I go home from the book launch feeling unsettled and unsure of what will happen between Luna, me and Tlou. I think I scared her with the way I gave into the need that churned within me for her.
Fuck…I couldn’t resist her. From the moment I walked into her place and standing so close to her in that kitchen talking about the dessert my brother had made sure to leave for me, my focus and resistance crumbled. All I could think about was having her, taking her into my arms and giving in.
God…I stretch my neck as I grasp the steering wheel, making sure the car moves in a straight line. I shake my head, bringing my focus back onto the road. The highway is empty at this hour, but its better being safe than sorry.
