The day went by too quickly and today is my birthday with Aubrey. I’ve gotten everything that I needed for the celebration. Charlotte assisted me to set the remaining things in the house, “thank you so much, Lottie, just go up and get ready I’ll check the terrace” I mumbled as that was the main place for the mini party. The drinks, the music, and everything were set, I breathed in relief and called Aubrey but there was no answer.

“What the f**k! Does it mean she is no longer coming?” I bit my lower as I thought to myself. I decided to get ready first and wait for her. I walked up the stairs while dialing Andrew's number, he is yet to arrive and I haven’t seen him for two days. I noticed that we’ve slowly been drifting apart, maybe it’s because we’re now working. I always thought to myself, “where are you, are you also busy in the office today?” I inquired in frustration after a long time of waiting for the call to be answered.

“I’m sorry babe, I was having my bath. I’ll be there shortly” he mumbled quickly. I hissed and ended the call, at least hearing him say that he will be here soothes my raging heart which was already doubting him. I shoved everything aside and went to my room to get ready. I'd have decided that nothing can ruin my birthday, I would try as much to be happy. “But, why is Aubrey not here yet? We were supposed to greet the guest together” I uttered as I unclad myself and stepped into the shower.

While I was in the washroom, one of Aubrey’s cars, a red Ferrari, stopped in front of the building. People were gasping with wide eyes, wondering who could own the dazzling red Ferrari? Aubrey who was inside the car feared being captured by the paparazzi or seen by fans cover her face with a nose mask, put on her sunglasses, and got out of the car, carrying the banana cake that she bought “You go ahead, I’ll call you when I’m done” she told the driver. He nodded and drove away, Aubrey sighed deeply and hurriedly strode to the elevator ignoring the scorching gaze of the small crowd that formed at the entrance of the building.

Soon, there was a bell sound all over the house. Although I wanted to get to the door, I was still dressing up. Charlotte had to move to the door and unlocked it, “Aubrey!” She said, dazed at the figure she saw.

“Charlotte, you’re still here. You haven’t gone back to your parents” Aubrey uttered with sarcasm as she stepped into the house, glancing around the whole house.

“I’m sorry if I had caused any inconvenience, it’s just that I’m still at odds with my parents and I’d have to stay longer” she explained, Aubrey scoffed as she halted, slowly she turned to Charlotte who looked pale biting her lips.

“And who told you that this place is a charity home? You should remove yourself from here asap” Aubrey arched closer and whispered to her ear. Charlotte flinched and remained mute, she has always been scared of Aubrey since high school, it’s either they got into a fight or she got bullied by Aubrey in school.

The stiff air sent chills down my spine as I stepped down the stairs, I looked over and saw Aubrey standing with Charlotte, “hey guys” I mumbled and walked toward them.

“You’re here Aubrey, I thought you wouldn’t make it” I asserted, she embraced me and patted my back, “come on, it’s our day. Nothing in the world would make me not come” she let out while caressing my back. I chuckled and tightened my grip on her.

“I’ve missed you so much, what have you been up to?” I inquired as I pulled away from her.

“Nothing too serious, just shooting, working on my endorsement, and the rest” I nodded with a face full of smiles.

“Wait, I have something for you,” she asserted and turned towards the table. She carried a white package and handed it to me, “it’s for you!” I beamed and collected it.

“Wow, you got my favorite banana cake. I love you the most Aubrey, you’re the best” I kissed her cheeks.

“That’s fine, don’t act like a kid” I just smiled and took her up to the terrace. I gave her the diamond necklace that I had gotten for her, she posted it on her i********: handle. I saw it when I was checking her page and decided to get it for her. However, it was not easy to get it as there was one of it and many people were oozing for it, but luckily I got it with the assistance of Myra who was familiar with the company.

“Omg, Audrey! How did you know? I have always wanted this piece but I couldn’t get it. It was created by a famous designer and I heard she just created one piece of it” she squirmed as she caressed the diamond necklace.

“I have my ways, are you touched?” I inquired with an arched brow. She giggled and hugged me. “Of course, I am very touched. I love it!”

“And who is acting like a kid now?” I smirked and used her words against her. She slammed my shoulder and was about to talk back when we heard a footstep.

“Andrew, you’re finally here” I asserted and walked to him. I clutched his arm, “you came late!” I whispered to him with a fake smile while I moved toward Aubrey.

“I was caught in traffic,” he responded.

“Aubrey, you know Andrew, my boyfriend, the one I talked to you about?” She creased her brow and checked him out, “yes, he is Andrew?”

“Yes, Andrew, meet my sister Aubrey,” I quickly introduced them.
