1141 Words
Lillian’s POV The instant I heard Mom's voice behind the door, I pushed Micheal instantly and that made him land hard on the floor “Baby, have you found a room yet?” my mom's voice sounded from the door. “What going on here?” She asked, her gaze fixed on Micheal, who sat still on the cold marbled floor. “Oh my Gosh, baby, are you okay?” My mom asked Micheal, rushing to his side and helping him on his feet. “I'm fine,” Micheal replied, wearing a fake smile on his face as he looked at my mom. “Why would you do something like this? Is this how much you detest this place?” Mom suddenly turned to me with angry eyes, her tone laced with anger and disappointment “What!” I exclaimed, staring back at her in confusion. “What did I do?” I asked. “Don't pretend like you don't know what you did. I saw you” she said and my heart raced against my chest in fear Did she see me and Micheal almost kissing? Did she catch us? What is she talking about? These thoughts ran through my head as I started at my mother confused and scared “I don't know what you're talking about,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “You pushed him, Lillian. You pushed your father just because he wanted to talk to you” she said, her tone slightly raised. “No, I didn't,” I said instantly, a frown appearing on my face as realization dawned on me that my mom had been yelling at me ever since I stepped foot in this house “You didn't? Are you seriously lying to my face, Lillian? Then how do you explain the reason why Micheal was on the floor?” my mom asked, and I fell mute. I didn't know what to say to defend myself and my lack of words made her conclude that I pushed Micheal and she was wrong. “Mom you need to calm down and listen to_” I couldn't complete my words because she instantly interrupted me “No, Lillian. You are the one that needs to calm down. You've been rude and behaving like a spoiled brat since you arrived here. You showed your dislike to your father and your brother” “They're not my family, Mom. Micheal is not my father, and Derrick is not my brother,” I yelled, obviously exhausted by how she was trying to create a new family for me. She shouldn't have gotten married now especially when I was yet to recover from the shocking news of my father's death a year ago. “Okay, ladies, I think that's enough” Micheal instantly stood between us, looking at us interchangeably. “I think you two need to calm down,” he said. With tears gathering in my eyes, I just walked past them and left the room “Come back here young lady” my mom called out instantly but ignored her “Hey let her be. She needs time to adjust,” I heard Michael's voice before I finally couldn't hear them anymore. Walking down the stairs and wiping the tear that fell from my left eye, I bumped into someone I wasn't ready to see. “Who would have thought that my ex would eventually turn out to be my sister” Derrick said, “F**k off ass***e” I cursed and tried walking out on him but he instantly held my hand tightly, making me pause in my tracks “We could still have some fun even if we are step-siblings” He whispered in my ears, a smirk plastered in his face and his entire presence made my stomach churn. I raised my hand in the air and landed it on his cheeks instantly How dare he suggest such a disgusting act. After betraying me and sleeping with my best friend, he still has the good to say such despicable things to me. “You're a disgusting creature” I uttered, staring at him in the eyes and making sure he heard every word. I dragged my hand off his grip and walked out of the living room, going outside of the house. Taking out my phone from my pocket, I decided to call any of my friends to hear from them but shivers instantly ran down my spine when I heard Michael's voice behind me. “Are you still angry at your mom?” He asked and I slowly turned around to look at him. I looked at him, admiring his face, and slowly moved my eyes to his neck, then to his chest, then to his arms. His biceps threatened to burst out of his blue t-shirt as he placed both hands on each side of the pocket of his pants. Seeing those arms reminded me of how he held me in position on the bed that night and f***ed me till I begged to sleep. He did fu*k Derick out of my mind that night, and he was very good at doing that. “Stop looking at me like that,” Micheal said, his words jolting me back to reality as I looked at him and then averted my gaze. “Looking at you in what way?” I asked, pretending to be unknowing about what he was talking about. “Like you want to eat me,” he said, and my cheeks instantly heated. I averted my gaze instantly because I knew that my flushed cheeks had already formed a deep shade of pink. “Or is that what you want? Do you want to eat me?” He asked and my lips parted slightly, letting out a shy and nervous laugh “Is that why you're here?” I asked, changing the topic instantly and trying to get his mind off what he was saying some seconds ago. “Don't be angry at your mom. She only wants the best for you. I think you two need a lot of catching up to do” The blush on my cheeks instantly disappeared at the mention of my mom. I was pissed at her and I didn't like the fact that she was getting married so soon. She started dating Micheal just six months after my dad passed away and I always wonder if she just couldn't keep her pu**y to herself. “ She has just been unreasonable and inattentive to my feelings. She doesn't want to listen to me and just feels like I don't like you and Derick” “Do you like Derick?” Micheal asked “Of course not,” I said instantly. “Then what about me? Do you like me?”
