SAVAGE AFFAIRS EPISODE FOUR

Later on Dru and Dan got up from their attack and found themselves lying by the road with a few people staring at them. They quickly got up, got in their car and drove off.

Dan: who were those guys?

Dru: I don't know.

Dan: why would they attack us but not take our guns or anything from us?

Dru: I don't know man, wasn't I in the same position as you were. What the hell are we supposed to do without that stuff. What about the client.

Dan: we need to call in and tell Eddy what happened.

Dan got his phone and called Eddy who picked the call immediately and because he was still with Leo he put the call on speaker as he sat on the table beside it.

Eddy: that was fast, I want to assume the client is happy with the delivery?

Dan: no. We ran into a slag

Leo: what do you mean by that?

Dru: we got attacked on our way and the guys took the merchandise.

Eddy: wait, all of it?

Dan: yes. Surprisingly, they didn't take our guns just beat us up and left us unconscious.

Eddy: were you able to ID them?

Dan: no. We have never seen them before.

Eddy: damn it. The client is waiting at the airport and we don't have much time neither can we disappoint. We will loose business.

Eddy got up from the table and paced across the room.

Dru: what do we do?

Eddy: I'm trying to think. You guys can't come back here for the merchandise and make it back in time.

Leo: maybe they don't have to, I can deliver it myself with my bike, it will be faster.

Eddy: okay guys. You can come back, Leo will do the delivery but we still have to find out who these guys are and what they want.

Eddy hanged up then had a word with Leo before he saw him off to get the drugs packed for him.

Leo: there is something off about that story. Why would someone attack the boys, how did they know they would be on the road headed to the airport?

Eddy: you are right. The suspicion about the mole is becoming more evident just that i can't figure out who it is.

Leo: let's find the boss first. I think it's about time that Johansen guy tells us what's going on.

Eddy: he wouldn't talk and as much as I want to pull the trigger on him I can't because he has something against me.

Leo: what does he have against you?

Eddy: he has several flash disks with videos of me killing the minister for internal affairs. I don't know how he got the footage but he made it clear that should something happen to him, his guys would upload the video and you know what that will do to my mother.

Leo: damn!

Eddy: yeah damn! Come on. Get these stuff delivered then come back. We need to throw a search party for the boss. I will check in with mike on how far he has gone finding an IT guy..

Leo got on his bike and too off as Eddy got in his car and drove off after getting a call from his mother....

Robert begged venessa to let him go then he would make it up to her but she couldn't. Roberts leg had swollen and he needed medical attention and since venessa didn't know how to go about taking care of a gunshot wound, she didn't do anything about. Two hours later Dru got back and found venessa seated on the couch reading a magazine with her legs crossed on top of the table. When she saw him, she quickly got up, hugged him and kissed him before they both settled down on the couch even though Dru didn't seem to be in a very good mood.

Venessa: what happened in that meeting that got you into a bad mood?

Dru: it's not the meeting. We were attacked on our way to make some deliveries.

Venessa: by who?

Dru: I don't know. How is our prisoner?

Venessa: been begging me to let him go. Says he needs to see a doctor.

Dru opened the door to the room and went in followed by venessa.

Dru: what happened to the mighty all commanding and all knowing boss?

Robert: of all the people you had to be the one to betray me. I trusted you Andrew.

Dru: yeah that's what happens when you trust someone without checking their background or knowing their agendas.

Robert: what do you mean by that?

Dru: the question should be what do I want so that the score can be settled.

Robert: what scores are you talking about, i gave you a roof over your head, I gave you a car and I pay you well.

Dru: you don't give me anything, i have worked so hard for everything you claim to have given me. I killed people and alot of them for me to earn that good pay.

Robert: then what do you want with me damnit!

Dru: I want everything that you have, then i will kill you and run your empire after that. There is alot you need to know, but with time. I first I need to get rid of your most trusted employees.

Robert: and how far do you think you will go before they figure you out?

Dru: well, let's just wait and see.

He walked out and venessa was left staring at him for a while before locking the door and following Dru.

Venessa: what was that about?

Dru: nothing you should be worried about.

Venessa: really now, i did everything you asked and it turns out you have hidden agendas?

Dru: girl please, this is not the time you want to burst my eardrums with your constant whining.

Venessa held his arm and turned him to face her cupping his face in her hands looking into his eyes.

Venessa: I know you are stressed out and I'm sorry about your day but it hurts when you talk to me like that.

He put her hands down and sat on the couch as she sat beside him.

Venessa: would you like to eat, i prepared something.

Dru: no thanks. I've got to go.

He got up ready to leave.

Venessa: where are you going?

He looked at her and walked out without saying another word...

Naomi's home

Sean walked in and found his mother winding up a meeting with some women and so he decides to go to the kitchen where Judith their house help was. Judith had worked for them for a while and Sean liked her because she was elderly and had alot of wisdom in her. When Naomi was not there, Judith came in handy and gave all the advise he needed.

Judith: look who has finally remembered his way home. Come here my boy..

She said spreading her arms for a hug and Sean hugged her before she had him seat by the table in the kitchen. He smiled as she sat opposite him with a wide smile across her face..

Sean: how is the going Judith?

Judith: all is well my boy. Are you hungry, there's food.

Sean: yes Judith I'm starving.

She got up to go serve his food as he was left staring at something in his phone and smiling to himself. Judith watched him for a while then smiled as she continued what she was doing.

A few minutes later his mother walked in and when he looked up their eyes met so he put his phone on the table, got up and hugged her before pulling her a chair and having her seat close to her..

Naomi: it's good to see you Sean. It's been a while.

Sean: yes, I've been a bit busy setting up the Anwar foundation. We got alot of donors coming in and I think it's about time we focus on it.

Naomi: well you know I don't really have the time to run a charity organization because of my political status and your brother does not have interest in such things. You on the other hand have been working tirelessly on ensuring everything is good at the insurance company and Anderson told me so far you are doing a good job and soon they might consider you for a higher post.

Sean: i don't need to be considered for anything. I don't trust Anderson and i don't know why he is running our father's company in the first place. All the ideas I generate ends up rejected and I'm sick of working under someone who feels like he cannot take correction and can not work with other people's ideas.

Naomi: so what are you saying.

Sean: i think I want to focus more energy where my opinion will be more relevant.

Naomi: are you quiting long life insurance?

Eddy: Yap, that's very typical of my brother who has not seem to put his life together. Not even sure of what he wants in life.

Said Eddy who walked in from the main entrance and from the way he barged into that conversation, it seemed like he had been listening to the conversation. He picked an apple from the bowl and took a bite at it as he joined them at the table. Judith brought Sean's food and set it before him.

Sean: thanks Judith.

Judith: no need to thank me, it's my job.

Eddy: yeah, it's your job. Get me a glass of juice.

Judith walked to the fridge and took the juice and a glass and set it before him then started to walk away...

Eddy: hey hey hey, get back here.

Judith walked back to where he was.

Eddy: I need the juice served inside my glass.

Naomi: Eddy, serve your own juice.

Eddy: come on mum, you pay her to render services to whoever needs it. Judith serve the juice in my glass.

She did as he had commanded then walked out to go clear the mess left behind by the guests.

Sean: did you have to be that rude to her?

Eddy: don't get all angelic with me. She is here to do her job.

Sean: and her job does not include you commanding her around, the lady is old enough to be your mother, have some respect.

Eddy: don't give me that good mannered boy crap. It's not my fault that you see a mother in someone who doesn't even deserve the title.

Naomi: shut up both of you. Is there a time you can both get along without tearing each other apart?

There was a bit of silence before Sean looked up at his mother.

Naomi: what is it?

Sean: I just thought you would talk some sense into him.

Eddy: you know I'm older than you and you can't always go against everything I'm doing.

Sean: being older does not give you the ticket to mistreat people.

Eddy: has she complained?

Naomi: has anyone spoken to Niki?

Sean: yeah she was winding up some shoot for a magazine an hour ago and she said she would be here. What's this meeting about anyway?

Naomi: I'm launching my campaign for governorship for the coming election.

Eddy: you want to be a governor?

He asked laughing out loud looking at their mother who ignored the laughter.

Naomi: yes. I feel like I'm way above the member of parliament seat. Do you think I can make it as a governor?

Sean: mum I love you but this....this is dangerous. You know what happened to dad when he tried vying for the same seat. They finished him off and you were very lucky to be voted in as the member of parliament after dad but don't think those guys are asleep out there, i don't want to bury another person in the name of politics and I certainly don't want to seat close to any of you at another funeral either.

Naomi: Sean!

Sean: no I'm being serious mum, don't get me wrong i want you to succeed in all your plans but I'm not in on this I'm sorry!

Eddy: go for it mum, after all, no one really cares. I don't think I'm staying for anymore of this governorship discussion.

He said getting up and walking away leaving Sean and their mother seated at the table.

Naomi: are you leaving too?

Sean: no I'm waiting for Niki. She needed my help with something.

Naomi: why is it so hard for you as my sons to support me. Who else do you want me to turn to?

Sean did not answer that and soon after Niki showed up with a few bags of shopping and when she saw Sean she dropped them and ran to where he was and he got up and hugged her holding on to each other for a while..

Sean: hey lil sis

Niki: the lost son is back. This is awesome..

She pulled a chair and sat beside him all exited asking him to tell her about his trip to Italy and even before they could get deep into the talk, their mother cleared her throat and Niki looked at her as Judith collected the bags she had dropped on the floor.

Niki: oh mum, sorry... Just that it's been a while before I saw this one.

Judith: where do I put the bags Niki?

Niki: in my room Judith, thanks.

Sean: how was the shoot?

Niki: awesome, I will be on the cover of Glam my life magazine next month.

Sean: I'm happy you are living your dream. Dad would have been proud of you.

Naomi: not in your dancing almost naked in music video and certainly not about the scandals you have been in since he died.

Niki: mum, do you really want us to talk scandals right now?

Sean: no one is talking scandals okay. We are a family and we should not tear each other apart, you just said that remember?

He asked turning to his mum..

Naomi: I'm just saying that her choice of life is painting a bad image on me as her mother and an aspiring governor.

Niki turned to look at her and laughed.

Naomi: what's funny?

Niki: aspiring governor, that's new.. since when?

Naomi: since I realized I can achieve alot by bringing development. I can do alot that I never got to do as an mp.

Niki: I think you mean to say put more government funds into your pockets. Mum in all honesty, i couldn't care less what you choose to do with your life. Where is Eddy anyway, i thought we were having a family meeting..

Just then their mother got a call and she excused herself to receive the call from a different room.

Sean: that was mean. She is our mum Niki..

Niki: then she should act like one. We all know that all she cares about is her position in the government. I love her but my life is not going to come to a stop in support of someone who has never done the same. Right now I'm doing so well but she has never been a part of my life or anything I do.

Sean: because you have not made it exactly easy for her..

Niki: are you judging right now?

Sean: no. You are my little sister and I love you, all I'm saying is just cut her some slack she is really trying..

Niki: is Eddy coming?

Sean: he left, I even thought you bumped into him on your way in.

Judith: excuse me Niki, can I server you some food?

Niki: yes please...

Dru knocked on some door and shortly after was opened by a lady dressed in a pair of shorts and a sleeveless top. He had a bottle of wine in his hand and the lady took it from him before hugging and ushering him in. Her name was Malika, Dru's long term girlfriend.

Malika: I didn't think you were coming.

Dru: yeah I know. I never thought I would come too but how else would I spend my evening if not by your side.

He said hugging her from behind and walking towards the kitchen.

Malika: how was work?

Dru: alot has been going on but I'm managing. I am working on a deal that hopefully will go through and give us a new life. You will have everything you have ever wanted in this life.

Malika: are you for real baby?

Dru: yes. Just give it time. Your life will change for the better.

Malika: mmmh, I want to believe that...

Dru: so what's cooking?

Malika: your favourite.

She took off the lead to the cooking pan, scooped some soup and had him taste.

Dru: mmh, nice...

He lifted her off the floor, had her seat on the kitchen counter and kissed her...

Mike went to one of the guys Dru had sent him to after making the call and setting up a meeting and when he got there, he found a big shop with a lot of computers, laptops and music systems being sold in it. Mike got in and asked for a guy known as Matasi.

Matasi: mike right?

Mike: yes.

Matasi: come this way.

He said showing him to a small office within the shop and they sat.

Matasi: yes, talk to me.

Mike: I was referred to you by Dru. He said you can perform hacks into different systems and trace calls and such stuff?

Matasi: yes. He is right but who are you and why do you want systems hacked and calls traced.

Mike: it's not me actually. Our boss has gone missing and we need to find him.. his right hand man gave me the job to look for an IT guys and Dru happened to know a few.

Matasi: i get it. So what's the deal?

Mike: that one you will discuss with Eddy. He will give your job description but I need to caution you. If you have some shady deals with Dru you better drop it because Eddy is not the type of a guy you want to mess up with.

Matasi: why would you think I have shady deals with Dru?

Mike: I don't but Dru and Eddy are not exactly friends so with my criminal mind I would think he would recommend you to spy for him. Don't dig your own grave.. consider this a heads-up.

Matasi: warning taken seriously. When do I meet this Eddy?

Mike: I will give you a call...

Mike got out of that place after matasi seeing him off and while in the car, he made another call and let Eddy know he had succeeded in getting the IT guy.

Eddy: can he be trusted?

Mike: yes.

Eddy: okay, bring him in tomorrow...

Eddy hunged up and Mike made another call and the receiver picked without saying a word...

Mike: it's a done deal. The trap is set.

Voice: good...
