Jonathan and I rode to the Courtroom together that day, and to my surprise, Cesare Diamond rode with us. A huge crowd stood along our route from the Diamond bridge, but quiet, watching our curtained carriage pass. Many wore black armbands, or the symbol of the Spadros Family on their hat or coat.
Cesare snorted quietly, smirking.
Why did this man ride with us? “Perhaps you have something to add, Mr. Diamond?”
