The Power Later I lay in bed but I didn’t sleep. Cesare didn’t believe Jack would do this. Gardena became outraged at my even suggesting it. Jon — his own twin — knew nothing whatsoever about it. Was Jack Diamond even involved at all? Had I been part of framing an innocent man? Not innocent, I thought. Jack Diamond had been implicated in dozens of murders, the victims tortured, mutilated.
