“What the f**k! Are you kidding me?” I uttered, finding it hard to believe that Andrew who just got back from England could have an apartment here in Boston and even get a job. This is not true, I bet he must be pulling my legs. “Come on, Audrey, I’d never lie to you or pull your legs, I was gonna tell you when I’ve settled but it didn’t turn out well” he persisted in having acquired an apartment. I sprang up from the seat as my mind linked me up to the possibility that he may have been in Boston for a while without informing me. “You meant you’ve always been in Boston and I had no idea? This is ridiculous” I muttered while pacing the room. “Hey! Be calm. You don’t need to be so worked up about this. I’ve been thinking of starting a new life with you here in Boston since you informed me that you will be staying here after graduation and also I got a job proposal from school. To become a supervisor at the textile company at their branch in Boston, with that golden opportunity I’d thought it would be nice. We can always find a time to stay together because we’ve been apart for a long time. Now they gave me an apartment and I’m to resume work on Monday” he explained, but I couldn't take in all he’d said because I was bewildered as I wondered if this is a blessing from above. I was quiet for a while gazing at him in astonishment. “What! You don’t believe me? I just got back today to complete the formalities, I can show you my flight details” I embraced him suddenly, which made his words come to a stop, while he froze wondering whether to hug me back or not, he was utterly confused about what to do at the moment. Slowly his hands found their way to my back, patting it gently. “You’re so good to me Andrew, I can’t believe this is happening” I mumbled with excitement.

“You needn’t worry about these, remember I promised that I’d always stay by your side and support your dream” I pulled him out of my embrace while staring at him.

“But I still have to thank you because this is worth celebrating” he arched his upper lips while lost in trance, I’d know he is just thinking of how to celebrate our new start but luckily I had a nice plan that would be perfect for this occasion, I smirked and sat down on the couch.

“I know what you must be thinking and guess what? I have a good plan for this” I winked at him as he gazed at me with a startled face.

“Shush! Don’t speak, just follow me” I placed my fingertip on his lips before dragging him up to my room, “what’s this about Audrey, you’re being creepy” I chuckled and still insisted that he should be calm. I pushed open the door to my closet and rummaged through the newly purchased outfit that I got for summer. I took out the bikini and pants I bought for us and chuckled, this is going to be fun. I had nearly forgotten about you baby, I stepped out of the closet after getting what I wanted, “what is this about? You’re being creepier. We can just have a few drinks to celebrate” he muttered slowly as he stared at the new bikini and pants that were in my hands. “What the f**k! Is this the plan?”

“Yes, and you haven’t seen the big plan but that is a surprise” I mumbled and ushered him to sit on the bed, I covered his eyes with a scarf and took him to the terrace where the pool is located. “Surprise!” I pulled off the scarf and screamed in excitement. His jaw literally dropped as he gawked at the pool.

“What the f**k! This is paradise. How did you get this place?” I chuckled and threw the pants to him. “By chance, I was just lucky to have stumbled upon it” I asserted, he nodded and changed into the pants I gave to him, I stepped out of the terrace and strode the wine cabinet, and I picked up a bottle of vodka, two wine glasses.

Stepping back to the terrace, I saw Andrew already swimming in the pool, I smiled and placed the wine on the table. I changed into my bikini and joined him in the pool. We had a good time swimming, making out, and engaging in different pool games.

Atlas, we came out of the pool, dried our bodies with a towel, and sat down on a seat. I poured out the vodka in the wine glass, handed one to Andrew, and took one, “to our new lives” we said in unison, I was happy that we were taking a step in our love life which is the most important aspect of my life apart from becoming a brand owner I’d always dream of spending the rest of my life with Andrew and having the brightest kids for him and now our life is taking a new turn. I gulped down my drink after we clinked the wine glass. We finished a bottle of vodka which made us drunk. However, I was a bit conscious that I had to drag Andrew to the guest room downstairs as I couldn’t carry him up to my room because my body was weak because of the drink. I assisted Andrew to lay on the bed and slept off beside him.

“Beep!” My cell phone vibrated beneath me, I groaned and rolled to the other side of the bed. The phone continued to ring and I had to cover my head with a pillow. But it seems like the caller isn’t gonna stop till they call me to death. I yanked off the pillow and sat down on the bed gloomy as I wondered who was calling me this late, “ah!” I grimaced as the sunlight shone through the window, that was when I realized that it was dawn. I hissed, grabbed my cell phone, and connected the call.

“Hey, Audrey. Why ain’t you picking up? I thought you’ve ditched me” Charlotte's voice came from the other end, I covered my mouth alarmed as I recalled that their flight must have arrived for a while.
