I Still Want You

This Is A Nightmare

 Jess and I pulled into the school parking lot I sighed as I was getting out of my car. Austin was talking to Zack at the main doors, Zack turned around to face me he gave me a small smile before walking into the school "What was that about?" Jess asked wrapping her arm in Austin's "Nothing really, he was telling me what he was up during the holiday. I told him I would stop in tonight to hangout" he replied. "That's nice, I'm sure he would like the company" she said placing a kiss on his cheek. "Yeah, we haven't really hung out, or talked much" he replied. I scanned the hallway looking for Lucas, and sure enough he was waiting for me at my locker "Morning beautiful" he said placing a kiss on my cheek, making me smile. I opened my locker to put m jacket in there, I was wearing a long black t shirt with a dark purple, and light pink plaid shirt with dark blue skinny jeans, and high top black boots. The bell rang "I'll see you in third" Lucas said giving me a quick kiss before walking down the hall to his first period class. I walked into my homeroom, and found a seat in the last row, by the window. I nearly choked my on saliva when I seen Anna walk in,  she didn't seem to notice me at first, she sat 2 rows away from me at the front of the class. She was wearing a beige turtle neck sweater with red strips, with black jeans. She did eventually scan around the class room, and made her way to my direction, she gave me a small look before she turned back to the front of the class. Our teacher Mrs. Hamilton got settled "Morning class, welcome back after the holiday. We are going to start off with a group project, I'm going to break everyone into pairs" she started calling people's names, she got to my name, and right after she called Anna's I cringed when I realized we were paired together. Anna turned around to give me a small smile, all I could do was stare at her. This was not happening. "Okay class, you have til the end of next week to finish, but right now we will work on something else"

Class seemed to never end, I wanted out of there, and to transfer to another class but I knew it wasn't going to happen. The bell finally rang, and I bolted out of the classroom, to hear my name being called, I knew who it was, but I really didn't want to talk to her. "Please stop" she cried out. I sighed as I turned around to face her "What do you want Anna, I really don't have anything to say to you" I said making her stop in her tracks but she was looking behind me Jess was standing there "Is there a problem?" Jess asked "No, I just wanted to talk to Sam" she replied "Sorry, got to get to our next class" Jess said pulling me away from Anna to walk to our class together. Thank god Jess was with me. I didn't get a chance to tell her what had happened, but we did have lunch to talk.

Finally it was lunch time, and Lucas was in the third period class, so we walked to the cafeteria together to meet Jess and Austin. I sat down next to Jess, with Lucas sitting across from me " Guys, I need to tell you something" I said making everyone look at me "Guess what happened in my first period class, my teacher thought it was a good idea to put Anna and I partnered together for a class project" Jess almost choked on her sandwich "You're joking right?" she asked "Wish I was, like really though what's next?" I said. Zack walked by "Hey, you want to join?" Austin asked him making Jess give me a look "It's fine" I said. "Sure" Zack replied. He sat down next to Lucas. This day was not in my favour I just really wanted to go home. I could tell Zack kept glancing at me, but didn't make eye contact with him.

The end of the day finally was here, I was at my locker to be startled by Anna "Listen, can I say something?" she asked "Not right now" I replied not looking at her, slamming my locker door shut to make my way out of school Lucas ran up to me to walk me out "Damn, she's not going to leave you alone is she?" he said grabbing my hand "Guess not" I replied letting out a sigh. Jess and Austin were standing behind Austin's car talking to Zack. We stopped and joined them, but I didn't acknowledge Zack. I know it bugged him, but I just couldn't bring myself to talk to him right now. "I'll stop by after supper" Austin said to Zack as we were all leaving. "I'll stop by later on too" Lucas said giving me a kiss "Okay" I replied wrapping my arms around his waist. I dropped Jess off at her place "Are you okay? I know today was a very weird day" she asked pulling into her driveway "Yeah, I'll be okay. More then anything, I don't know what to do" I replied "You know you have all of us in your corner Sam, it will be fine it sucks being paired up with your enemy, but I don't think she will do anything as for Zack, well I'm sure you noticed that he feels terrible." she said placing her hand on my shoulder. I looked over at her "Thanks Jess, I'm taking things day by day. It will be okay eventually, but right now it's difficult" "I know, but just know you're not alone" she replied giving me smile, I returned the smile as she got out of my car "See you tomorrow" she said closing the car door.

Mom was waiting for me when I got home, "Hey baby how your first day back?" she asked giving me a hug "Rough" I replied. "Come on, I made a light supper we can talk while we eat" she said walking me into the kitchen. She made homemade chicken noodle soup, with rolls "This is perfect thank you" I said giving her a smile " I figured you would like it" she replied returning the smile. As we ate, I told mom about Anna and I being paired up, as well as I wasn't ready to talk to Zack yet. "Well, honey maybe this is a good way for you and Anna to air things out, without fists and move on. As for Zack, you know how I feel about him, and I honestly think you should talk to him. He probably meant no harm to you, and it hurts him more then you realize what this whole situation had caused. If you need more time that's fine just don't let this go on for too long promise me" she said "Promise" I replied.

I helped clean up, then went downstairs to get started on some homework when Lucas walked in "Hey, brought you a coffee" he said "You're the best" I replied giving him a hug. "How are you feeling now?" he asked. "Better now, after talking to mom about it" I replied taking a sip of my coffee, he smiled at me that made me feel warm on the inside "Sammy, everything will be okay Anna won't do anything more to you, Zack dumped her remember, and Zack well I guess he's being patient giving you space" "I'm not worried about Anna or Zack, I'm just doing what I feel is best for me right now" I replied. "Good girl" he said placing a sweet gentle kiss on my lips, that made my stomach do back flips.

Lucas stayed for a bit with me before he went back home "Oh, before I forget I'm inviting you, Jess, Austin, Nathan, and Amy over to my place Friday night for a small get together, I'm sure you could use a fun night" he said getting off my bed "Yes, that would be nice" I replied getting up behind him to give him a hug before he leaves. He placed both his hands on my face to place a kiss on my lips "Night beautiful, see you tomorrow" and with that he was gone. I laid down on my bed looking up at the ceiling, I knew everyone was right, I just needed to get to that point.
