Days began to move into weeks as Katie and I build back up our trust as friends. When she first said she wanted to break things off, I was ready to fight tooth and nail with her, but then I remembered everything that her mom and I had discussed about all of this being difficult on her. While Katie was away at Becca’s, my dad and I had dinner at their house a couple of times, and I was able to discuss with Laura the best ways to help Katie.
