“This is?” Shadow trailed off when he saw a lady that looks exactly like Audrey, atlas her name was Aubrey she was the sister of Audrey. “I didn’t know there were two Audrey” he asserted with shock visible on his face. I smacked his head and told him to behave, however, I couldn’t blame Shadow because things are different in the demon realm compared to humans, we’ve got no duplicates but we have siblings. Throughout their conversation, we sat on the other side of the living listening to and watching them speak and celebrate Audrey’s success. I had moved away from the centre couch as I didn’t want anyone to sit on me. That is the most annoying and disgusting thing that could happen to a demon, especially those with higher status.
“Ryan, I think something is odd here.” I turned away from Audrey and fixed my gaze on Shadow.
“Spit it out,” I asserted, glaring at him.
“We have Audrey’s duplicate here. Does it mean she’s going to move with her? That’s going to be a lot of trouble. We weren’t able to make one Audrey leave, how can we cope with two?” He inquired with a frightened look. My eyes darkened as I immediately processed what he had uttered. I hissed and called out to Ariel who arrived immediately, I gestured for her to go after the ladies chatting in the living room. She roamed around the two ladies and stopped, Ariel, barked continuously which got the attention of the sister Aubrey. She quivered and glanced around the house fidgeting. Audrey’s sister quickly sensed an entity and became scared. She attempted to warn Audrey just like I had calculated but she didn’t comply. Although I made her not hear Ariel barking I expected her to show signs of fear rather she chuckled and shoved the idea aside.
“I’m beginning to think that she is doing it on purpose” Shadow mumbled with a startled voice. I let out a deep sigh and concluded to scare her out of her wits since she is strong-hearted, she had to use a stronger way to get to her, I thought with a creased brow. She soon saw her sister out and came back famished. She lazily moved to the kitchen to get some food. I licked my lips and decided that this is the crucial time to scare her.
“What are you doing?” Shadow inquired with an arched brow. I ignored him and drastically used my power on him to form a void that was with no shape or colour, just darkness.
“Don’t do this Ryan, you’re only going to get her traumatized” Shadow asserted attempting to stop me. I hissed and sealed his mouth. I have already made up my mind to send her away. By all means, I can’t continue to punish myself. I walked into the kitchen in large strides and met an innocent feminine figure standing in front of the gas burner preparing dinner. I quickly appeared behind her back and clouded her with the darkness, she hissed and looked up to the ceiling, “what! Don’t tell me that the power is gone? I’m not going to sleep without light” she abruptly said. I froze in shock, I could also sense Shadow sneering. I locked my eyes, growled and dismissed the darkness. She beamed and turned back to the pot of spaghetti bolognese she was preparing.
“Finally, the light came. This villa has more good qualities than bad” she let out with a sigh.
“What made you think that?” I suddenly asked, I was tired of hiding in the dark and tolerating her long stay in my villa. She has stayed for months and I can’t harbour her for another minute else I would lose it. Although I didn’t show myself, I only allowed her to hear my voice.
“Ryan, you’re going extreme. This is going to cost you a lot if you don’t stop now. We can just share the villa with her. Besides, she doesn’t create scenes like the rest of the people who have stayed here” Shadow tried reasoning with me but my mind was already made up. Audrey halted and looked around the kitchen, “What! Am I hearing things or did someone just speak to me?” She was a bit confused.
“What made you think you’re hearing things? I’m tired of seeing your face every day. I think you should leave and never return here” I basically let out my mind. She shuddered and turned to see the person speaking to her but couldn’t find anyone. “Look! Whoever you’re I’m going to cut you into bits” she picked up a table knife and flung it around. However the knife stopped in front of me without her knowledge, I chuckled evilly and took the knife from her and raised it against her. She widened her eyes and staggered, “wha… What the heck are you? If this is some sort of game just stop it” she warned fidgeting.
“Hehehe, what do you think am I? I’m not here for tricks, just leave!” I asserted with a loud voice, roaming the kitchen knife on her face. She straightened as her face turned paper white, “bang!” A loud thud was heard, and Audrey suddenly lost consciousness out of fear. I hissed and hurriedly appeared in my real form and carried her to the living room.
“Well, this is the result of being impatient. I warned you, let’s hope she would regain herself soon” shadow muttered with his arms folded.
“Be quiet! Were you able to send her away? As my assistant, you could handle a single woman and you have the mind to reprimand me” I berated Shadow as my eyes slowly turned red out of anger.
“This is it! You always let your emotions cloud your mind, a man that allows his emotions to control him can’t be the king of demons. So, what if I’m your assistant, were you able to send her away till this day?” He retorted, feeling mad at me.
