Chapter 5

(Ashley POV) I wear a white tank top and yellow balloon shorts. I tied my hair on a bun and didn’t put any makeup since I knew it will be a waste. Walking out of the room, I jumped back with a whelp as I saw Chris leaning next to my door. "You got to stop scaring me," I said as he gave me his million dollar smile. "Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you" he said as I nod and walked to the shooting location with him. "Where are you from? I mean your native" I asked as his eyes snapped to me. "Oh... um… I grew up around here" he said but he averted his eyes as he gave me an answer. He had this strange accent and I was curious to know where he is from. It sounds somewhat British but I knew he is not British from the words he uses. There is a lot of difference in the words American and British use. Chris here uses American words but his accent is close to British but not completely British. He was wearing a well fitted black shirt and white pants. It suited him very much and the dress really made him look taller than he is. Again he doesn’t look British. "I hope you remember our dinner agreement today," he said as I looked at him and smiled. "Of course not. I can't wait" I said as he grinned. "Perfect. I searched and found a good place" he said as I tilted my head. "We are not eating here?"I asked as he shook his head. "Nop. We are going out" he said as I nod. It was a bad idea. Going out is a very bad idea. I may get caught by reporters or maybe even a fan. Besides Millie will likely not allow after that incident we had at the mall. But I really wanted to go. I have never gone on a date after high school. I was prohibited to. And I like him…. Well almost like. I don’t know what I feel when I am around him. But I really love it. Reaching our shooting set we both went our different ways to the put on our costumes. I was provided a yellow sundress this time. It was beautiful with ruffles on the hands and the end of the dress. It was paired up with white sneakers, a hat, and a bag along with a branded sunglass. My hair was made into loose curls that bounced above my shoulder and my makeup was a warm texture. After my appearance was perfect I went to the photoshoot to already see Chris ready and taking warm up shoots. "Hey," Millie said as I waved and walked to her. She briefly told me the plan but my eyes were fixed to a man behind her. Chris looks hot in his sleeveless white shirt and sand color pants. I gulp and looked back at Millie as I felt myself blushing. 'Focus on your work' I scolded myself. "Oh, Millie. I am skipping dinner today" I said as she raised her eyebrow and looked at me. "Lowering my weight. I had a heavy dinner yesterday" I said as she slowly nodded. I didn’t have a heavy dinner because my appetite was ruined by my mom but Millie was not there so she wouldn’t know the truth. "Besides I want to sleep early. Haven't slept properly" I said as I walked past her acting as if I don’t have a date with the gorgeous man over there. After I had my warm up shoot, we shifted our location to the beach. I loved the moments I had there. Sure, I was in the waters only posing for the photo shoot bit the feeling of the water hitting my feet was just pure bliss. It really helped me ease my stress. "Ok, I want you guys to walk from far as a couple talking and having a beautiful moment," the director said as we nod and started walking to the other end. "OK! START WALKING!" The Director screamed from the other end as we both held hands and started walking. I tried to ignore the sparks and the rising heart beat but I just couldn’t make me tense. "Just relax," he said as he squeezed my hand. I looked at him as his amber eyes stared at me. I suddenly felt myself going into ease. I felt warmth as he smiled and gave me a reassuring squeeze in my hand. "Everything alright?!" The director screamed again. "Everything ok!" I shouted back. "Alright then. Action" she shouted as both of us started to walk forward. "Act natural. Maybe talk and laugh" she shouted as I smiled more wide and looked as if I was having a lot of fun. I moved forward and he left one of my hands as I slashed the water with my feet. I laughed and as I kept splashing the water, pulling him with me. Honestly, I enjoyed this. Honestly, I wanted this to be real and not a photo shoot. Holding a lover's hand and enjoying the time on the beach is romantic and something I want to enjoy in life. "This might be the best moment in the whole of the photo shoot," he said as I blushed as looked at him. I stood looking up at his mesmerizing eyes. The waves splashed on our feet and his hand was still on mine. The wind blew making my dress flow beautifully. I moved closer and I found myself doing the same. He bends a little so he will be on the same level as mine. "Perfect!!! Cut!!" The Director screamed as my eyes widen. Both of us moved back in surprise before chuckling. Wow. My mind feels so clouded. "Let's have lunch now and then continue," Director said as we nodded in agreement. The time now was way past lunch and my stomach growled just in time. "Looks like someone's hungry" Chris laughed as I playfully glared at her. "I have booked a buffet at a restaurant. Come on people! Let's fill our tummies!!" The director said as we laughed and followed her. I walked through the salad section and stated taking my veggies. I looked longingly at the burger and fries before taking a small piece of steak and watermelon juice. I didn’t want to sit with others since I will most probably be eating awkward and silent so I choose a table that had the scene of the beach. I smiled and munched on the carrot as I watched a pair of siblings playing with a beach ball. "Hey" a familiar voice came as I looked up. "Hey, Chris," I said as he smiled wide. "Can I sit here?" he asked as I nod. "Sure," I said as I took a bit of the steak. He frowned as he looked at my plate. "Is that enough?" he asked as I looked at my plate and shrugged. "I have to maintain my body for my shoots," I said as if it wasn’t a big deal. 'And because my mom keeps telling I am getting fat' I wanted to say but I kept silent. I looked at his plate and it was filled with delicious food. He didn’t take many vegetables like mine but the meat section was packed with tasty goodies. Two burgers, fries, and other chicken dishes along with coke. "I think you look way beautiful and I don’t think putting a few more pounds will destroy that," he said as I paused and looked at him. He looked serious as he stared at me. "Thank you," I said to him with a genuine smile. Whenever I said I am dieting my co-workers never say otherwise except Millie. But she only shows concern and asks me not to overexert myself. It was the first time someone says I looked beautiful even if I gain some pounds. And hearing from him makes me feel even more confident and happy. "For real thank you. It really means a lot" I repeated as he smiled at me telling how sincere he is on that comment. See what I mean when I told I feel so happy when I am near him?
