Chapter 6: Taurus Versus Cancer

To be honest, I couldn’t do much against him. All that I could do was to block every one of its attacks, although not all of them I managed to deflect it. It’s because he’s way too fast, so it’s hard for me to counter him. 

But of course, each of the hits I received doesn’t give me a lot of pain. Which I found a bit weird… but again, all that’s happening right now is weird. 

A phone that could transform into a weapon… that’s certainly beyond any logic at all. 

I shouldn’t be thinking about this right now. I need to focus on this fight and how I could land a hit on him. If not, surely I would be defeated and get killed by this person if this goes on. 

The police officer then stops for a moment, “Here I think that I will be able to kill you easily, but it wouldn’t be interesting if you’re just going to do that… so how about you try to fight back a little bit?” The police officer said as he was about to strike me again. 

Strike him? How could I do that, I couldn’t even see him coming as each of his lunges goes straight forward in a very fast-

I stopped as I finally figured out something, a way to counter his move. To think that I was this late to discover it. Still, it’s good that I realized it now as I could finally give him some damage. 

Seeing that he’s about to lunge towards me, I lift my sword and just swing it right when he’s started to disappear in my eyesight. The moment I did that, the officer never reached me and with that, I knew my method works. 

“Nice try kid, to think that you took quite a lot of time to figure it out…” He said that. 

The officer seems to be standing fine, it seems like he managed to avoid my attack just now. Certainly, he’s quite fast but as long as I knew his tricks, my chances of surviving have increased. 

I am aware that I’m quite late figuring it out… since all of his attacks were straightforward, meaning every time he lunged towards me. It always will be in a straight line just like a crab would. 

I should realize it, as he has already shown me that he’s wielding the power of Cancer. 

“Even if it took me a few minutes, your trick wouldn’t work on me anymore as I already learned your attack movement,” I said. 

“Did I tell you that you’re naive… let me say that again, you’re a naive guy. You think I would have one move up my sleeve if you thought that… You’re a dumb guy as well.” The officer said.

I don’t know whether he just provoked me into attacking him or what but what he said might be true. He certainly knows more than me, if he doesn’t show me how to materialize a weapon… for sure I wouldn’t know about it. 

So I’m kinda grateful to meet him first rather than the other participants. Surely they wouldn’t give me a chance at all and would just kill me on the spot. 

“So let’s see then, what your other move is!” I said. 

This time, I decided to go offensive because even if he had more moves than me. I didn't need to be scared as my body is tough right now, I barely feel any pain from his previous attack. Plus I couldn’t stay defensive all the time because that wouldn’t do anything… 

I lift my two-handed sword as I charge towards the officer. But I realized that my movement isn’t as fast as I thought it would be… It’s not that slow but it’s not like the movement of the officer but I know that it must be because of this sword. There’s another reason why I’m this slow at the moment. 

When I was within range, I swung my sword but the officer simply evaded my attack easily. It’s like he doesn’t need much effort at all. 

Seeing how slow I am, the officer simply laughs at me. 

“Way too slow, this wouldn’t be as exciting as I thought it would be.” There’s an evil grin on this face at the moment. 

My instinct tells me that this is not going to be good, he’s up to something. With that, I backed off from him for a bit… Also, I keep my guard up. 

His blades begin to emit a light, an orange light that glows a lot brighter every second. 

“If you’re still not going all out in this battle, you would surely die by me…” The officer said that he slowly walked towards me. 

Again, why is he telling me this? If he holds a grudge against me and intends to kill me, just kill me already and be done with it. What’s the point of telling me that… 

“That’s nice of you to tell me that,” I said that towards the officer. 

“I’m nice, that’s why I tell you that before you disappeared from this world like-” 

The officer didn’t finish what he was saying as he completely disappeared in front of me. All that I could hear now was the officer's laughter that was in every place. 

He’s going to kill me, is this how it’s ended? If that’s the case, I think I have put up a good fight despite there is not much I can do. 

Knowing that my fate has decided that it’s my time to die… I use whatever strength that I have left and start to act recklessly. Trying to swing my two-handed swords in every direction that I could hope this attempt of mine would somehow injure the officer 

“Pity that you wouldn’t fight me for real… this is where your life ends!” 

Suddenly I feel the pain in my chest after hearing those words. I looked down and saw something horrifying… The blades that the officer used pierced my chest, and I coughed up blood almost immediately.

The officer pushed his blades even further, I began to feel a lot of pain as I screamed in agony. I dropped my sword down because of that and my chance to retaliate is no more. Even though I tried to punch him, I could feel that my strength was declining and that I couldn’t do anything at this point. 

“I could stop if you want, just tell me the word and I will do it.” The officer said that as he kept pushing the blades further. 

I can’t even say the word stop, all because of the pain that I’m experiencing at the moment. 

I gradually feel like my eyes are getting heavy, and have started to lose my consciousness as well. Realizing that I’m going to die soon, all I could do was simply smile as at least I wouldn’t need to continue this event anymore. 

Although I have my regrets, I have to accept this fate. 

“This is the end for you! Sleep well…” The officer said that delivering the final strike. 

Because there was nothing I could do, I simply closed my eyes…

All is dark. I begin to question whether this is the realm of the dead. I want to move but I feel like all my limbs are unable to do that. Try to speak but can’t as well. It seems like there’s nothing I could do besides to watch. 

That’s until I see a bright light approaching me. Seeing it, I thought it was an angel or something like that but no… It wasn’t.

It was a big Taurus monster, “You have failed, now your soul will be one with the Celestials.” After the monster finished saying that it opened its mouth and was about to eat me…

. 

I suddenly felt like my face was being watered by someone. I immediately open my eyes and to my surprise that there’s a man that is pouring down a bucket of water on me. 

It’s a man with a beard, wearing a spectacle… The clothes that he wears look quite worn out already. Plus he looks older than me. Who the heck is this old man?

But my attention was shifted into something else… That was whether I am still alive or not, because if recalled correctly. The man has already killed me with his blades. With that, I quickly took a glance around me and realized that this is still an abandoned factory. 

“You finally awake… I thought your soul had already been eaten by the Celestials.” The mysterious man said that. 

Hearing the word ‘Celestial’ from a middle-aged man suddenly makes me cautious, because the only people that know the word are the participants of the Celestial Game. “Are you here to kill me!” I said that. 

“Is that the way you say to the one that saved your life… you should be grateful to me young man.” He said. 

“Save my life? What do you mean by that…” I said.
