I struggled for a long time before I fell unconscious, I found myself in a dark enclosed space, I looked around confused, “why am I here, What is this place?” I muttered, recalling that I met a strange man in my villa that attempted to hurt me. “Could I have died?” Another question came to my mind, suddenly I felt dizzy and fell into darkness.

However, I got up from the sofa a few moments later and saw a strange man gawking at me. At first, I was scared but soon I felt my heart leap for joy when he was next to me. “I’ve found love!” My heart exclaimed in excitement. After being betrayed by Andrew and Charlotte who finally found a man that moved my heart at one glance. “I’m not letting him go,” I thought to myself and beamed. While speaking to him I noticed he seemed quite distant and wasn’t ready to strike up a conversation if I didn’t come up with one. Shortly after chatting with him, I fell asleep on his thigh.

Ryan looked quite restless after I had gone to sleep, he placed me on the sofa and stood up. His gaze was on me as he bit his lips thinking of why I was acting weird. Abruptly he left through the back door and strode to Shadow who was sitting on the sand staring at the sea. They were involved in an argument that lasted for an hour and later walked into the house to check on me.

I turned to another side of the sofa and groaned slightly when I felt a sensation of n my cheek, slowly I opened my eyes and saw the new guy gazing at me, a surge of anger rises through my heart like we’ve got a feud before, but it got dissipated as the love I have in my heart for him is much more than expected. I threw myself at him ignoring the other company we have as I couldn’t see him. I berated him for letting me sleep alone which makes me scared. Being scared of the dark is the phobia I got in the nightmare I had where I was locked inside a dark place with no ventilation.

“You haven’t told me your name, it seems like you don’t want to get acquainted with me” I uttered casually while staring at him as he stood from the seat and was about to leave the dining hall.

“Ryan!” He mumbled with a raised brow and quickly walked upstairs.

“He is shy” I chuckled and moved to the kitchen to clean up the dishes.

Ryan got up to the room bewildered, “I can’t believe that my thoughts are happening but I don’t dare to embrace it, I’m just scared about the prophecy and Audrey getting hurt.” He thought to himself while pushing the door open.

“What’s this for, did you find out what all this is about?” He inquired impatiently, his mood has already been ruined by the demon clan's many rules.

“I’d suggest you speak softly, you caused all this Ryan, don’t lash out on me. I’m just trying to behave like the assistant I am.” Shadow retorted. He hissed, sat down on the bed, and let out a deep breath.

I was done with the kitchen and went up to my room, “where did he go?” I looked all over the room but I couldn’t find him.

“Damn you, Ryan! I can’t believe you sneaked out without notifying me, don’t think that I won’t find you” I groaned with a gloomy face. And strode past Ryan who had hidden his actual form and was now invisible to human eyes. He stood at the door watching as I unclad myself, murmuring a few offensive words before walking into the washroom.

I turned on the shower and stood under the faucet, “I Audrey Wellington has decided to go after you Ryan, I won’t let you escape from my grip. You’re mine!” I affirmed as the water ran down my body. Soon I was done with bathing, I wore a yellow bathrobe, dried my hair, and strode to my bed.

I fell into a deep slumber the moment I lay down on the bed, I had a dream where I was trying to crawl out of a black hole, “help! Help!” I screamed when I fell back into the black hole, but no one came, I curled up next to the wall with my legs on my feet, I placed my face on my knee and was about to burst into tears, however, I sprang up from the bed. “Omg, it’s a dream,” I mumbled gratefully, I had no idea what I would do if this became reality. I looked through the window realizing that it was dawn, I got off the bed and strode to the washroom to prepare for work, I’ll continue searching for Ryan when I’m off work. I hurriedly had my bath, got dressed, made my hair, put on matte red lipstick, grabbed my bag, and left the villa.

“Good morning Miss Audrey” Addison greeted with a smile, I nodded smiling back at her.

I made my way to the office and settled down, Addison came up moments later with my black coffee and placed it on the table.

“Why are you standing there?” I asked when I noticed her standing in front of my table.

“It’s about the i********: page for the Rey Grandeur” I froze, closed the file, and looked up at her face. I became afraid that things have gone bad and summoned the courage to take the bad news.

“Ma’am, you won’t believe this, Rey Grandeur just reached two million followers and we’ve got like ten million sales and a hundred million orders yet to be delivered” she let out with a face full of smiles. I widened my eyes, tongue-tied.
