The Mafia’s Endgame

| 8 | Ferocity.

Amethyst stands still with a gun in her hand, keeping it pointed right and Aurelio and Celestia, being mindful of every movement they make. They may underestimate her, but Amethyst knows herself. If they do not comply, then she will drop them where they stand.

"Why would you want to know that...?" Aurelio even has the time to ask such a question, but unfortunately, Amethyst does not.

"I SAID TELL ME!“ She suddenly yells at them and Celestia jumps slightly, not expecting Amethyst’s outburst. Aurelio closes his eyes momentarily before he keeps his hands raised, slowly opening his eyes to look back at Amethyst, just as he lets out a deep exhale.

"Whoa whoa, okay...“ He tells her calmly and Amethyst huffs through her nostrils, glancing back once at Celestia to make sure she is not doing anything suspicious.

“I overheard you talking to someone about where they are being kept… are they still there?” Amethyst questions him and based on his silence, she knows that there’s a chance it might be true. The Delassaro boys might still be there.

“Amethyst, you don’t want to do this please…” Aurelio tries to reason with her and in a split second, Amethyst points her gun at the ceiling and fires without warning, not even flinching as the gun rings in her hand. Both Aurelio and Celestia are startled by the gunshot, Celestia gasping softly as she looks back at Amethyst with shock. But did she really think she would be able to torment Amethyst and get away with it?

“I’m not f*****g around. Tell me if they’re still there.” Amethyst questions boldly and Aurelio can see that there’s no point in trying to change her mind. Nothing he says will get through to her, so she might as well do as she says…

“Yes… that’s where they’re being kept for now… but even if you tried to go there yourself, it is heavily guarded and-…” Aurelio tries to say and that’s when Amethyst points the gun back at Aurelio and takes a few steps closer to him, but still maintains a safe distance from him in case he tries to snatch the gun away from her.

“Get me your phones. All of them…” She orders him and Aurelio is hesitant once again, but he makes his decision quicker than he did the last ones…

“Celestia…” Aurelio lets out and without any second to waste, Celestia quickly walks back into the bedroom, leaving Aurelio and Amethyst to stand alone with each other.

“Amethyst… I’m sorry for hurting you like this…” Aurelio tries to say to her and the softness of his voice gets to her momentarily, her breath hitches slightly as her eyebrows crease, more tears welling in her eyes as her bottom lip quivers and trembles.

“Stop talking…” Amethyst says under her breath and Aurelio tries to take a step towards her but she motions the gun towards, him, warning him to stay right where he stands.

“Nothing I can say can excuse what I’ve done, but please don’t turn on Bonavelli. Rejoining the Delassaros, is a death sentence… you don’t know what he’s going to do to them…” Aurelio tells him and Amethyst can’t tell if he is saying all of this just to try and scare Amethyst, or if there is some truth to what he is saying. All she knows is over the last few weeks, she hasn’t been in the right state of mind to make any proper decisions. But since she got shot and has had to lay off the drugs so she can properly recover.

“Not another word…” Amethyst then warns Aurelio before her attention shifts to something else,e the spot that Celestia was standing in before Aurelio sent her to go retrieve the phones. She would’ve been back by now…

“Why is she taking so long…” Amethyst then asks before she begins to take a few steps forward, walking around Aurelio and keeping a safe distance from him before she cautiously walks into the hallway, glancing back at Aurelio a few times before she focuses on where she is going, being on extremely high alert, in case Amethyst is trying to pull a fast one on her.

She then walks to Aurelio’s bedroom where she’d find the door closed. Amethyst then makes a split-second decision and shoves open the door, finding Celestia standing in the middle of the room with her phone in hand, jumping slightly once she sees Amethyst.

“What are you doing?” Amethyst questions and in a matter of seconds, before Amethyst has the chance to react, she watches Celestia charge before her. Amethyst fires her gun and misses just as Celestia reaches her and grabs hold of both her arms, pulling her arms up over her head and slamming them against the floor, causing the gun to fall out of her hand and onto the ground. Celestia and Amethyst then begin struggling with each other as they both leap for the gun, Amethyst lying on the floor just as Celestia lays on her back, her weight preventing Amethyst from going anywhere just as Amethyst fights to get her off.

“You’re crazy if you think it was going to be that easy…” Celestia says as she wraps her arm around Amethyst’s through, making Amethyst wheeze out as she struggles to reach for the gun, all while trying to breathe through her restricted airflow.

“And you’re even crazier if you think I didn’t see this coming!” Amethyst yells out loud before she headbutts Celestia roughly, causing Celestia to scream out loud in pain, her grip on Amethyst tightening giving her a slight advantage. Amethyst pulls herself forward and finally reaches for the gun just as the door opens and Aurelio walks into the room

“Stop it, stop both of you!” Aurelio shouts and is about to intervene but Amethyst rolls Celestia over so that Amethyst now has the advantage over Celestia. Amethyst has one knee on the ground and the other bent as she wraps her arm around Celestia’s throat while she keeps the gun in her hand and points right to Celestia's head. There is a bloodlust in her eyes as she looks back at Aurelio breathing heavily as Celestia struggles against Amethyst’s hold, panting heavily as she feels her injuries sting.

“Stay the f**k back!” Amethyst shouts at Aurelio, her grip on the gun tightening as adrenaline courses through her veins.

“Now I won’t say it a second time. Get me all your phones… now.” Amethyst tells them and they are both surprised that someone with little to no experience was able to outsmart and overpower them.

Aurelio then glances at Celestia, seeing nothing but fear in her eyes and that’s when he realises he has no choice but to do as Amethyst has said. he then walks around the room and begins collecting all the phones he can find, placing them on the desk for Amethyst to see.

“Now call the person you were speaking about and ask about the Delassaro boys. Confirm how they are and if they are still there… any slip-up and I’ll kill her then I’ll kill you.” Amethyst orders him and Aurelio definitely underestimated Amethyst’s ferocity… if only he hadn’t messed up, then she would’ve been a powerful asset to the Bonavelli family…

“Okay… Okay, just relax Amethyst…” He tells her before he picks up one of the phones and shows her, and thankfully for him, it’s the same phone she saw him with earlier on. Aurelio dials the number and shows the phone screen to Amethyst, all of them listening anxiously as the line trills softly until finally… someone answers…
