Kendra Human Mate

After school: Part one

KENDRA POV

After school Kendra was walking along the hallway alone when she felt someone join her. She and her friends didn't have the same last class and so didn't finish at the same time and hers ran a little bit late, cause the teacher had a lot to talk about. She got a text from them saying they were waiting for her outside.

She smiled as she recognized the person by his masculine nice cologne.

Hi, Hayden, she said with a huge smile on her face looking up at him.

" Hi, pretty, " Hayden replied with a gorgeous smile on his face which made his already stunning looks more attractive.

Kendra's heart skipped in her chest as her eyes beheld the smile on his face. She quickly looked ahead when she realized she was staring at the guy with a morose smile on her face, her cheeks feeling hot.

" You look hot with that rosy tint on your cheeks, " Hayden teased Kendra seeing the redness on both cheeks. It was an ego boost that someone as gorgeous as the girl walking beside him was crushing on him.

He wanted the girl like yesterday and would date her mate or no mate, but Kendra was insistent on waiting for her mate. Is going to crush him when the night of her mating ceremony comes and he is not the one chosen by the moon goddess for her.

Kendra blushed harder at his compliments. " Stop, " she cried trying to hide her face.

" Why? " Hayden asked with a chuckle messing with the girl.

Kendra looked up to glare at him.

" Alright, I will stop, " Hayden cried with laughter at Kendra's bad look in his direction. It was so easy to tease his good friend.

As they passed people in the hallway they could hear whispering among themselves about Kendra's action earlier this morning and also at the cafeteria. Everyone was speculating why she saved the human. Their words reminded Hayden of his curiosity.

" Why her? " He asked turning to look down at Kendra who he was sure heard what their fellow students were talking about.

Kendra turned to look at him, a cute frown of confusion frozen on her face.

Hayden smiled at the cute wrinkle on her perfect brow. " I am talking about the human. Why did you interfere? You have never been interested in the affairs of humans. "

Oh, Kendra thought. People have been talking about the incident in the hallway and cafeteria, in fact, that is all the whole school could talk about. Their fascination with the topic beats Kendra's mind. She wasn't aware that Hayden will also be interested in that.

Kendra shrugged her shoulders, she didn't have an answer for him. She too didn't know why she felt the need to save or claim the human, it had been a gut instinct and she went with it.

" You know that Jackson is not going to let it go, " Hayden said talking about the White Creek resident bad boy. Everyone knows that Jackson never let anyone humiliate him or cross him and getaway.

" I am not f*****g scared of Jackson, " Kendra asserted in a fearless tone.

Hayden smiled.

" Is cute when you curse, like a nun cursing. "

Kendra paused to glare at the boy. " Are making fun of my lack of s****l experience, " she drawled in an affronted tone.

" Yep, I am, " Hayden teased with a wink, and quickly sidestepped before Kendra's hand could land on his shoulder while chuckling at the same time.

Kendra was not the type to give up easily so she went after him trying to get in her hit. Hayden laughed as he hurried away from Kendra, heading for the door. When they got outside they stopped when they noticed their friends watching them along with some of their schoolmates.

Hayden held Kendra back when she would have walked on. He looked down at her with a serious look on his face. " About Jackson, I know that you are not scared of him and that you could hold your own against him, but I want you to still be careful. You know he always plays dirty. "

Kendra wasn't bothered about Jackson but she could see that Hayden was by the worried lines on his forehead so she decided to placate him. " I will, " she promised.

Her words must have reassured the guy because he smiled brilliantly at her before they continued to join their friends who were giving them amusing knowing looks.

ADIRA POV

Adira had just finished putting her books back in her locker and had turned to leave for home when she heard melodious laughter in the hallway. It was Kendra and she wasn't alone she and Hayden were playing some kind of game and she was pursuing him.

Adira heart leaped off her chest when she saw her gorgeous savior before squeezing in pain as some bitter feeling filled her inside as she watched the over-friendly interaction between her and Hayden.

Were they together she wondered in her mind as she headed for the door. The thought of Kendra belonging to somebody else didn't seat well with her. She wondered why Kendra didn't introduce him as her boyfriend at the cafeteria.

She was so lost in her thought that she didn't realize the person coming at her from the opposite direction till she ran into him.

" Watch it! " the boy growled in annoyance and continued on his way.

Adira whispered a soft apology and continued on her way.

JACKSON POV

Adira wasn't the only one who had her attention on Hayden and Kendra, Jackson icy furious grey eyes also trailed after the duo as they made their way laughing with each other to the door.

His fist clenched tight by his side as he saw the joy and adoration in Kendra's face while she spoke to Hayden.

It pisses him off that Kendra treats the guy as if he walks on water while he is treated as if he is nothing but dirt. But he wasn't and he is going to prove to her when the right time comes.

He licked his lips as he imagined f*****g the gorgeous brunette after her mate hunt. He was certain that the moon goddess will grant him his wishes.

CIARA POV

Ciara glared when she turned away from her locker and noticed her boyfriend eye-f*****g Kendra and scoffed angrily in her mind. They were both standing by her locker while she got her things from inside.

She watched with a stony look on her face as he ogled the girl till she was out of sight. She could help the feeling of jealousy that grew inside her, squeezing at her intestines. What did Jackson even see in the wolf girl? she wondered furiously in her mind.

To Ciara she wasn't even that beautiful and she couldn't understand why Hayden and Jackson the two hottest boys in school are so interested in her, she is so basic and the only thing interesting about her is that she is a werewolf.

Ciara wondered if Jackson will look at her the same way he looks at Kendra if she was to be one of them. There was nothing Ciara wouldn't give to be one of them. The prestige and respect she will command in the school.

She snapped out of her thought when she realized that Jackson was about to leave without speaking to her, probably furious at seeing Kendra with Hayden.

" Wait up baby, " she cried going after him. " Are you still coming to my place later? " she purred, tracing her long fingernail along his cheeks while giving him a sexy look that all but revealed what will be waiting for him if he comes around.

JACKSON POV

A coy smirk curved Jackson's lips as he read the invitation in his girlfriend's eyes. He pulled her to his tight body and kissed her hard rubbing her skinny frame along with his hardness.

" Of course baby, I will be there, " he muttered in a s*x-filled drawl into her ear. His thoughts wiped off Kendra for the moment as he thought about the afternoon f**k he was going to get.

" Hey, Jackson ready to go? " One of his friends, Dylan a five-eight ft tall chocolate-skinned guy with melting honey eyes said, interrupting his make out with his girl.

Jackson pulled away from Ciara and looked in Dylan's direction to see the rest of his crew standing there. Aiden, Dylan, Mark, and Tyson.

The last two were fraternal twins with blonde cranky hair that Mark wore with the back shaved off and the front full and falling off the side of his face while his brother had his own in long waves with the side braid.

They both had identical pale green eyes and stood the same height at five ft twelve. They had the same tattoos as the rest of the crew but Tyson's was milder compared to the rest and he had a cross earring dangling off his right ear with no other piercing.

Aiden has his gaze cast to the floor not looking at him directly.

Jackson was still pissed at him for speaking to him the way he did at lunch and he knew that.

" Are we good to go? " Jackson asked. They had something planned this afternoon.

At the affirmative nod from Dylan, he gave Ciara one more hot kiss, " see you later hot cheeks, " he said with a smack to her ass before making his way out with his friends behind him.

ADIRA POV.

When Adira made her way to the outside she noticed Kendra with her friends and the other guys standing off on one corner talking and laughing among themselves with Hayden standing like a tall protective shadow beside her.

Adira focused on the look on his face while he gazed down on Kendra. It was full of adoration. How was she going to compete with that?

The sudden direction her thoughts jarred her so bad that she quickly looked away from Kendra and her cliques.

Why the f**k am I thinking like this she moaned in her mind, her heart racing in fear.

She was scared of what Kendra was making her feel and she couldn't understand why. She was a girl for christ's sake why am I feeling like this.

" Hey, need a ride? " A familiar voice asked her.

She snapped out of her thoughts to see Kendra speaking to her from the inside of her car with her side window wined down.

KENDRA POV

After talking for a while with her friends and Kane's brothers she decided to leave for home. As she reversed out of the parking lot she caught sight of Adira leaning against the big tree in front of their school building, her gaze down while she shuffled with her foot on the ground.

She pulled up beside her and wine down her side window. " Need a ride? " She asked leaning forward in her direction.

She must have startled the girl because she had a deer caught in a headlight look briefly before turning to look at her with a red face.

" No, my mum is picking me up, " Adira responded with a shy smile.

" Why not call her and tell her not to bother while I give you a lift home, " Kendra insisted.

Adira began shaking her head. " I don't want to bother you, " she whispered pulling back.

" Well is not a bother if I am the one offering, " Kendra insisted with a kind smile on her face.

Adira blushed hard before her next words left her lips. " I don't have a phone. "

Kendra froze.

What teenager in this century does not have a phone, she wondered in her mind but didn't want her silence to come off judge so she immediately responded.

" Do you have her number of hand? "

Adira nodded and called it out, as Kendra typed in her latest I phone model phone.

When the phone began to ring she stretched it out to Adira and listened as she communicated with her mother.

When the girl was done she opened her car door for her to enter.

" What did she say? " She asked taking back her phone.

" That I should make sure that you are not an ax murderer, " Adira teased with a soft smile.

Kendra opened her mouth to retort back but it froze on her lips when a close look at the blonde beside her revealed how gorgeous she was, and the pretty smile on her face was brilliant, like a sunny day, innocent and bright.

Her heart skipped in her chest and she quickly looked away.

" Oh, you got jokes, didn't know you had it in you, " she quipped in a slightly shaky tone as she kick-started her car and drove them off the parking lot.
