Into Our Wedding : Three

LEAH’S POV ----- I whirled around and began walking towards the cabin, not even pausing for Luke. He jogged to catch up with me. He caught up with me and gave me a natural expression. "So, Leah, where is Uncle James?" His voice was calm as if nothing happened. I sighed as that was the scenario I endured, every day. But I was determined to bring him to a decent track today. "Mister Hemmington, Dad isn't well. He won't be able to make it today. And I no longer want you toying with our PAs." I stressed the word "our" because we were working in a team. I pushed the door open and entered with Luke following hot on my trail. He knew he had a lot to make up to. "Leah, stop with that! Damn you, making me angry always.” He screamed and I nodded. Nothing more than that. “Could you be civil?" He asked, looking tired out of my acts. Irony! I can’t believe that he even dared to utter those words after committing all that he did. My nose flared in anger. "Look who’s telling me to be civil!" I scoffed at him. We both sat on the desk and glared at each other. We both turned away. Finally, he sighed and I had a victory dance going under my angry façade. "Okay. I apologise. And I'm going to be just civil to the PAs. And you stop with the last names." He was being very serious this time. He didn't like it when I was calling him with the last name. Ironically, that got under his skin. "Okay." I just muttered showing him that I was still angry at him. I had every right to be. "God! I can’t believe I bear so much trouble for you and change my decisions for your prude ways. You should notice that you have such a loyal diaper buddy who changed himself for you.” He scowled at me as if wanting acknowledgement. I matched his look. "Change you? It'll be faster changing the diapers of this diaper buddy!" I screeched at him. He looked away, embarrassed about my comment. "We just joined the office last week. Last week! And look, this is the sixth PA you have fired. Stop flirting with PAs. I don’t see that so-called change I've been asking you to have from the first day!" I continued my rant and ended up yelling at him. "It's not my mistake. It's all their fault." He justified it as if he was the most innocent person in this whole world. And I very well knew how it ended. "Oh now stop! I know, they wear such clothes just to seduce you. And even they come here to just watch you. Right?" I asked sarcastically for which he nodded, not taking a hint at my sarcasm. "Exactly. You understand me so well." He winked at me. I scoffed. I wanted to pull my hair so bad but I refrained since we were on professional premises. "From the past week, I've been listening to this every day. It's memorised." I threw him an annoyed and unbelievable look. He kept looking at me with a blank face. "Anyways, let us get back to work," I said eventually when I realised that he won't budge in. Luke was one hell of a wicked and stubborn person. "Yeah." He smirked. We sat in our cabin. We both shared a cabin as we were a team. Dad and Uncle Jacob; Luke's Dad, had separate cabins. How lucky! I waited for the day when Luke would start working like a normal person and not a rich brat whose father owned the company, which was true. Sitting in our cabin and working continuously was exhausting and especially when we won't even have a PA to handle the little tasks. This time I decided on a twist. I had to fix this problem of 'Firing PA'. I excused myself and walked towards Uncle Jacob's cabin. I knocked on the door and entered when he permitted me in. "Uncle Jacob, I have a critical issue to discuss." I announced quickly, not even bothering to start with a short 'hello' or 'morning'. Well, my issue was more important than greetings. "Good Morning, to you, too. What is it, sweetheart? You look so stressed." He greeted me even though I didn't. Like Father, like Son. He probably read the annoyance on my face so he didn’t comment or press on that matter anymore. I sighed and sat on the chair. "Yeah. This time, I expect a male PA to be appointed. Luke has already fired the sixth PA today. I don't want more people losing their jobs." I asserted with my eyes open wide, probably, bulging off my sockets. He chuckled and I glared at him. "I understand. He is such a flirt." He commented nonchalantly and raised his hands defensively, I scowled at him and he coughed covering up for himself. "For being the most troublesome flirt in the world, I have to do that. This guy has no restraint over him, whatsoever. And he wouldn't flirt with males, hopefully." I winked at Uncle Jacob and he laughed. He shook his head at my pun. "Definitely, wouldn't." He confirmed and I smirked. “Or I hope for your benefit,” Uncle Jacob said again and we both fell into pits of laughter. Once calmed, he smiled at me, assuring me. "Tomorrow, the male PA will greet you in the morning." He said with confidence, and I knew his words could be trusted. "Thanks, Uncle Jacob," I grinned and gave him a small peck on his cheeks. "Anytime, sweetheart. Bye. Take care, after all, you're handling the most uncontrollable flirt." I shook my head and waved at him. I left his cabin with a smile on my face. I entered my cabin and Luke was there not flirting but kissing, the hell out of that PA, he had just fired. I felt so angry. "Luke!!!" I yelled. He still didn't stop. My temper had already soared high. Every day the flirting scene would happen, but this was out of hand. I felt outraged and my nose flared in anger. "Mister Hemmington!" I yelled a bit louder. She instantly separated herself from him. Then she left the office placing the resignation on the desk and giving me a smirk. She practically insulted me without uttering a word. I felt a big bruise on my ego. I clenched my teeth. He committed this and took it too far this time. I couldn't take it. It was enough and I was tired. "Luke, I hate you!" I screeched at him. And left the office with tears forming in my eyes because of all the frustration a guy had caused.
