18 Asher carried him him without breaking a sweat and within an hour we were at Doc's front door. For the first time the windows were dark. Asher kicked his foot against the door, but there wasn't the familiar clop of footsteps on the other side. In fact, there wasn't any noise from inside. Asher sighed. "Always have to be quick about it, don't you, Doc?" he muttered. "He went to Lady Margaret's house already?" I guessed. Asher nodded. "No doubt. We'll have to take him home."
