SAVAGE AFFAIRS EPISODE SEVEN

Eva had venessa settle on the couch as she prepared her some coffee to calm her down before she got to tell her what was really going on.

Venessa had collected her sim after her phone was shot and put it on another phone and that's how matasi traced her.

Eva had just handed her the mug of coffee when they heard a knock on the door and venessa got up very scared.

Venessa: it's him. Don't open.

Eva thought venessa was behaving rather strange so she went ahead and opened the door anyway and Dru pointed a gun to her face as she walked backwards to the house.

Dru: you thought you could run from me?

Venessa: I wasn't running, I was just so scared.

Dru: you should have called me

venessa: my phone got damaged and Eva just helped me with one that she is not using. I was just about to call you.

He looked at venessa then back to Eva and lowered his gun.

Dru: what does she know?

Venessa: nothing I swear.

Dru: get out, we are leaving.

Venessa got out in a hurry and left Dru with Eva inside.

Dru: what did you two talk about?

Eva: nothing yet.

Dru: it better stay that way. If I hear as much as a syllable from your mouth, I will deal with you

Eva: as long as nothing happens to her, you have my word.

Dru gave her a stern look then walked walked out and joined venessa in the car then he drove off...

Eddy and Leo let matasi go but decided to keep a close watch on him since they knew the mole would try reaching out again.

Eddy: what if it is Mike who planted that in his bag?

Leo: what reason would he have to do that. Mike is close to the boss's heart, he would never get him captured.

Eddy: who else can do something like that, Dru, Dan, it's just the five of us and we need to figure out who is against us.

Leo: I say we put set trap by asking matasi to do another job. If the info gets leaked again we kill him but I think he was unaware of the recorder.. the dude was scared for his life.

Eddy: he better pass that test or he will not live to tell the story I need some rest so i will be headed home.

Leo: I think there is not much to do at the hide out so I will go home as well.

Eddy: leo, I think we cannot trust the three until we figure out who the mole is. I have an idea.

Leo: shoot.

Eddy: i think once in a while we should get them followed to know what they are upto when they are not working.

Leo: okay by me but you know how busy the place gets at times. We can't be following guys around when we have much bigger issues to handle...

They got In the car and drove off..

Naomi confronted Judith about her relationship with her son after walking into the kitchen and she sat by the table. She felt like Naomi got to him in ways that she his mother could not.

Judith: good evening, can i serve you Something?

She did not respond to that.

Naomi: what were you and Sean talking about last night?

Judith: nothing much, he was just concerned about how Eddy talked to me.

Naomi: ever since he came back he is different. Has he mentioned what is bothering him to you?

Judith: not really. Why would you ask that?

Naomi: because whenever he is here he prefers to spend more time with you. I know he loves me and stuff but he doesn't trust me with some areas of his life.

Naomi: why are you only asking about him. You have three children and as far as I'm concerned none of them wants to be around you.

Naomi: what are you trying to say, that I'm a bad mother?

Judith: no. I just feel like you have no time for them but yourself. The only time you actively talk to the them is when you are talking politics the rest of the time you are on your phone. They don't feel your presence in their lives because you don't give them that chance. Before work you are a mother and you should look out to your children's interests first.

Naomi: you know too well that they are not children. They are grown men and they don't need me fir anything really, its not like they will need a diaper change or anything..

Judith: and that's where you loose it. Sometimes they just need you to ask if they are okay, what they are going, they just need you to be present in their lives..

Naomi did not say anything after Judith told her that.

Robert's capturer walked into the room he was being held hostage and sat right in front of him with a chair and leaned in to have a conversation with him.

Voice: i will have the doctor check your foot but in exchange of something.

Robert: what?

Voice : information. I want to know everything about Eddy Anwar.

Robert: I am telling you nothing.

The guy laughed then looked around before grabbing him down there and squeezing him then watched him groan in pain.

Voice: listen up, mr. Eddy Anwar took away something from me and I want to revenge by causing their downfall. I will go after them and take them out one by one but Eddy will be last. His death will be more painful than the rest.

Robert: I guarantee you that you will not go far with your plans before Eddy figures you out. He is that good at his job.

Voice: really, then why are you here, if he was Superman he could have already traced you here.

Robert: he will.

Voice: i'm banking on that. The moment he set foot here, i will forget who needs to go down first.

Robert: if you need Anwar and not me, why are you holding me hostage.

Voice: oh trust me I have no interest in you.

Eddy came to my house as usual and this time he was rather upset. I didn't know how to keep him off since my place seemed to be that place he came to unwind after having a crazy day. I didn't understand what he wanted with me because he never made it clear.

He walked in and sat then I sat next to him. I didn't know him that much but seeing him like that got me worried. I held his shoulder and he turned to look at me.

Me: bad day?

Eddy: yeah.

Me: what happened?

Eddy: i failed in completing a task.

Me: what was your reason for failure.

Eddy: someone got ahead of me and screwed up my plans.

Me: you want to talk about it?

He looked a way and did not respond to that so my guess was that he didn't.

Eddy: have you heard anything about venessa?

Me: no. Why?

Eddy: talking to her will solve a few puzzles. I need to know who she is working with.

Me: i gave you a number.

Eddy: which I traced but by the time we got there, they were missing. It's like someone tipped her off, did you?

Me: no. Why would i do that?

Eddy: because she is your friend.

Me: let's say you found her, what's most likely to happen?

He didn't answer that but made a call instead and it got picked almost immediately.

Eddy: trace the number again and tell me where the lady is and this time I want you to be super accurate.

Matasi: yes sir. Sending you her location in a few minutes.

Eddy hanged up.

Me: is there anything I can do to make you feel better?

Edgy: yeah some coffee would do.

He said making yet another call asking someone to make bullet and a few guns supply as I got up to go fix his coffee..

Dru: what were you thinking leaving the house, I told you not to.

Venessa: maybe things wouldn't have gotten that bad if you were around.

Dru: do you know what you just did?

Venessa: why are you so cold towards me, does it even occur to you that if that guys would have found me in that house they would have killed me, where have you been anyway?

Dru: I've been busy. What were you looking for outside when you had all the supplies?

Venessa: i didn't. I had to get a few things and how was I to know that people would come storming in?

Dru: I'm not blaming you but in this business you can't afford to make silly mistakes. Now I have to rethink on how to get him back but how is that even possible when I don't know where he is?

There was silence for a while..

Dru: what does your friend know about us?

Venessa: nothing. I didn't tell her anything.

Dru: it better stay that way because a slip of tongue from her will cost her her life.

Venessa: do I mean anything to you anymore or all that love and affection was because you wanted to me to help you get your boss?

Dru: now why would you ask me such a question?

Venessa: because you have changed. I expected you to spend time with me but you were nowhere. You never picked my calls and never bothered to call back.

Dru: I'm sorry I got tied up with some other things. Come here..

He said making her cross over from her seat and had her sit on him facing him with her legs across his hips and he kissed and caressed her as he apologized teasing and making her laugh and when their bodies couldn't resist each other they made out in the car...

A few minutes later I came back with two mugs of coffee and gave Eddy one then sat beside him. He put the mug on the table after taking a sip and shifted his attention to me.

Eddy: i'm sorry for always showing up without your consent.

I didn't respond.

Eddy: I once loved a girl. You remind me of her.... alot.

Me: in what ways, I haven't spent that much time with you.

Eddy: in a lot of ways, you are gentle, sensitive and very beautiful. She was beautiful and intelligent.

Me: okay....so what happened to this girl?

He took another sip of his coffee.

Eddy: I had just joined the gang and worked with them for a few months. Tiffah and I were on a date that night and was so exited after she told me we were expecting a baby. I got a call that there was a mission and i was needed so I cut short the date and decide to put Tiffah in a cab but I had no idea some of the bad guys had been following me around. The moment we stepped out of the restaurant they shot ar us and because I had opened the door and Tiffah stepped out first, she got shot. I tried fighting back by shooting at them all confused because Tiffah had been shot but the guys would stop shooting..

I took down two of their men and the rest of the team took off.

As he talked about the incident, I saw him get emotional. A tear dropped and I wiped it with my finger and he looked away.

Me: i'm sorry. What happened after that?

Eddy: Tiffah died and by bad luck the police were patrolling and after the shootout they found me at the scene with people sorounding us and by then i didn't even know what to do because she was already dead. I got arrested and was charged with murder and illegal ownership of firearm but my mum knew people who knew alot of people so she had the judge bribed and he let me go with a bond that my mother also took care of.

Me: and what happened after Tiffah's death?

Eddy: i had been detained for two weeks so i never got to attend her burial. The family was so mad at me and when her father heard that I had been set free, he hired goons to come after me and I managed to kill all of them except one whom I interrogated before killing and he told me they had been sent by Tiffah's Dad.

I talked to my boss and he sent a team who wiped out everyone and everything that was breathing in Tiffah's home.

Me: wow!

He looked at me with tears still rolling down his face.

Eddy: it was a terrible scene and that moment defined me.. I stopped giving a damn about life because my father was murdered brutally in a similar way after taking a stand to vie for governorship. The only reason why we are still alive is because my mother took all of us for a vacation in Dubai when all that went down.

I was mad at the world and i was mad at myself for not being able to protect Tiffah and our unborn baby.

Me: it's not your fault that Tiffah died and you tried your best to contain the situation.

Eddy: if I tried my best Tiffany would still be here and this very day we would be celebrating our anniversary.

I took him in my arms and hugged him. I didn't know what else to do in such a situation for i knew he was hurting. That was indeed so much for one person but after loosing all that, why was he still in that business?

The hug started getting a little cosy so I broke free from it and looked at him.

Eddy: I'm sorry. I shouldn't be here.

Me: no, it's okay. I understood how you feel.

Eddy: no you don't.

A text came through his phone and after taking a look at it he got up and so did I to see him off. He walked to the door then stoped and looked at me.

Eddy: on this day every year, I relive a painful memory that has forever stuck in my mind. I like you. That's why I keep coming here but however tough I seem to be, I'm so afraid of giving way to whatever I'm feeling.

Me: what you are feeling could just be infatuation. It's not love related because you look at me and see her. You haven't moved on from her Eddy and that's understandable.

Eddy: can you help me move on from her?

Me: I can't promise you that.

Eddy: why not?

Me: it's abit complicated.

Eddy came closer and planted a wet kiss on my mouth before taking his phone and dialing a number.

Eddy: I don't believe in complications.

He said as he walked out making a call and I shut the door and leaned on it still shocked at his kiss and response.

Eddy: i've found the girl. Headed to the location sent by matasi. Update in a few.

Leo: okay. Let me know if you need back up.

Dru dropped off venessa at her place after finishing their business and drove off to some site where he was having a meeting with Johansen's guys.

He got there twenty minutes later and guys were already assembled waiting for him.

Dru: thanks guys for responding to the meeting. As you all know Johansen was captured and he has been locked up in a place we can't reach him. However he told me to take charge and assured you guys that everything will be just fine. When I'm not here sugu will take charge and he will let you know the plans. We need to break Johansen out and I will need all of you. Ten is a good number because the guys holding him are highly trained and very dangerous. The many we are the better.

Sugu: do i need to recruit some more guys?

Dru: no. These are enough. Recruitment of new guys means training from the start and we don't have that much time.

Sugu: when are we striking?

Dru: soon, I have to study the place properly and know how many guards operate at night and how accessible the place is. I will communicate.

Sugu: you said you communicated with him and he gave you instructions. How did he if you can't see him?

Dru: through a guard. Keep training the guys i will communicate.

He said walking out of the meeting after briefing the team...

Eddy got to venessa place and since he knew venessa knew who he was, he did not knock but kicked open the door and walked in. Venessa was in the shower and when the door got kicked in she hurriedly got of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her waist.

Venessa: babe is that you?

There was silence until she got to the living room and found Eddy standing there with a gun in his hand.

Venessa: Eddy,

Eddy: good you know me so we will skip the introduction. Who the hell are you working for and where did they take my boss?

Venessa: some men took him.

Eddy: yeah I know that, where the hell did they take him?

Venessa: i swear I don't know.

Eddy c****d his gun and pointed it at her.

Eddy: if I have to ask again, I will drown you in your own blood now where the hell is he?..

Even before she could answer that, a text came through her phone and Eddy picked it from the table and read the text out loud. " Babe I love you, have a good rest"

He checked the number but it was not familiar.

Eddy: is he the one texting you?

She shook her head and by then she was really shaking out of fear. Eddy called matasi and asked him to run that number and tell him who it belonged to.

Matasi: should be able to do that in ten minutes.

Eddy hanged up and asked venessa to dress up. Twenty minutes later venessa had finished dressing up on Eddy's watch so that she could not make any stupid moves.

Matasi called shortly after and Eddy looked at her noticing how nervous she was before he picked the call..

Eddy: yes matasi.....do you have a name?..
