“What?” I say turning back to the stove.
Tau grasps my arm and pulls me back to face him. I switch off the stove and give him my full attention.
“You didn’t do this again. Not after what happened on the way to Vic’s house,” he says shaking his head in disbelief.
“I didn’t do anything,” I say grasping his shoulders to make my point. “Yes, I knew she was helping Richard, and that you were going there. I didn’t tell either of you because you wouldn’t be yourselves when you saw each other. There would be a wall between you two like there was when we went to Vic’s house. I kept quiet and let nature take its cause. I didn’t do anything.” I let him go.
