Joshua had a hard time understanding everything when Eli initially told him at the laundromat. But the short drive from ViMi to the apartment when he asked more questions, and then reviewing Eli’s folio including the drawings and pictures as well his Micha’s and Eli’s love notes to each other, allowed him to take it all in. When he was almost ready to accept what Eli told him, Joshua had a request. “Prove it.”
Grudgingly, Eli took him to the alley behind their apartment, behind a row of bars and had Joshua throw things at him. Displaying his speed impressed Joshua but when Eli moved stones, trash, and debris just by raising his hands, Joshua couldn’t close his mouth from surprise. The final proof involved Eli bending steel re-bar with his hands.
