Chapter 26: Braving up

1735 Words
Mrs. Anaya knew that her younger sister's two daughters were too spoiled and a pain in her younger sister's neck, as they were all corrupted. The three ladies refused to marry and kept changing different men, getting buttocks and breast plastic surgery to force a shape, and yet they were all short and single. Mrs. Anaya knew that her sister really admired Jessica, as Mrs. Rita wished that one of her three daughters was already as cool-headed as Jessica. Yet, none of them were, and they also wanted to cause Mrs. Rita hypertension with their waywardness. "Come, let me escort you so you can get home on time. You know, ever since you all moved out from around here, it hasn't been easy for me to travel such a long distance to your home," said Mrs. Anaya as she stood up from the living room couch and walked away with her younger sister to exit the duplex mansion. "I know. You don't have to stress to come visit me. Besides, I am still the baby of the house and the one supposed to be visiting you. I only wish my three daughters will finally settle down this year and marry one of the men they're dating. They refused the arranged marriage that their father and I offered to them, and boldly told me in private that they had to test their future husband's d**k first to know how good he is in bed." Mrs. Anaya tried not to laugh and assured her younger sister. "If you're tired of them, you can come to live with me for a while. Probably when they miss you, they will get back to their senses and marry. But sometimes I wish Jessica was as tough as one of your daughters. Jessica's calmness worries me so much." Mrs. Anaya frowned and Mrs. Rita sighed. "It's okay, big sis. I will inform my husband first about it. If he agrees, then I will come to stay with you for a month or two. My husband is faithful, and I wonder where his daughters get such corrupted behavior from. Even my two sons aren't like that." "Hmm, men. You can never trust them to know where they dip their shafts into. May God help us all. Bye, sister," Mrs. Anaya said as she finally escorted her younger sister outside to the garage. Mrs. Rita's driver was waiting and seeing the two beautiful women who could pass as twins. The driver bowed and greeted them before pulling open the car door for Mrs. Rita to enter into the car owner's seat at the back. "Bye, sister. Send my warm greetings to Jessica," Mrs. Rita said after settling comfortably in her white Porsche Cayenne. "Okay, dear. Bye," Mrs. Anaya replied as she waved goodbye and stood aside. She finally watched her younger sister's car drive away. She went back into the house to see Jessica, as she saw Rex escorting Stephen while carrying Nina in his arms. They stood beside Stephen's car and were still discussing. Mrs. Anaya made her way towards the living room elevator. They had a long spiral staircase leading upstairs to the third floor and also had a built-in elevator for easy access up and down. Arriving at Jessica's former chamber on the second floor, Mrs. Anaya knocked on the huge mahogany black door before entering the sitting room. There, she saw only Caleb sitting and eating cheese as he watched the flat screen television. "Where's your mommy?" Mrs. Anaya asked gently. She didn't like how much Caleb looked like Dylan, but she knew that Jessica had detested coming home and warned them not to transfer their hatred for Dylan to her kids. "My mom is in her room. She's sleeping," Caleb replied with a smile. Mrs. Anaya was forced to smile back at the handsome little boy, as he had a contagious smile on his handsome dark face. 'If only he didn't look like Dylan. He's so adorable like Jessica,' Mrs. Anaya smiled to herself. She walked up to the bedroom door that was connected to the sitting room. She knocked gently on it and discovered that Jessica had locked the door from within. "Jessica! Jessica, are you alright?" Mrs. Anaya asked worriedly. She knocked again, but there was still no response from within. She looked back at Caleb and went to sit with him on the couch. "How's your study at school? Have you closed for this term? What's your result? Did you come first?" Mrs. Anaya asked the little boy. Caleb smiled, as he was a very sharp boy. Only, he didn't understand why his mother sometimes looked sad. He wanted his mother to be happy like him and Nina, and he secretly worried about his mother's sad look at times. "No, mama. We have not closed. Our exam is next week," Caleb replied. Mrs. Anaya's eyes widened at the little boy's sharp response. She thought to herself, 'How can Jessica bring her two kids here when they haven't closed from school and said they came here to spend some time with us? Are you sure she isn't lying to Remy and all of us?' Mrs. Anaya forced a fake smile back at Caleb and said, "Come with me, since your mother is sleeping. Let me take you to your room. It's a room I had specially prepared for you after your mom had given birth to you. But Jessica refused to bring you both here since. Come see it." Mrs. Anaya used styles and took Caleb away, as she wanted to return to speak with Jessica. She knew that Jessica would refuse to speak in front of any of her two kids. Mrs. Anaya also knew that Jessica loved to cover up Dylan's wrongdoings and had lied to them that she personally loved the old-fashioned car that she's driving, while Dylan drove the latest vehicles. 'That stupid in-law of mine. I will deal with him, Ugh,' Mrs. Anaya grimaced to herself, but she didn't show it to Caleb. She happily took the little boy to a kids' room, still on the second floor, and the room had a lot of children's toys and games computer, but for a boy. Truly, Mrs. Anaya had specially prepared the room after Jessica gave birth to Caleb. As Caleb is Mrs. Anaya's first grandchild in both their family and the Robinson family, and Dylan is the first son. Mrs. Anaya's two sons, Remy and Rex, were not yet married. "Wow!" Caleb gasped as he happily ran into the toy room. Opening another door, he found a game room with different types of games for kids that would keep him busy. "Mama, are all these for me?" Caleb asked excitedly as he switched on the game system and picked up the gamepad. "Yes, do you like it? Don't play too roughly with anything, okay? I will send a maid here to assist you. Just tell the servant what you need," Mrs. Anaya replied. "Okay, mama. How about Nina, where is her room?" Caleb inquired, showing concern for his little sister. Mrs. Anaya smiled and answered, "Nina is too small, so she will be staying with me, but I have a lot of dolls for her too." "Okay, mama. Thank you," Caleb happily replied. He then walked over to his Grandma, took her right hand, and kissed her knuckles warmly to show his appreciation. "Take care. I will be back to check on you, and if you need anything, you can ask one of the maids," Mrs. Anaya said as she turned to leave the room after seeing that her grandson was happily engrossed in playing the computer game. Jessica stayed in her previous room, the one she used before she married Dylan. She lay on the bed crying hard, wanting to be alone to cry without her husband, kids, or family seeing. She cried out, "After five years, Dylan. After all I did for you, why?" Tears streamed down Jessica's face as she heard her mother knocking on her bedroom door. She didn't want to open up, knowing Caleb was there and not wanting her son to see her cry. Jessica didn't want her children to be unhappy or to grow up hating their father because of her. She knew Dylan cared for their two kids and wasn't cold towards them or showing hate. Feeling cold and dirty on her warm and neat bed, Jessica contemplated starving herself to death. She wanted to remain locked in her room and end her life, unable to bear the thought of her beloved husband cheating on her and bringing another woman into their home. Jessica cried, but then she remembered that she was pregnant. She thought about her little innocent unborn baby that Dylan had told her was not his, and she also thought about her two kids. "If I die today, what will happen to Caleb and Nina? They will be sad, Mom and Dad will be angry with me, and my two kids, for being a product of me and Dylan's love.. No, I cannot kill myself. I cannot starve to death because of Dylan, I cannot turn slim again. I have grown past that size. Dylan will regret bringing that woman into our home. He will come back to me, he will beg me and realize my worth to him. He will realize that I am worth more than the pleasure he desires out there. He will be back. I love you Dylan, and I will await your return.. I just hope that you don't destroy everything that we have built together. If you don't return.. Then I will be brave enough to move on and know that I gave you a second chance in my life, but you refused to accept it." Jessica sobbed, she stopped crying hard and sat on the bed, taking her phone. For the first time in a while, she went online. She saw photos and videos of the Dy Group event. She went to her profile page that had photos of herself and Dylan as a couple. She didn't react to all those fans mentioning her account name and wanting her to react. She went below Dylan's post about his new company, as his name was trending, and she commented, "Love you Dylan. All the best to you and this will pass too. Good sales."
