24 Hours to Coronation
Everyone was preparing for the coronation and tensions were high as it was a very important event, omegas were getting the large room ready for the King and Queen, while the balcony that would be overlooking the massive crowd in attendance to see the public marking of the King and Queen was being prepared. There were flowers all over the Palace and you could feel the excitement around the townspeople in the Kingdom. All the alphas across the land were starting to arrive at the palace, some happy and others not and it showed. The kings from other kingdoms sent gifts to show their support as they were not in attendance it was a private affair for only the Lycans and wolves, some Shifters were allowed to attend and proxies from the Vampire Kingdom will be in attendance for the ceremony. However, the King was determined to have his queen by his side with no interruptions, and security around the borders and inside the palace was on high alert. He sends a special message to his future queen that he will always be at her side once the ceremony is over. The Elders were ready to be in more power and could not wait, those that were in on the coup were all wearing a special band around their hand, including some warriors and guards that the elders hired.

I was lying on the bed looking at the ceiling, wondering what I had done to cause all this pain. I rejected my mate instead of talking to my best friend, I let my ego get the best of me. I the Royal Delta of the Royal Blood Moon Pack and the Dartmouth Kingdom was a coward. I didn’t know how to apologize and begged for her forgiveness, but my wolf, Tank, had missed her and just wanted her. As long as she didn’t accept our rejection, there was hope, but that all changed yesterday. I felt this horrible pain while training with the warriors, I was confused while holding my chest and it took me to my knees. I asked my wolf what was happening because he whimpered in my head, the pain was more than I could imagine it was excruciating, I started to scream in pain, and I gasped, "What was happening to me?" Then it hit me like a ton of bricks, my mate was being marked by another and she marked him, I felt the bond severed, and I felt empty, did I mess up so bad that she marked another? I was in so much pain that I passed out, I woke up in my room hours later with Drax sitting at my bedside worried.
He asked me, "What happened?" I told him, "I am not ready to talk about it," before he left because no one knew I had a mate and it was Addy. I heard a knock on the door that took me out of my thoughts, I was so lost but it was Addy. I smelled her but her scent was a mixture of a mated wolf and my wolf blocked me, he was furious at me for not fighting for our mate. I said, "Come in" and she walked in with a glass in her hand, I was angry and she sensed it. She looked sad but I didn't care or wanted to hear her excuses for what she did, clearly, she accepted our rejection but it was also my fault for rejecting her in the first place. “I know you have questions and right now I have no answers, I just wanted to say I’m sorry Ty,” she said. I looked at her and saw the mark on her neck, it was unique with a wolf howling at the blood moon with Erik's initials and a special line for the elder's mark. I was shocked, “Erik, you chose Erik, wow,” was all I could say, I hated him because I never liked the way he treated the omegas as if they were dirt on his shoe and they were rumors of countless rapes but no one came forward or there was no proof.
Tears fell from her eyes and she bowed her head and said, "Drink this, it will make you feel better and heal the soreness of the broken bond in your heart." I wanted to yell at her, but I couldn’t because, deep down, I still loved her, I wanted her, Addy was all I thought about, and wanted to fix what I broke, now it's too late, she belonged to another, so I drank the elixir so I couldn’t feel her anymore. She had a knife and said, "Give me your hand," and I asked, "Why?" She said, "Just trust me, okay, everything will be fine," and, for some reason, I did thrust her and offered my hand. She cut my hand and I bled into the cup she gave me to drink from and she said once again, "You will be fine." Before she left, she turned back to me and said, “Ty, remember that I do love you and I’m sorry it came to this, but remember you can always trust me even if it’s years from now," and I watched her leave. I was confused but I just let it be and relaxed a little more until it was time for the Coronation.

Addy
After I left my ex-mate's room, I was devastated but I couldn’t fail, now I had to finish this or I would lose him forever. I went to Drax’s office, and he was there with his mate, Lora, he saw the tears and he said, "Are you okay, Addy?" I said, "I’m just overwhelmed." Lora was the first to see my mark and offered congratulations and then so did Drax, Lora smiled and said, "I can see this is official business," and kissed Drax before leaving. Drax said, "I didn’t know you and Erik were a thing, but congrats again, I’m sure Aidan is pleased." I smiled and said, "I brought you an elixir that will make sure you guys will be all ready for tonight," and he smiled, "Sure," and drank it without question. I stated that I needed his blood to bless the ritual as they would be there as well.
Drax gave me his blood and I was on my way to Aidan, Aidan will be furious as no permission was given for his lady in waiting to be mated but he has a good soul and will release me anyway. However, I have to pretend to do this for Roman or he will get suspicious if the others mention it, Roman didn’t hesitate as he was preparing to be King. Aidan didn’t question it either, because he trusted me and he was also surprised that I had mated with Erik, as I predicted he was furious. He gave his blessing and wrote his decree to release me from his Ladies in Waiting and I will be known as Lady Addison wife and mate of Lord Erik Belmont.
