I wake up at 8:53 and jump out of bed quickly. That Rachel girl has a meeting with me at nine!
Maybe she'll be late and I'll seem early?
Planting a kiss on Stormie's head, I dress quickly and rush out the door.
It takes three minutes to get to my office and when I do, I'm glad to see my potential new pack
member isn't here yet.
Sitting at the desk, I put away everything Stormie and I used last night when we were in a rush.
I don't want to seem like a slob.
Right before I finish, an addictive smell hits my nose and I tense.
That's not Stormie.
This smells like... Some kind of satisfying cleaning chemical mixed with the smell of the sea. It's
strange for sure, but not bad like you'd think.
That's when a confused girl with a wavy brown Bob walks in without knocking and our eyes
lock.
Rachel?
"Mate," she practically purrs.
Before I can even register anything or ask a question, the woman uses her warewolf speed to
rush towards me and crash her lips on to mine.
All thoughts rush out of my mind as the electrifying tingles shoot through wherever our bodies
make contact. Unconsciously, I begin to compare her. Stormie's a much better kisser and our
connection is stronger, but Rachel is certainly better than Melanie was. Stormie! God Stormie!
Even though I'm thinking of her, I can't find myself to pull away from Rachel. I want to, but a
connection has my lips moving against hers for quite a while. I don't know how long it takes, but
eventually I hear the slam of my office door and jump away guilt ridden.
I can't believe I did that. Looking over, I see a fuming R with clenched fists.
"You i***t," he growls.
"You f*****g asshole!"
My eyes widen and relief flows through me when I see it isn't Stormie, but this is bad too.
R walks towards me threateningly and pokes his finger against my chest degradingly.
"How could you do this to her?! You don't deserve Stormie!"
That's as far as he gets before my fist crunches into his face.
"I am your alpha! You will respect me! Stormie isn't to hear a single word about this incident, do
you hear!? It won't happen again. Leave Rachel," I command harshly. I refuse to turn and look at
her because I'm not even sure what came over me.
Stormie is my life. I love her more than anything.
A whimper sounds from behind me, and it's hard to ignore the words that come out of this
woman's mouth.
"Leave? Bu-but... You can't tell me to leave! We're each other's second chance mates!"
