The line continues to trill as all three of them listen carefully. Aurelio is still standing in the doorway of the room, his gaze fixated on the two women currently on the floor in front of him. Celestia is lying on her chest, her back slightly arched upwards in a painful position as a result of Amethyst having her arm around her throat and pulling her upwards, still having a gun pointed at her head. Amethyst is still breathing, her gaze focused on Aurelio as they all wait for the person he’s calling to answer. “Make a sound and I’ll shoot…” Amethyst tells Celestia, her grip around her throat tightening to let her know it’s her she’s talking to. Celestia groans quietly in pain before she begins nodding her head in understanding, not wanting to make the mistake of underestimating Amethyst and her rage. Aurelio and Celestia anxiously wait for the person they’re calling to answer… And thankfully for them, don’t have to wait long, and after a few seconds, someone finally answers the phone. “Yo Aurelio… thought you’d be having fun with blondie by now… what you callin’ me for?” A man answers on the other line, chuckling to himself and as soon as Amethyst hears his comment, her heart sinks sharply, the pain of what Aurelio has done to her intensifying and making her immediately want to pull the trigger. But she knows she has to contain herself. Aurelio clenches his jaw as his friend passes such a comment in front of Amethyst, but he knows he has to play it off cool, otherwise he might end up with a bullet in his head… “Hey man, I just wanted to ask if everything’s in order. Where you at…?” Aurelio is surprisingly able to remain calm as he speaks to the man on the line, keeping his eyes on Amethyst the entire time. Amethyst has to admit, she’s impressed with how cool and collected is right now despite the situation. But she shouldn’t be surprised, especially when Aurelio has been lying to her this entire time. “Same place man, where else am I gonna go…” The man says and that’s when Amethyst notices Aurelio clench his jaw nervously, and that lets her know exactly what she needs to do. The location she overhead is accurate. “The boys behaving themselves?” Aurelio then asks, his voice slightly strained and that’s when Amethyst adjusts her grip on the gun, letting her know that he needs to try a little harder to be convincing. “Yeah, although the older one wouldn’t shut up… he’s got too much fight in him. I didn’t sign up for this s**t man…” The man on the line then complains and that’s when Aurelio forces a laugh out, glancing at the phone and shaking his head. “Don’t hurt them alright, Boss will kill us if we do…” Aurelio jokes but even he knows there’s truth to his statement… “You ain’t gotta tell me twice…” The man laughs. “Hey, is that all you called for? I got some Serrello’s waiting for me and I’m starvin’…” He then rushes out and that’s when Aurelio chuckles again, looking back at Amethyst just as his smile begins to falter. “Alright you enjoy your food man, I’ll stop by later…” Aurelio then says and that’s when the man on the other side says his goodbyes and the call finally cuts. “Get a bag, and put all your phones… now.” Amethyst then orders and Aurelio sighs softly before he walks to the desk and collects all of the phones and a bag hanging over the chair. He then puts all the phones inside the back and that’s when Amethyst roughly lets go of Celestia, making her gasp quietly and wince as Celestia lets her drop to the ground with a rough thud. Amethyst then stands to her feet and points the gun towards Aurelio, reaching for the bag he is currently holding out to her and taking it from him abruptly. Once she does that, she cautiously backs out of the room all while keeping her eyes on them. But before she is out completely, Aurelio decides to say one more thing to him. “Amethyst I’m sorry…-” Aurelio tries to say but she is hearing none of it. That’s when she throws the back over her shoulder and swiftly walks to the door, pulling out the key in the doorframe and pulling the door shut. She then locks them inside before they have the chance to react, running through the hallways once she’s sure the door is locked. She hears Aurelio calling out for her through the door but she doesn’t stop. She runs into the living and makes her way to the kitchen where Aurelio would keep his keys, grabbing Celestia’s Ferrari key instead and running out of the house in a panic. Her eyes lock onto Celestia’s white Ferrari and she runs to the driver’s side door all while unlocking it, watching as the butterfly door rises up beside it. Amethyst then slides into the driver’s seat and looks around quickly before she reaches up to close the door. She knows they will definitely be able to track her, so her best hope is to get as close as she can to the Delassaro Manor before ditching the car. Amethyst then looks around at the interior of the car and she has to admit… “Huh… the b***h has taste,” Amethyst says to herself just as she starts up the engine, making it rev to life. She reverses out of the driver and accelerates onto the main road, the car engine roaring as she zooms along the tarmac. She then places the gun back into her pocket and with one hand on the steering she reaches for her phone and decides to call the only other person she can think of right now. Emeliana… She just hopes she will able to get the information to her in time, before it’s too late… She puts her phone on the loudspeaker as she dials Emeliana’s number, focusing on the road ahead as she figures out how quickly she can get to the Delassaro manor. Meanwhile, at the Delassaro Manor… Emeliana is standing in her office on her own, staring through the window that has a perfect few of the beautiful back lawn and lush flowers and greenery. She feels herself slightly at peace, for only a moment, and she is glad she is able to get away from everyone, even for just a few seconds… Except for one person… She feels him stand behind her, his presence silent yet comforting and stands when she turns and faces him, finding him looking through a file in his hand and that’s when she walks over to him and takes the file out of his hands, making him look down at her curiously. “Emeliana?” He then asks her and in a matter of seconds, she is sighing to herself and carefully wrapping her arms around his torso, laying her head on his chest and shutting her eyes. “Hey…” He then says to her as he carefully embraces her, burying his face into her neck as his arms wrap around her protectively. “Sorry…” She then mumbles, her voice shy and quiet and Luca has to admit, he hasn’t heard her voice be this soft in a while. “I just needed this…” She says to him and Luca’s heart softens as he hugs her even tighter, welcoming her warm as they remain in each other’s embrace. “I haven’t been myself for a long time now…” Emeliana mumbles against his chest and that’s when Luca sighs before he pulls away from her neck and instead rests his chin on the top of her head and exhales deeply. “You’ve changed. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. You’re stronger now… more powerful…” She feels and hears his deep voice rumble in his chest and throat, making her pull away from him slightly and place her face against his neck for a second, eventually pulling away again to instead look up at him. “More deadly…” Emeliana tells him and Luca looks down at her with a serious expression. “Only when necessary…” He answers her, and like clockwork, they hear Emeliana’s phone begin to ring on her desk. That’s when Emeliana glances up at Luca curiously before she makes her way over to the phone to pick it up. She stares at it curiously before her face then goes blank and she turns back to Luca with a serious face. “Now might be the time for that…” Emeliana then says, making her way back to Luca and showing him the caller ID…
