SAVAGE AFFAIRS EPISODE NINE

When I got to the living room I found venessa seated on the couch crying with sweat dripping from her body. I looked around to see if there was someone in the house but the door was still locked just as we had left it.

Me: venessa, what is it, why did you scream?

I asked sitting next to her. She wiped her tears and looked at me.

Venessa: it's was just a bad dream.

When Eva realized nothing was really happening she crept from under the bed and came to where we were.

Eva: what happened?

Me: apparently it was a bad dream.

Eva: you scared the hell out of us.

Eva was literally shaking.

I took a deep breath then tucked myself into the blanket because it didn't look like any of us were going to bed soon. Eva offered to make us some coffee so we sat there talking as we waited.

Venessa: I'm sorry I never treated you right before...

Me: I never understood why.

Venessa: I just felt jealous. Eva seemed to be showing you so much attention that I felt like I was just backup incase you were not there.

Me: you know that is not true. Eva and I have been through so much together while I just met you the other day. I just thought the three of us would be good friends.

Eva: and we still can be. I just want you ladies to work out your differences. It's really hard being caught up in the middle.

Me: well I don't have a problem with you venessa.

She smiled and hugged me.

Eva: that's more like it. Tell us though what happened with Robert?

Venessa: it's along story and I really don't want to talk about it.

Me: we will respect that but should you feel like talking we will always be here...

Eddy laid on the bed staring at the ceiling reminiscing on some of the times he spent with Tiffah, the introduction to his mum on a family dinner date which didn't turn out so well since Naomi didn't like Tiffah at all. What Tiffah ever did to his mother, he had no idea.

Naomi: so where did you pick that one?

Eddy: that's my girlfriend you are talking about.

Naomi: seems more of a social climber to me. She can never make a good wife. I know a good wife when I see one.

Eddy: I didn't bring her here to seek your approval. I will marry her mum and you can disown me after that if you like. We all know you wouldn't have a problem if it was Sean's girl.

He remembered walking out in his mum and Tiffah was just along the corridors probably listening to the conversation they were having.

Eddy: come on, we are leaving.

They got in the car and Eddy drove off.

Tiffah: your mother doesn't like me.

Eddy: you won't be getting married to her but me. Don't mind her, Just focus on us..

Eddy got up from the bed and got to the kitchen to get himself a glass for his whiskey..

He turned around to walk back to the living room and he remembered the day Tiffah broke the news about them expecting a baby. She had two tiny shoes hidden behind her back. One was for a baby girl and the other for a baby boy.

Tiffah: hey love,

Eddy: hey

Tiffah: I have a surprise for you.

Eddy: interesting, what is it?

Tiffah: close your eyes.

Eddy put down the butter knife and the bread then closed his eyes.

Tiffah took the shoes from the back and held them in front of him.

Tiffah: open your eyes...

Eddy: whooaaa, wait, is this what I'm thinking it is?

Tiffah: yes baby. You are going to be a father..

She said excitedly and threw her arms over his shoulder.

Eddy: yes...!

He lifted her off the floor and spined her around and kissed her..

He then got back to reality and all he could see was an empty room with a void in his life that he didn't quite know how to fill.

Eddy walked to the couch drunk his whiskey, laid back and rested his back on a pillow.

Eddy: I miss you Tiffah. If you were here we would have our baby running around. You would have been the best mum ever. I know it's been hard letting you go but I met this girl. She is beautiful and I like her. She reminds me alot of you and deep inside I want her but I don't trust myself to keep her alive. I don't want her to end up like you did because I've got enemies coming at me like a swam of bees. I don't know what to do Tiffah..he drunk again and continued talking to himself. He shed tears then drunk himself to sleep.

The following morning Naomi woke up Anderson very early and sneaked him out before anyone could notice he slept there..

Anderson was working with Sean at the insurance company and he was more in charge as Sean travelled alot and couldn't be able to run the company alone so Anderson was employed to do the things Sean couldn't do when he was not around.

Anderson was a bit younger than Sean so that made him even more younger to Sean's mum but something started brewing between them after Naomi attended a meeting at thr company. She started pursuing him and even though it took Anderson time to give in to her demands he finally did and they started going out. There was a problem though. Anderson and Niki had a bone to pick with each other and that's the reason why Niki wouldn't rest easy when she saw the mum sneaking in Anderson to her room.

Hours later, Niki and Naomi met at the table but she was so pissed off that he moment naomi walked in she picked her phone and car keys and started to walk away.

Naomi: Niki,

She turned and looked at her.

Niki: what?

Naomi: what is the meaning of that, where are you going we are supposed to have breakfast.

Niki: we, no. The last thing I want to do is seat across you at a table having breakfast. I don't even want fo look at your face right now..

She walked out leaving her staring at her and Judith was equally surprised though she never said a word after the conversation she had with Naomi the other day.

Eddy called for an urgent meeting and they all met in an hour at their hideout. Every but Dru was there and he was one of the reasons why the were meeting.

Eddy talked to the team about what went down the previous night between him and Dru and everyone except Leo was shocked.

Eddy: I need you guys to watch out because there is a posiblility that Dru will be coming at us.

Dan: so who is he really working with?

Eddy: my guess is Johansen. I think he was trying to break him out before I walked in.

Leo: you understand that if we continue keeping Johansen here we are creating more problems. nothing is moving, the business is slow and the boss is still missing.

Eddy: what do you guys suggest we do?

Dan: we trade Johansen for our boss.

Mike: are you guys even sure that Dru is the one holding our boss?

Eddy: no, Dru's girlfriend who also happens to be our bosses lover said he was taken by people she doesn't know so I don't think Dru knows where he is either.

Mike: so are you saying we have a different team coming at us too?

Eddy: something like that. The worst part is that I don't know what they are really after. If they wanted something from us they would have communicated by now. Maybe they would have traded the boss for what they want.

Leo: and i think we might never get to find out what they want if we don't make a move.

Eddy: so what are you suggesting?

Leo: we kill . If he is important to both of them they will come out clear and say what they want.

Dan: i second Leo. We can't keep a man who is not helping us in anyway.

Eddy wasn't sure if killing Johansen was the right thing because of the flash disks he said he had but he had to make a decision all the same. So he decided to go with what the team wanted. Eddy asked leo to go with him to where Johansen was being held as Dan and Mike organized for a delivery to one of their clients.

Leo: i know you are worried about the disks

Eddy: yeah but do I have a choice?

Leo: we will find out what options we have. Did he ever show you the footage?

Eddy: no but the fact that he knows I assassinated the minister means the disks exist.

They got in to where he was and when he saw the he started laughing.

Johansen: so you realized you can't keep me here anymore, i told you i'm too powerful and you couldn't hold me in here for long.

I took out my gun from behind and c****d it.

Johansen: what are you doing?

Eddy: see there's one thing you don't know, Robert is no longer in your people's custody and that means you nolonger have any leverage.

Johansen: don't be too sure about that.

Eddy: you don't know me do you, I am the son of Anwar and there is nothing I cannot manipulate. I already got your mole and after killing you, I will go after him. It will not be long before I locate your whole crew and wipe them out.

Johansen: you will not get that far.

Eddy: I'm willing to take my chances.

Eddy shot Johansen in the head and he dropped dead then they walked out and asked the new assigned guard to clean the mess and dispose the body..

Dru met up with Johansen's crew and he had a talk with them on what had happened and told them he was now there to work hand in hand with sugu to make sure they got Johansen back and knowing he could not be allowed back at the hide out he planned for an attack to forcefully extract Johansen whom they had no idea already died.

Dru: i need two teams. One will stand put outside as the other storms in, kills off anything moving and rescue Johansen.

Sugu: when do we strike?

Dru: tonight. Eddy is smart and if we take much time he will put up a force that we might not be able to penetrate.. they won't see us coming tonight.

After everyone finishing up what they were doing they met Eddy again for the way forward.

Eddy: now that we know the mole is out there, we need to be extra careful. Now we have an idea of why he was hijacked the other day and who knows what the deal waa about.

Dan: i don't know man but with Johansen dead, this will start a war that i don't think the four of us will manage.

Eddy: it's not just the four of us.

He whistled and a few guys came walking towards where they were.

Eddy: we have a team whose been training for a while now. From my left is priest, Denis, Jack, Ted, Soja and msosi.. they are all part of the team now and equally as dangerous.

The three introduced themselves then Eddy gave them the way forward.

Niki walked into the company and found Esther seated by the reception as usual and knowing who she was, she quickly got up and said hello to her.

Esther: it's been a while miss Niki are you here for your brother?

Niki: no Esther, I'm here to see Anderson is he in?

Esther: they were both in a meeting so let me confirm if he is done..

Esther called in Anderson's office and he asked her to allow Niki in...

Esther: he will see you. You can head to his office.

Niki walked towards Anderson's office as Esther bent over to watch her the clapped her hands and laughed.

Esther seemed to have known everything that was going in and around the office. Her being too nosey was known to everyone who crossed her path..

Esther: not shocking at all. Mother and daughter riding the same horse lol. This is going to be very interesting.

Anderson served himself a cup of tea and turned in time just to see Niki walk in. He smiled and took his seat as she found her way to the seat opposite him.

Anderson: it's good to see you Niki.

Niki: well I can't say the same. You and my mum,....really?

Anderson: i hope that's not what brought you here.

Niki: why her of all the people you could screw?

Anderson: maybe to make you feel the way you are feeling now. I don't even love her but you hurt me Niki and I have my way of getting over it.

Niki: do you know what will happen to you if any of my brother's found out what both of you are doing?

Anderson: which brothers are you taking about, the cute one who looks gay or the criminal one who won't stay out of jail?

Niki: i dont know about your point of view but stop sleeping around with my mother, especially not in my father's bedroom

Sean: what, what was that?

Sean asked coming in having heard abit of the conversation.

Anderson put his cup on the table pocketing and smiling at Sean who walking up towards him.

Sean: you sleep with my mother?

Anderson: is she not a woman like any other?

When Sean heard that he gave him a blow and he landed on the seat before getting up and grabbing Sean by collar and hitting him too. The blows became serious as Sean swept Anderson's feet off the ground and they both landed on the floor.

Niki: stop it both of you...

She shouted and when they were not letting go of each other Niki got out of the office and started shouting for help and a few minutes later people flocked Anderson's office and the boys separated them.

Sean walked out of that office without a word to anyone and Niki grabbed her bag and followed him out hurriedly.

"Sean wait!" She called after him but he did not stop. Esther was left laughing as she got up from her desk and went to see what was happening in Anderson's office...

"You are looking good girl" where to?

Eva asked handing venessa some shopping so that she could prepare a meal for everyone. After the previous night, none of them bothered to go back to their houses but i was not complaining i wanted them safe and if my house was safe them it was good enough for me.

Me: I am having lunch with Sean.

Eva: mmmh nice. Eddy left upset yesterday I do not know if I'm the only one who noticed.

Me: he was just having a bad day with everything that had happened. He should be fine.

Eva: and you,..are you okay?

Me: yes, just a bit worried.

Eva: worried about what?

Me: Eddy is interested in me but Sean already asked me to go out with him. I'm confused.

Eva: what is confusing, it's just a matter of picking who you really want.

Me: i know that. Sean is sweet and gentle while Eddy is rough but I like his company.

Eva: you don't have to figure it out all right now, take your time.

Me: i will. Look after our friend, i will get going.

Eddy in the process of issuing assignment asked Dan to get his laptop from his office but he got a call immediately and he asked Mike to do it instead.

Mike hurried towards Eddy's office and when he got there he opened the laptop but by bad luck he could not access it.

Mike: s**t! What is so important that you have to protect everything with a password?

He asked himself as he took the laptop and took it to Eddy who realised he left the laptop shut but when Mike brought it it was on.

Eddy: have you found someone in my office?

Mike: just the cleaner.

Eddy: now this is how we will roll. We will trace Dru and try to find where they are holding Robert, i know someone who can help us with that.

He showed all of them photos of venessa from his laptop and some of the photos she took with those boss.

Eddy: this is venessa. Sam, i need you to follow her around. Take note of all her moves who she is meeting, the places she is visiting I want your eyes on her like a hawk. Make sure she dies not know you are following her.

Dan you will be making deliveries at JoJo's place together with msosi. While mike, Denis and Jack you will work in the same team. Once Leo and I track down Robert the three of you will be part of the strike team. Anything else I need to clarify?

There was silence meaning everything was understood.

Niki caught up to Sean but he didn't stop. She was running after him like a little puppy and he answered her questions on the move.

Niki: Sean wait! Where are you going?

Sean: I'm meeting someone.

Niki: you need to get the cut checked.

Sean: I will take care of it.

Niki: Sean!

He got in his car and drove off leaving her standing there.

A few minutes later he got to his home and

Quickly got out of his car heading for the house.

Sean: mum!

He called as he rushed inside the house looking around.

Judith rushed to the door and met up with him.

Sean: is my mum here?

Judith: no, she left a few minutes ago, what happened to your face?

Sean: nothing to worry about.

Judith: no sit down and let me take a look at that..

Sean sat as Judith went for first aid kit while he called Rayna to let her know he was on his way.

After the commotion at the office, Anderson took care of his bleeding mouth then after everyone had left the office he made a call and it was picked after ringing for a while.

Anderson: i don't think the plan will work with Sean in the picture. Find a way of getting rid of him as soon as possible. I already have his mother where I want her...
