DAISY The coffeeshop grew quieter and less rowdy as the customers started leaving. I heaved in relief, stretching my tired body and aching legs.It's been a hell of a long day. Yes, this was the coffeeshop Suzy promised to put in good words for me, and yes, I got the job! I'm so elated. I mean, after I almost bursted a coffeemaker and spilled more drinks than one on the floor, they still hired me. But I wasn't allowed behind the counter. I was never gonna be a barista. All I'm allowed to do is take orders from the customers, and that was more than enough for me.
