Rose.
Slowly, I opened my eyes, regaining my sense and regulating my mind until it felt so much better. My head hurts, and felt so much heavy at the same time.
Placing a hand on my head, I winced when it came in contact with it. ThenI noticed the foreign environment. This isn’t my room or somewhere that I had ever been.
Nothing about me crawling down here could resurface my head but I do remember being in an accident before everything had gone off. “Where am I?” I questioned, silently.
With each words that had left my mouth, I felt the pain going through my head entirely. Indeed, I must be hurt badly.
Jerking myself up, I stood up from the bed, ignoring all pain that was going through my entire body. I took slow steps out of the room, trying to navigate the door that would take me outside.
I don’t know if it is the fact that I had badly hit my head, or the fact that I can’t point of out which one is the door leading outside the house because I don’t know the house.
This side of the house has a lot of doors, which could lead to places. I don’t know where I am so, I can’t make any mistakes yet. “You are awake.” A voice said behind me, jolting me out of my thought.
Turning, I was faced by a young man, he had a smile on his face as he walked towards. “Where am I?” Was the only thing I kept repeating as I pushed myself to walk away.
First it was Xander and his mistress, Harper that had wanted to see me dead and who knows if they were the one that sent the young man smiling in front of me. “Don’t kill me, please.” I pleaded, tears building up in my eyes.
I can’t die yet, but when I have make those two regret what they have down to me. The reminder of it makes my heart aches so much. “I am Beta Drew of the Greyhound pack. I am the one treating you since you were brought here.” He responded, pointing at a tag.
“See, I am one.” I nodded my head, wincing once again. “You should sit first, then we can talk more.” He uttered, coming to help me take a sit.
I can’t really recall everything single thing but I do remember how fast I had to run through the forest. Yet, I didn’t think it was fast enough to get me into the territory of the Greyhound pack. “How did I get here?” I croaked while Alpha Drew examined me.
“Alpha Charles found you two days ago and brought you here.” He revealed. “You seem fine, you just need time to recover from the hit on your head and that’s it.” He clasped his hands together.
If one had told me that I was going to be saved by one of the noble Alpha’s in the world, then I would have sworn on my poor life that it was a lie. “You should go and take a bath while I get something for you to get.”
No, I can’t stay here. I have no reason to stay here. If possible, leaving here should be the next thing that I should do.
“I should go.” I told him.
To think, I have overstayed my welcome, and it is time that I find a direction for myself. “Thank you for helping me so much.” I breathed in a go, attempting to stand up. My legs would have almost gave up on me, if it was for the support of Beta Drew.
But the man standing in front of me was way stronger than me as he pinned me down. “That wouldn’t go as you had planned. You were brought in by Alpha Charles and now, you are patient.” Beta Drew started.
“Even if I am to let you go, then It would be after I have make sure that you are in good condition, so now, you either drag yourself back into your room and take a bath, or I would be glad to do the honor and take you in.” He ended softly, enough for me to understand that his last sentence was a joke.
Heaving out a sigh of defeat, I dragged my feet back to the room that I had clearly recognized to have been the room that I had came out of.
“Maybe I should just do as he had requested and see Alpha Charles afterwards. I am sure that he wouldn’t even want to spend more than a minute.” I thought, getting stripped out of my clothes, while making sure that it doesn’t hit me that bad. At least, I should be thanking to them for saving me this time.
Dragging my leg into the bathroom, I filled the bathtub, sinking in it immediately after it was filled up. Already, I can see how much of a good idea this is, my body was ready to welcome the hot water.
The reality sets in, that indeed Xander’s had cheated on me and had gone against the vows that we had taken.
It wasn’t my fault that I was barren and if he hadn’t acted like everything was good, we would have found another option, yet all he could think about was stock his d**k in someone’s body and betraying me. “I shouldn’t be thinking about what that scum has done to me, rather, I should be thinking of what I would do to him.” I thought.
As much as I would really love to put this behind me, the wound in my heart would really take a long time to heal. I have always been with Xander, he had always been my top priority yet this is all I could get, thrown away and insulted right in my face.
Tears rolled out of my eyes, even though I had tried my best to hold them back. “If I was you, I wouldn’t sit in the bathtub crying when it wouldn’t do anything.” A harsh and hoarse voice said, which almost came as a whisper.
Who the f**k is he and what is he doing here?
