Chapter 19

Kim hid behind a tree. Staring at the slowly moving bushes. She took an arrow from behind her back and put it on the bow. Position it precisely in the direction of the bushes.

'Shhh!'

An arrow flew freely at the creature hiding in the bushes. Daniel smiled, he stood up and walked towards the creature.

Holding the rabbit's ears up high and smiling at Kim. The girl smiled back. Tonight they will have a small party.

"I think this will be enough for the both of us to have dinner," said Kim

"We'd better find some more edible mushrooms or plants."

"Did you eat that much?"

"Not me, but you." Daniel looked at Kim's body, "I'm afraid you won't be full with just one rabbit. Especially if you have to share it with me. Aww!"

Kim hit Daniel. They continued their journey through the forest. Occasionally stop when you find mushrooms or forest plants.

Daniel is a clever child in the field of biology. He told Kim that mushrooms or plants can be eaten by humans if they are also eaten by animals. If the fungus or plant is clean, then it is better not to consume it for fear of poisoning the body.

Kim's life was not much different. The girl lives in a Chinese dormitory and is raised by monks who are also karate coaches. They adopted Kim when she was five years old. Kim helped pick the leaves and shoots of some of the wild plants that Daniel pointed out. Put it in the bag along with the mushrooms that they get.

"I think this is a good place to rest," Kim said, looking at the large tree in front of her.

Making Daniel also look at the tree, "You will sleep on the tree? Are you kidding me?"

Kim looked at Daniel, "Of course, I don't want to be eaten by wild animals."

Daniel hesitated, but he had no other choice. Of course, he also didn't want to sleep on the ground alone and be eaten by wild animals. Although he wasn't sure whether there was a wild animal in the forest or not.

Before the night was getting late, the two teenagers immediately gathered dry firewood and made a bonfire. Luckily they were not far from the river. Makes it easier for Daniel to clean the rabbits they hunt, meanwhile Kim washed the mushrooms and leaves.

Daniel took a branch and cut the sharp end at the end. Put it in the rabbit's mouth until it comes out. Stick two Y-shaped twigs in the fire and start roasting them.

Kim looked at the rabbit Daniel was twirling around on the fire. Not because she was hungry, but because her mind was drifting. Thought that if she had parents, of course, they would worry and look for her.
