Chapter 4: Friends are family

When I had finally moved around enough to get a full view of everyone out there, I was in shock. Not only was it my dad and my twin but also my alpha and a man I didn't recognize. He had power coming off of him and it wasn't the good kind of power. It matched the way he looked with his shaggy unkempt black hair and his piercing and cold grey eyes. He was over muscled almost like he was on steroids and his body was covered in tattoos. The ones I got a full view of were very gory or whoresh. He looked at the members of my pack like he almost looked down on them which was very worrisome.

“When I said that giving me one of your unmated females was a request of mine to be allies I didn't think you'd offer me the joke of the pack.” The other alpha growled throwing what looked like a picture to the side. “Is that what you really think of this partnership? Maybe you should be added to my list of enemies.”

“She's strong, a decent cook, and does what she's told.” My dad sounded worried but probably only about being an enemy. Our pack wasn’t the strongest.

“Also a virgin. I made damn sure no one wanted to touch her.” my twin smirked. “Several offered to pay me for the chance but I knew a day like today was in her shift future. I can't wait to tell her that she's going to be going with you and not leave this pack willingly.” I couldn't help but ask myself were they talking about me.

“A virgin you say?” The alpha smirked and nodded his head. “If I decide to agree to this when can I take her? My pack has been wanting me to have a new mate and them a new Luna even if it is just to have her dress up and be shown around. It's not like i'd actually give her any luna responsibilities.”

“She turns 18 in seven days and I have things planned for her birthday. So anytime after that. My alpha said holding his hand out. “We have a deal?”

“Yeah but if she isn't all you are promising then I get scared another female from your pack. I get to pick that female and you have to agree for me to pick any one I want no restrictions.” My alpha thought on it and ended up shaking his hand. “What was her name again?” Alpha Sebastian asked still shaking my alpha's hand.

My twin decided to answer period “it's my sister Finley. This is going to be perfect revenge for getting my mother killed. Make sure you show her how a real man likes it in bed. No princess treatment.”

What the f**k? I felt my heart stopped and their movements slow down. My father was selling me like some w***e or piece of land he owned. The alpha was OK with this treatment. I knew he hated me but to sell one of his PAC members is going to make him look like a horrible alpha. I had to get out of here. I had to get out of here before my birthday.

They made small conversation after that but I didn't hear a word. My mind was busy and full so it was like static everywhere. I told myself I would leave after they left but I was still there an hour later. It wasn't until my stomach growled that I even realized where I was and how long I had been there.

Running to her house the words I heard were on rerun in my head. This Alpha didn’t want me until her heard I was a virgin and would act like his slave? Is this how everyone saw me? Should I have fought back more as I grew up to show I had a backbone?

I made it to Cora’s just as the pizza arrived. They both looked so worried and when they saw me walk in they started in with so many questions. I collapsed on the couch and just held my hand up. They got the memo and made sure I had everything I could need. I had a huge glass of water, a plate of pizza, and Lia had gotten the first aid kit. She started cleaning these cuts that I had on my arms but I didn't even know they were there.

“How did you get all these little cuts? You're lucky none of them were deep enough to need stitches.” Lia scolded me as she dabbed a little too hard on one of them making me wince. “You have them on your legs and arms. It's like you went running through the forest and made sure to run through all the Rose bushes and all the other sharp plants that were there. Absolutely ridiculous. Plus you have holes in your shirt. Did you fight a tiger?”

“I'm sorry? I don't know what happened. I got away from Tish and Tanner but when I was getting ready to leave I heard voices. I overheard my dad and the alpha giving me away.” The memories slammed into me as I heard the voice of my father in my head telling someone I was submissive and would do everything for them like I was this weak-brained individual. “My twin was there and he… He… He told them that he had made sure I was a virgin. He made sure no one wanted to touch me or basically look at me so that I wouldn't be tainted because he knew a moment like that would happen.” Tears were streaming down my face at that moment and I could see how scared my friends were for me.

“How about you start from the very beginning so that we completely understand everything and then we can make a plan together to keep you safe and away from whoever or whatever is the problem period no one is selling my friend and no one is giving her away to somebody else.”

I gulped down my water and took a bite of my pizza before starting. I told them everything. I told them what was said, how everyone looked and the expressions on their face, and I told them how I felt when each part was spoke. By the end of it my friends were pisssed.

When I had went into detail about what that alpha had looked like both of them gasped. “Did they say what his name was or what pack he was from?” Lia asked pulling my hands into hers.

Alarm bells were going off in my head but it wasn't from my friends. “No, they didn't really say any details like that but I might have missed it when I was moving around ot see them better.”

“Sweetie it sounds like that is alpha Draven from the blood bath pack. There are so many stories about his mate dying from his hand and how all the females that have been chosen for him to be a second chance mate end up dying as soon as they get to the pack.” Lia said her voice filled with worry and rage.

“His pack is known for killing before asking questions in any situation. They only leave a few alive and even then, those people are never the same again.” Cora explained.

I felt a freak out coming on but I wasn't going to waste my time in a safe spot on something like that. I shook my head and held my hands up. “We are not going to talk about that anymore tonight. We are going to focus on this pizza party and on the movies you guys picked out and just having fun. I'm going to sleep so good tonight and tomorrow I will worry about what I need to do.”

“One last question. You're probably going to leave before your 18th birthday aren't you?” Cora asked tears running down our face.

I nodded not wanting to give anything away. If I did leave early and anyone found out before I was ready for them to, they would come straight here to question my friends and it wouldn't be pretty. I couldn't have that on my conscience that they were going to get hurt for protecting me.

“Then I have something for you. My grandmother put it back for you right before she died. She mentioned something about it saving your life one day.”
