Suddenly a loud horn honking behind me made me jerk away, and my body jolted from being startled, waking Em up as I realized the light had turned green.
Emery looked around in confusion, her cheeks growing red as she brushed her hair out of her face, realizing she had fallen asleep and was using me as her pillow.
I mentally kicked myself for accidentally waking her up, already feeling emptier inside from the absence of her touch.
"Sorry.." she muttered, looking out of the window once more as she sat up straighter.
I glanced over, watching as she checked her phone, our chat flashing on the screen, and the feeling of guilt hit me. f**k, I haven't messaged her since our call..she probably thinks Ronan is mad or something. I will have to make it up to her..
