Chapter 18

Jessie took out the rope that was in her bag. Brian helped pull the rope and tied one end of the rope to a tree. Their hearts beat fast. The panic grew when the sound of approaching footsteps was heard.

"Hurry up, Brian!"

Jessie had finished tying the other end to the tree opposite. They immediately hid not far from there.

Someone ran quickly carrying a sword. Brian and Jessie peered through the bushes.

'Brack!'

He fell due to a trap set by the two teenagers. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, they immediately came out of hiding. Brian hit his head so hard that he fell unconscious. Either just passed out or was dead.

There was satisfaction in the hearts of the two teenagers. Jessie took off the robe the man was wearing. Find a necklace with a cylindrical tube pendant. He took it and opened the lid. Jessie took out a piece of paper from the tube.

"What's that?"

Jessie stood up and spread out the paper in her hand.

"A map. But why only a piece?"

Brian stared at Jessie intensely.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Then this is our goal!"

"I don't understand what you're saying."

"How do you don't get it? This guy brought the map pieces and we have to put them together to find a way out."

"So you mean we have to kill them? It's crazy!"

Brian looked at the man in front of him who was still unconscious, "I don't think we should kill him."

Jessie looked at Brian and knew what the boy meant. She put the map in the bag. But just as they were about to leave, a hand grabbed Jessie's leg. Made the girl fall.

"Aaaah!"

Turns out the man just fainted. Brian immediately took back the wooden stick he had thrown, while Jessie was still trying to fight it. He hit the man hard on the forehead. Making him fall backward with blood dripping and died instantly.

Jessie looked shocked to see what happened in front of her. But on the other side, she did not blame what Brian had done. Brian grabbed Jessie's hand and asked her to leave the place.

To the north of the forest, Alexandro sat on a tree warily. A man in a black hood was right below him. Chloe who was hiding not far from there was holding one end of the rope. Waiting for Alex's signal to let her go.

Alex watched the movements of the man below him. He had deliberately lured the man there. When the man was in the right position, Alex issued a sign using his hand. Chloe let go of the end of the rope and suddenly a large rock slid freely onto the man. Made him die instantly because of the blood loss that came out of his head.

Chloe came out of hiding, as did Alex who came down from the tree. The boy in black immediately approached the corpse of the black-hooded man. While Chloe vomited all the contents of her stomach from seeing her corpse. The girl was not at all used to sadistic things.

Unlike Alexandro. During this time he helped his uncle work at the meat stall and pork slaughter. After school, the boy would go straight to his uncle's butcher shop. Even with minimal wages and his uncle's harsh and cruel attitude, Alex tries to survive. Everything he did to stay alive with Sheryl. So that he is no longer a stranger to blood and sadistic things. He turned the man's body over. He opened his cloak and found a necklace with a cylinder pendant. Alex cut it off and took out the contents in the tube.

Alex approached Chole who felt weak from vomiting. The girl saw the paper that was brought by Alex.

"A map?"

"I think this is a clue to getting out of this place."

"But this is only a piece."

"You are right."

Alex was silent for a moment realizing that what Chloe said was true.

"I have an idea."

"What is it?"

"We have to kill another black-robed man!"

"What?!"
