I was about to use my powers on him but because of the magical rings, all the betrayers of the crown have, my magic is useless against them, a failsafe in case I double-cross them, "What do you want, Erik?"
"I want you, Addy, this will ensure you are not killed during the blood moon. They are planning to kill you after the ritual, so no one knows where the King will be buried." I was shocked but I expected it, and that’s why my plan must not fail, "So what are you offering?" "Let me mate and mark you, you haven’t found your mate yet. I can and will protect you." I thought about it for a few minutes as this might save my life but to give up on my mate. My wolf, Ella said, "Take the deal our mate will understand once we save his life, we can live to fight back, even if it takes years." “Have you and your wolf decided?" I looked at Eric and said, "I will do it if you save my family as well." "Considered it done, my love," I knew I would regret this when my mate found out but I hope he understands. I looked at Erik with tears in my eyes, he was mind-linking someone and then he looked at me with a smirk undressing, and said, "I’m marking you now so undress." I closed my eyes, said sorry to my mate, and undressed before lying on the bed.
