SAVAGE AFFAIRS EPISODE TEN

Judith addressed Sean's wound as they talked and soon after Niki walked in and seeing Sean's car at the parking got her even more upset.

She came in shouting his name and was just in time to find Judith winding up whatever she was doing and they both looked at her.

Niki: seriously, you had things to attend to?

Sean: not now Niki.

Sean got up and walked out leaving Niki and Judith watching him disappear from their sight.

Judith: what was that about?

Niki: he got into a fight in the office. Where is my mum?

Judith: she left.

Sean got to his car and called his mother.

Naomi: sean?

Sean: can I meet you later today, I came by the house and you are not here.

Naomi: is there a problem?

Sean: create time in the evening I will be here so that we can talk about it.

Half a minute later Sean checked in and as usual he was a few minutes late for our date. I got up to hug him then we sat and first of all I was worried about the cut on his head.

Sean: don't worry about that, it's just a cut. I'm sorry I'm late.

Me: was it traffic?

The truth is I hated being kept waiting and I was afraid this could become a habit.

Sean: no i had to attend to a few things before getting here.

Me: next time don't ask me out when you have things to attend to at the exact same time we are meeting.

Sean: I am truly sorry.

I wasn't sorry for being tough on him because I knew that if a man was full of excuses in the first dating period then he would definitely be a headache tge entire relationship but who knows maybe I also had Eddy in mind and after telling me about his girlfriend and how she died, i kinda felt for him.

Sean and I made our orders and we talked about alot of stuff as we ate. We talked about family and a few challenges that came with him being a young entrepreneur and he advised and gave me a talk on being a good business man.

Sean was very intelligent and fun to be around. I was dying to know why with all these intelligence and successful life why didn't he have a girlfriend and why me.

Sean: my view on relationship was influenced by my parents but in a negative way. Dad being a politician had all the money to take out the college girl and sleep around with them. He cheated on mum several times and even though we got everything we wanted, there was no peace at home.

Me: but that was about your mum and dad, it doesn't mean you would end up like him.

Sean: i know that but naturally I'm a conflict avoider, I saw how mum would get upset and hell would break loose. All that gave me an entire different picture of what to expect in a relationship until I met you.

Me: so you have never dated before?

Sean: I have but the relationships never lasted simply because I've always gone in with a mentality that it would never work. I have been extra cautious because coming from a political family meant I had to be careful with whoever I was hanging out with or letting into my life because some of these people have different agendas.

Sean was right as I had seen whatever he was saying happen. Politicians got assassinated and some of their children murdered by people from their inner circle.

Me: so where does all that leave us?

Sean: i couldn't stop thinking about you after that incident at the office and I knew for a fact that guy are the one I've been waiting for. I'm ready to do this and I'm ready to make you the happiest woman alive. I have my fears and weakness but that doesn't make me less of a man. Enough about me. So tell me, will you be my girlfriend?

I smiled then nodded.

Sean: nodding doesn't feel like you are sure.

Me: yes, I will be your girlfriend for better and for worse...

I saw a bright smile on his face and I hoped I would really keep my promise. I knew I felt something for him but I wasn't sure how to go about dating a politicians son.

As they were still preparing for their deliveries, mike excused himself to receive an incoming call and because it was the mystery guy calling, he went far enough fro the rest of the team.

Mike: hey man, looks like we will have to lay down some communication rules, you just cant keep calling anytime yet you know the mole issue hasn't subsided.

Voice: how far with the plan?

Mike: the laptop is password protected and I couldn't access it.

Voice: and how is that my problem, i pay you to make the work done.

Mike: relax man, don't you think I know that, I need time.

Voice: we are having a meeting this evening. Make sure you are here. I don't have much time to finish up the Anwar clan and everyone I have hired is just useless.

Mike: then you should have done the damn job yourself.

Voice: what was that?

Mike: see you in the evening boss!.

Mike almost smashed his phone on the ground but on second thought he didn't. He went back to where the rest of the team was and after they had finished up packing, they left to make the deliveries.

Dan and msosi's car left first and was shortly followed by mikes team who were headed East. Soja was still with leo and Eddy as they waited for Matasi to show up.

Leo: have you heard from Dru?

Eddy: not yet but I know he is somewhere cooking a plan, how could we not see this. We had all the signs of him challenging me and stuff. How could we not see that?

Leo: I did but you said despite all that he couldn't be the mole and how sure are we that Dan is not part of it too?

Eddy: i don't think he knew of Dru's move because I would have found both of them here when Dru was trying to break Johansen out.

Soon after matasi walked in and after an introduction to Soja, they got down to business.

Eddy: we have two issues on the desk. One, I need CCTV installed around this place with a screen showing all angles. I don't know if you are the right guy for that but the business has become bigger and that means a lot of threat from the outside forces.

Matasi: i can arrange for that and make it happen.

Eddy: do a quotation on the costs. The the second issue is I need a tracking device infact a few of them to monitor the vehicles and making sure no vehicles are hijacked for not using the right route. We are in business and stuff like h****k and stolen merchandise is bad for business.

Matasi: like how many are we talking about?

Eddy: three. For three cars.

He noted that down but told Eddy he had two with him at the moment and could leave those with him as he got the other one later.

Eddy: that is even better because he will need one right now. Please confirm the location of this number.

He gave him venessa's number and he confirmed that venessa was still at Rayna's house.

Leo: now to the two of you, we hope you will handle all these with maximum discreetness and especially you matasi. It is very important that no one knows about the moves we are making.

Soja: i understand that perfectly well. A question though, what happens after noting the destinations of her visits.

Eddy: take photos of whoever she is meeting that will help us figure out if she was telling the truth or not.

Matasi: you can trust me. I will not let you down.

Leo: matasi can you be able to trace Dru. We need to know where we are starting our search from.

Matasi: not with the number he was using previously not unless we get a new number or we run his number plate assuming he is still using the same car.

Leo gave him the numbers on Dru's car and after running the numbers he told them the location of the car.

Matasi: i will be following it and should it move from that location I will tell you where it is headed..

Eddy: good, you will now be on the payroll like the rest of the team. We will discuss your payments..any questions?

No one had a question so the meeting was dismissed.

They both left the place headed for their different destinations.

Eva had left Rayna's house and went to her place to change clothes and do a few things before she got to meet one of her clients who wanted her hair done. Eva was mobile and she had a lot of clients whom she attended to at their own comfort since most of them were cashed and preferred their hairs made from home.

She did everything she was supposed to do and after taking a shower and dressing up, she walked into her sitting room to meet Dru seated on her sofa.

Dru: hello Eva

She was shocked that she didn't even respond to that.

Eva: how...how did you get in here?

Dru: through the door. How else would I get in?

Eva: what do you want?

Dru: I warned you not to open your mouth but you did anyway.

Eva: she is my friend and she said you would kill her.

Dru: the only person I'm feeling murderous about is you...for her I like her but i can't say the same for you now where is she?

Eva: I left her at Rayna's place.

Dru: okay. Here is the deal. I want you to work for me. You find out the information about where venessa lover Mr Robert is and you tell me about it. I also want you to follow her around, know who she is meeting and what they are talking about. Eddy Anwar too. I need you to be in his business. I need to know where he is going, what he is thinking and what he is planning and You have to report to me every day and that's the only way you get to live.

Eva: no. About Eddy you will have to sort yourself out. Eddy and Rayna have a thing and incase you don't have the memo, Rayna is my best friend and so is vee

Dru: yeah I don't care about the girl code crap. You will do what I say because failure to that, I will dig your ailing mother alive so deep in her grave before I make you join her with a bullet in your head.

Eva: my mother?

Dru: Rosemary. Yes your mother. I have done my homework Eva and trust me when i say you don't want to double cross me or refuse an offer of half a million. Your mother will need it for her kidney transplant and her medication.

He got up and threw an envelope on the table then looked at her and smiled. Money covers all the guilt and heals all the wounds... that's two hundred thousand down p*****t. Your job starts today.. i will be waiting for your first report..

He started to walk away and Eva stopped him so he turned and looked at her.

Eva: why me?

Dru: because you are the only one they will never suspect and besides that, wouldn't you want to spend a night in the bed of someone like Eddy Anwar, he is cashed, he is powerful and oh, i don't give a s**t about your relationships. See you around Eva...

When Dru walked out and Eva sat on the couch and buried her face in her hands. She looked up when she got a call from the client she was going to see so she took the money, stuffed it in her handbag and left the house..

Eddy and leo got where matasi said Dru's car would be and true to his word the car was there but the bad news was that the car was at a mechanics shop at a place a bit far off from town.

Leo: what would Dru come all this way for?

Eddy: let's find out.

They were taken to the mechanic who was handling that vehicle and to their surprise, the car had been brought in for second hand sell and there was already a client who was interested in it.

Eddy: how long ago was the car brought in?

Mechanic: yesterday say around noon or so.

Eddy: do you know the owner personally?

Mechanic: no but he was referred but a friend whose car I fix on several occasions.

Eddy: what's the name of your friend.

Mechanic: i'm sorry I can't tell you that.

Leo: even with a little something in your pocket?

Mechanic: no thanks. We don't give such information.

He walked away from them so Eddy and leo went back to their car and drove off.

Eddy: i can't believe we came all this way for nothing.

Leo: Dru is smart. He knew we would go after him at all cost.

Eddy: so now that the plan has flopped, what next?

Leo: we wait for odhi soja's advice. Maybe he will have something by tomorrow. Do you think she lied when she said she didn't know who took Robert?

Eddy: i don't know man, women lie all the time. Just that in her case it's complicated because I don't know between Robert and Dru who she really loved. I will also ask Rayna to watch her closely incase she is hiding anything.

Leo: about you and Rayna, what's the deal man?

Eddy: that babe is fine. She awakens all the dead cells in me I mean she has a perfect smile, and she is smart leave alone the fact that she is good company.

Leo: you feel like tossing back into the relationship world?

Eddy: if it means being with her then yes. I'm just not sure if Tiffah would be okay with it.

Leo: Tiffany is dead buddy and I know she would have loved for you to move on. If you've find the one, go for it man, life is too fragile to second guess..

Eddy: you are right. So what about you Mr advice giver?

Leo: I'm gay dude don't you know?

Eddy: what the f**k??

Leo: chill, I'm kidding. My girlfriend is in Arusha for business. She comes home twice in a week.

Eddy: why haven't I met her?

Leo: because you have been operating in team play boy and you know playboys have no boundaries..

Eddy: I've only slept with one girl.

Leo: oh, would that be Zena, Patricia, Zoe, or maybe Jacky which one of them because I'm confused right now.

Eddy smiled and stopped the car.

Leo: why are you stopping i thought you were dropping me home.

Eddy: walk your ass home man, that's punishment for not keeping your nose out of my business.

Leo: yeah right, i will find my way i know you are picking Anita or wanjiku.

He got out laughing and Eddy drove off.

Mike, Anderson and the mystery guy met in him office and as usual he did not disclose his identify to them. He sat behind the not so bright light and smoked a cigar.

Voice: so Mr. Anderson where are we?

He asked letting out smoke that chocked both of them.

Mike: that think is killing us.

Voice: Mr. Anderson?

Anderson: well it didn't work with Niki anwar because she is too sensitive and bright that would easily sniff out my agenda so I decided to find my way by hitting on her mum instead.

Voice: and how is that working out for you?

Anderson: she is in desperate need of attention and I have her at a good place but the problem is Niki and Sean, they found out that I slept with her.

Voice: damn it! I don't pay you to sleep with her, I pay you to..

Anderson: I know what you pay me for. I will deliver but allow me to have some fin while at it.

Voice: what do you plan on doing about Sean and Niki?

Anderson: i will handle them.

Voice: Mike whare are we at?

Mike: I have been given the guys to work with and it has limited my movements. I can't be anywhere without them knowing.

Voice: how do I help with that?

Mike: can you pull that h****k move you did with Dru and Dan? This time kill them..

Anderson looked at him abit surprised.

Mike: what, I'm just saying I can't accomplish anything if I have them on my back constantly.

Voice: i will do that but I need you to do something for me.

Mike: what?

Voice: I need you to cut off Eddy's brakes. It's about time he gets into a terrible accident. I want that file at all cost even if it means getting the entire laptop.

Mike: what, you want Eddy dead?

Voice: I want all of them dead. It's the only way I will release Robert. That is if I don't kill him too..

After my lunch with Sean he dropped me home but because he was going home to see his mother he could not come in for a cup of tea and in all honesty that was okay by me because I wasn't sure what would happen had he and Eddy bumped into each other and the way he always came to my place un announced.

Sean: we should do this a little more often, don't you think. I love your company.

Me: yes I had a good time too.

I smiled and he hugged me before he left..

That evening Dru called up venessa asking if they could meet up for they had not seen each other after Eddy took her. Venessa agreed to meet him in half an half an hour and Dru being the one on the run picked a place for the Meetup.

When I got home there was no one there so I called vee and she told me she was meeting up with Dru and she mentioned that Eva had gone to see a client.

Venessa was either naive or just being stupid I mean how could she meet up with Dru after an attempt to get her kill. He had shot at her and Eddy and never even bothered to check on her after that. I actually thought that after the talk we had the previous night, she would be a little cautious. Could she be meeting up with Dru so as to go back to their original plan of milking Robert and if that's the case did she know where he was?

I fixed myself some coffee and got to the living room to do some online job but it wasn't long before I heard a knock on the door so I got up and opened it. It was Eddy standing there with one red rose and some take away food. He smiled and walked in as I followed him inside.

Eddy: i know you don't want me here but I can't go a day without seeing you.

He handed me the rose and I took it as he made his way to the couch.

Eddy: I'm sorry for getting mad yesterday. I had no right to.

Me: no, i'm the one who should be sorry. I didn't mean to suggest that you are a murderer.

He took out the food from the bag and handed me one dish then i sat beside him. I wasn't hungry but I didn't want to disappoint him fir being thoughtful of me.

Eddy: so what's new?

Me: nothing much.

Eddy: how is venessa holding up?

Me: she is okay.

He took a piece of chicken and had me bite as he stared right into my eyes and I blushed off. Eddy had this big white eyes that were beautiful to look at. See besides Eddy being so rough and tough, he was actually so sweet in his own little ways.

Me: how is the search for your boss going?

Eddy: we can't trace him. We don't even know who has him because the guy who did, lost him to someone else whom I thought venessa would know but I don't know.

When he mentioned venessa I looked away and continued eating but he turned my face towards him.

Eddy: what is that look, do you know something?

Me: not about your boss but venessa mentioned that the reason why they kidnapped your boss was to get him to transfer all his money to Dru's account.

Eddy looked at me a bit surprised but continued eating and a few minutes into that, a call came through his phone but after seeing who it was he ignored. It rang again and he looked at me as if asking for permission to pick it and I gave him the go a head.

Eddy: Soja..

Soja: sir, I followed the lady and she has met up with someone.

Eddy: can you ID him?

Odhis Soja: average height, brown skin, casually dressed.

Me: that must be Dru. What's going on on the ground?

Odhis Soja: he got in her car and they are talking from there so I'm not even able to plant the tracker.

Eddy: find a way.

He ended the call and met my eyes looking at him.

Me: you don't intend to do something to venessa do you?

Eddy: venessa is your friend not mine and if she keeps pulling moves that makes her a suspect she will die by the bullet. When it comes to her or my boss, you mow who i will pick. Warn her if you want to keep her alive because it's only a matter of time.

Eddy got up picked his keys from the table and walked out. I didn't know what had gotten him upset in that short period of time.

Before he got to the car he saw Eva approaching so he waited to say hallo before he left. They talked for a short while then he got in his car and drove off.

At around 7:00pm Sean walked into the house and after Judith told him his mum was upstairs he asked her to let her know he was around then sat by the dining table.

Judith: do I offer you anything?

Sean: no thanks. Just get my mum here. Is Niki home?

Judith: not yet.

Judith went upstairs to call Naomi as Sean had suggested then came back down.

Judith: how is your head?

Sean: better. Thanks for the first aid.

She nodded and walked away as she heard Naomi coming down.

Judith: i will be around incase you need anything.

Sean: okay.

Naomi: Judith, fix me some coffee. Hi Sean?

Sean: hi mum.

Naomi sat across him and he looked at her for a while before saying a word.

Naomi: you called.

Sean: what is the deal between you and Anderson?

Naomi: why would you ask me that?

Sean: you have been trending in the office. I have been hearing rumors about you and Anderson until Niki confirmed it today.

Naomi: are those workers paid to work or gossip?

Sean: that's not the point mum, people see what you do and how you behave, you are the boss and I really don't care about who you choose to hang out with but your relationship with Anderson is affecting me negativity at the office.

Naomi: is that why you broke his nose?

Sean: funny enough you didn't notice the cut on my head but you noticed that I broke his nose.

Naomi: you should have let me handle it.

Sean: and what would you have done differently mum?

She didn't answer that and Niki came in cat walking in her heals and didn't talk to Naomi but pulled a chair and sat besides Sean.

Naomi: I'm talking to your brother.

Niki: you can continue talking. I will be quiet.

She said scrolling through her phone then she looked up at Sean who had his eyes fixed on her.

Niki: what?

Sean: we are talking some serious stuff.

Niki: the last time I checked we all met at a table and discussed whatever is affecting the family. Fine, you don't need me here but I will speak my mind anyway. Mum I know Sean loves you so much and he wouldn't tell you this but you are a disgrace to the family. You keep saying how I am and atleast for me I'm still very single unlike you who runs around from one hotel to the other seen in company of a boy younger than your own sons. Aren't there enough men out there?

Sean: Niki stop it.

Niki: no, she should hear this because bloggers won't stop talking.

She took her phone and showed Sean what she was talking about.

Niki: I don't care about your relationships but you should think about us and the Anwar image. You and Dad put us in this life where we have to be followed around in cameras with no privacy at all. It's bad enough that you want to be a governor yet you are making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Naomi: the last time I checked this was my house and you cannot talk to me like that.

Niki: then let's take it outside mum, lets take it outside where i can shout from the rooftops. This is my father's house too and you can't be disgracing this family yet we keep quiet about it. I won't!

Naomi got up and gave her a hot slap. She took her phone from Sean and walked out. Sean got up and followed her outside.

Sean: Niki wait!

He ran to catch up with her and grabbed her arm.

Niki: she slapped me for telling her the truth?

Sean: she is our mum, your words were a little too harsh.

Niki: so i should have hugged her and congratulated her for sleeping with a person I once slept with?

Sean: you did what?

Sean asked letting go of her and stepping back.

Niki: yeah now you know why I had to give her a piece of my mind, I can't even walk along those corridors without people gossiping.

Sean: I will handle him, and leave mum to me too.

She left Sean standing there and got in her car.

Niki: talk some sense into her Sean.

She drove off and Sean went back inside.
