymore. Even before reaching the forest, he shifted into his black, huge wolf and allowed the rage to take over him.

Without even realizing what was happening, Alli and Sang were having fun with Dany. Alexandra was still thinking about everything that happend during the last two days. It was happening too fast.

Her life was never easy, but when with the help of Murat, both with Sang managed to escape from Boss, they were finally free. Since then, they were taking care of each other. The life they have now was just perfect, but Alli didn’t wanted complications. And one relationship was going to be a big complication. … After couple of more minutes thinking about her problem, she finally decided to put an end to the strange relationship she has with Lukas, before it became too complicated.

- Sunshine, what do you think is going to happen if I tell Lukas that I want to end the things between us? – Alli asked

- Let’s see, there are two possible ways this can go. One – he will understand you and won’t bother you anymore, but that isn't really like him. Or two – he will snap and he won’t let you put an end to anything, which is more like him. Honestly, I don’t know how we messed up with them.

- Unfortunately, I was thinking just like you. Still I hope that he will understand. But if he doesn’t …. I will call Mac and I will tell him that I’m going back to Vegas.

- If you go, I go. I won’t stay here alone.

While they were talking, the girls had no idea that there was someone watching them, listening to their conversation. Since Tom was given the task to watch over his Luna, he was always with her, hidden in the shadows, but never leaving her side. He was shocked at what Alexandra had said. Was she planning to leave the pack and her mate? Was it possible his alpha to stay mateless? . . . Tom knew he had to do something. Not only he was the third in command, but also, he was the mate of his alpha’s sister. He decided that he will give his best to make Alli and Sang stay here.

Just before dinner time, Lukas came back to the mansion. He was determined to take care of the man responsible for all the bad things that happened to Alli, he just had to find him. Without losing more time. He went to his office and dialed, the number of one of his childhood friends. The phone rang couple of times, before Brian picked it up.

- Luke, to what do I own the honor to receive a call from you?

- Brian, I’m gonna need your assistance in something.

- You sound serious. Tell me more.

- Let’s start with that. I found my mate.

- Congratulations my friend.

- Forget about that for now. She is in danger Brian. Someone is after her. I neither know his name, nor his face, but from the information I gathered, he calls himself Boss, or мастер. For the last two days he was sending rogues to attack my territory, and I assume it’s because of my mate and her friend.

- I see.

- Brian, I forgot to tell you something, they are humans.

- Well, that’s a surprise. But, if they are humans, how does he know about werewolves?

- That’s the problem, I don’t know is he a human too, or he is a werewolf.

- Have you told your mate about us?

- Not yet. She has no idea about our existence. … Brian, I need your help to find him.

- You’ve got no problem with that, but do you even have an idea from where we can start.

- No, but what I know is that he looks a lot like Thomas.

- How do you know that?

- He came last night with his mate. They have problems of their own, and the moment he entered the room where the girls were, they instantly attacked him.

- They attacked him? The alpha? Our friend? - asked Brian

If the situation wasn’t that serious, Brian would have found this quite funny. A mere human, attacking an alpha.

- Yeah, I know how it sounds. But their reaction was more than just a fear. It was like an instinct. They tried to protect themselves. … Before Alli pass out she said that it wasn’t him, she made a mistake because Tom looked exactly like Boss.

- Since we know that, we will find him easier. Don’t worry Luke, I’m gonna make everything possible to help you. And also, I will give my pack the order to search for werewolves that have recently came into our territory. We will find him.

- Alright, I will call you soon with news.

Lukas closed the phone and placed it on the desk. His head was hurting him and he needed to see his mate. Since he found out about that man, he became even more determined to keep Alli close to him. Lukas made a promise to himself, that no harm will come to his mate.
