Chapter 3

(Ashley POV) From his confidence, you and I were sure he would nail the photoshoot. But what happened was quite the contrary. First, it was the individual photo. The background was of a beach set. It's just a sample before moving to the original set. I was the first one to take photograph and it was very quick. I have been doing this for a long time, so it was easy for me. A few cute poses and a bright smile is all that was needed for summer beach. I was also given various props like a basket, beach ball, and all other kinds of stuff. The next was Chris and my oh my. A single photo took like a million takes. It's not because he is not fit to be a model or anything. He didn't know how to pose or style. The props were the most difficult. He messed up so many times and I even saw the look of regret on the director's face. Surprisingly Chris has an assistant named Abel. He had red hair (which I am sure he dyed it because it was so freaking bright red impossible to be natural) and bright green eyes. The man was very professional and he only spoke when needed. He was always with Chris whenever needed and strangely i would see him bowing in respect at times. Anyway, Abel came to the rescue and brought in a professional trainer helping him with the poses. The most surprising thing was how fast he learned the modeling. It was like in 10 minutes, he was a perfect model which is weird af. But he was so hot and super handsome. I could feel a strong aura coming from him. His eyes were the most attractive. Those gold eyes were intimidating and when his eyes meet mine (which, by the way, happens a hell lot of times) I always feel a shiver through my body. "Sophia, are you ready?" Millie called as my makeup artist was putting on the final touch. My costume was changed to a white knee length sundress. It was a beautiful flowing dress. It was paired with white sandals and a seashell necklace. As I made my way to the photo shoot I bumped into Chris. Well. What are the odds? "Wow," he said as I blushed and avoided his gaze. He was wearing a cream jean trouser and a white sleeveless shirt. He had a Fedora straw hat on his head and a sunglass hanging on his shirt. All in all. He looked hot. "You look beautiful," he said as I looked at him and smile. "Thank you. You looked handsome as well" I said as he smirked. "Thank you" "You did good by the way. Very fast learning" I said as I saw him give me a quick glance. "Umm thanks. I am a fast learner" he said as I scrunched my eyebrow. Something is fishy. Oddly I could feel as though he was lying. I could feel a lot of emotion from him. Like now I could feel how excited and happy he is. "Ready for the shoot?" the photographer asked as I nod and walk to the set. Chris was right behind me as he entered the set. The photo shoot was a bit awkward and hard but nevertheless smooth. His hands were warm as it held onto me. I could feel light sparks on my hand and my eyes widen in shock. I also notice how his iris narrowed but before I could confirm Abel made him put on the sunglasses. After the photo shoot, I put on my normal clothes and walked out of the building. I was going to enter the car when I heard someone calling my name. "Oh, hai Chris," I said as he smiled at me. "I was wondering if we could go for dinner? I mean since it is already late so..." he said making me smile. He was so cute when he blushes. "I would love to but I have a dinner meeting today with the agency director," I said as his eyes widen. "Meeting? But it is already 8 in the night" he said as I nod. "Yes. But it is already a schedule one. Work calls can't be avoided" I said as he frowned but nodded. "How about tomorrow since we will be staying at a resort?" he asked as I nod my head. "I can tell Millie to keep tomorrow night free," I said as he smiled and nodded. "Alright. Then I will see you tomorrow" he said as I smiled and waved a bye. Tomorrow we have a 2 day outdoor shooting at a resort. A pretty neat idea the director brought forth. I am so looking forward to it. I love to stay over shoots. It means a peaceful night with no ranting from my noisy parents. "Wait!" he called as I paused and looked back confused. "Can I have your number?" he asked as I nodded and took out my phone. He took it out and extended his phone. "You can add your number to mine," he said as I nodded. I waited for him to unlock his phone but all his face held was confusion. "Umm aren’t you going to unlock it?" I asked as he frowned. "Your phone password I mean," I said looking at him weirdly. "It has no password. You only have to press this button and swipe" he said as he showed how he unlocks the phone. I could help but laugh at how proud he was when he handed his unlocked phone. I quickly typed my number to his and gave it to save. "Thank you," he said as he closed and put it on the pocket. "Aren't you going to save it?" I asked confused as his eyes widen. "Oh yes." He said and took out the phone. Carefully he typed my name in it before smiling at me. "Done," he said as I laughed again. "That's great. I will see you tomorrow" I said as he nodded. He opened the door for me and I smiled and thank him again before entering. I made way to the prestigious hotel owned by the agency director itself. It was no surprise when I saw my mother there. I hate it when she comes. One of the reasons I ask Millie to not open up my schedule to my parents. They don't look at how overloading, or stressing the work assigned is. They look at the popularity and money. After a torturous dinner with the manager and my mother who was busy filling up my schedule and their stomach, we went straight home. The ride was also a t*****e as she couldn’t stop ranting about how I need to change my hairstyle because it was 'Out of fashion'. Reaching home I fell on my bed and opened my phone to see many message notifications. I frowned as I opened it. 'Hai it's me, Christopher' 'Hey, you there?' 'This is Sophia right?' 'Hello? Are you getting my message?' I laughed at the message replying back. 'Hey, Chris. This is Sophia! Sorry about the late reply. I just got home from the meeting' A minute later I immediately got a reply from him. 'Just reached home? It's a bit late.' he replied as I immediately replied back. 'Yes. But my mother was there, so it is not a problem.' I sent along with a happy sticker. 'How did you do that?' he immediately replied as I frowned. 'Did what?' I asked. 'That picture of a dog with hearts' he replied as I frown. He doesn't know how to send a sticker? I told him the steps one by one and when he successfully laid his hands it, I got a series of stickers making me laugh. As I texted him, I went to all the social media and searched his name. I frowned as I found no Christopher William. Even Google showed empty results. Does he not have social media? I should ask him tomorrow about this.  I don't know why but I feel so curious about him. I felt the need to know him better. Maybe because he is so mysterious and strange.  That whole night I was once again sleep deprived texting him but for the first time in so long, it was because I actually wanted to.
