Chapter 12Modern Day
Eli sat uncomfortably in the small chair. The new arena built for the Orlando Magic had comfortable chairs but the seats used for graduation were not those. Still, he had to smile. In the past few days, Joshua had participated in most of the senior activities and was ready to embark in a new direction. Eli had given his notice as a security guard, packed, and otherwise confirmed that everything was ready for his departure from Orlando all of this while he ferried Joshua to several school outings. The transport duties forced Eli to see Kathy and Sully a few more times.
He liked Kathy.
He still didn’t trust Brandon, or Sully as Joshua called him, but he was willing to give Brandon the benefit of a doubt.
