Into Our Wedding : Two

LEAH'S POV ----- "Oh, s**t!" I cussed with my mouth full and also in front of my mother. I turned around to face the door and run. "Language, Leah!" She shouted but I was already halfway running through the house towards the door. I saw Jack patiently waiting for us to arrive. I rushed to him. To say that Jack was just a few years older than me but still was so punctual and tidy made me glad that Dad’s lessons worked on someone, at least. I and Luke weren’t going to be this disciplined, ever. "Morning, Young Miss." Jack greeted with a smile on his tidy face and had dressed in neat attire. "Morning, Jack! Let's go or I'm getting so late, now." I immediately stumbled into the car and so did he, in the driver's seat. I finished the last bites of my yummy sandwich "What about the Old Master?" He asked me as he started the car without wasting a second. I wiped my hand clean. "Well, sickness has caught his punctuality," I commented as Jack laughed and started driving towards the office. "Hope he gets well, soon." He said in a serious tone and sounded sincere. I was glad he was so loyal and genuine to Dad that he didn’t speak ill of him even behind his back. "I hope so, too," I murmured despite the earlier joke that I cracked. The car came to a sudden halt and I glanced outside to find myself in the parking zone of the office. I wished Jack a short thank you and goodbye, before exiting the car and rushing inside. I waited for the elevator, impatiently. I entered the elevator and pressed the floor 35th, multiple times and tapped my foot, restlessly. It was still five more minutes left for the meeting. I reached the designated floor. I got out of the elevator and glanced around, just to find Luke again flirting with the PA as she shamelessly provoked him by wearing those miniskirts and one size smaller shirts which were way too tight at their upper body, showing off. I was so accustomed to this scenario now, that it didn’t bother me but would still anger me a lot. "Mister Hemmington, I'd like to apologise if I interrupted your important activity, for we have to concentrate on other important and real things, here," I stressed my words. He turned towards me wearing that flirty smirk on his face. He stood there; in a cream suit with a darker blue shaded shirt inside, with all his might and glory as if he didn't commit anything. His blue eyes sparkled with mischievousness and his brown-blonde hair were disturbed after his naughty expedition. "Oh, so we go with the last name, Miss Parker. Well, you certainly did interrupt our talk about a project. Doesn't matter, though." He explained with a dirty smirk. I gave him a literal poker face. "Sure, Mister Hemmington. I'll leave you to your project then and go to the meeting alone." I walked past him, shaking my head. I was so tired of his flirting routines. "Where's the meeting?" I inquired him looking at my watch, hastily. It was him who was here earlier so he was supposed to know where the meeting was held. "What meeting?" He made an innocent face and I blinked at him, unable to ponder over his words. "There was a meeting, wasn't it?" I questioned him looking...no, throwing glares at him. At first, he shrugged and then rubbed his hand together as if preparing to say something important. "No, there wasn't any meeting...not today." He said innocently and I fumed literally. My eyes widened because of all the trouble I had gone through while rushing to be here on time only to be fooled by him. Most importantly, I didn’t have my favourite pasta. "You said there was a meeting!" I screamed at him, accusingly, as I scrunched my eyes at him. "You hung up the call and didn't allow me to inform you that I was kidding." He explained and shrugged his shoulder. My mouth opened in a gasp. "You! You first lie to me and then you flirt! Why do you even come to the office, Mister Hemmington?!" I yelled at him, scrunching my forehead and he looked at me, apologetically. "Leah, stop being a prude. Loosen up, a bit. Why do you stay so uptight? And stop yelling with last names!" He grunted and I gave him a wide-eyed look. "Prude? Don't start with that! And talking about uptight, I'd better say I was being professional. Because you very well know what you were doing and how unprofessional it is. Don't do all these things!" I spatted angrily. He had a way of getting under my skin. "Your wish is my command, lady." He said in a royal tone for which I just rolled my eyes. He knew how to work his charms on people but I wouldn’t fall for them. "Tomorrow onwards wear clothes in your size that must be professional. Get that?" He warned in a serious tone and she nodded. When he turned back to me, she whispered enough to reach me. "Bloody jealous b***h!" She hissed like a snake, a poisonous snake. Did I say Luke was deaf? No! He was a sharp listener. Luke would bully me, trouble me and pull pranks on me but if anyone else tried to do that, it was like a death wish. He was a lot protective in that zone. He turned back and glared at her, giving her a sinister look. She almost trembled but kept an ignorant look. He just stood in front of her and menacingly lowered on the table, reaching closer to her height. He was a master at shifting moods. "You know what I think, you should clean this table." He almost whispered as if he was just saying a normal statement. "You know why?" He questioned her and she shook her head. "Because you are fired. Right now."
