Why did life seem so unfair to me? I continually asked myself when father told me the guests would arrive in days’ time.
He told me it was for me own good but was it really?
I was getting married not for love. Was I ever going to have children that I would love.?
"You will learn to love him" the voice of my father was still in my head.

Standing here trying to find out if the man I was getting married had someone in his heart. Looking in his eyes I could tell that he had his beloved in his heart, how lucky the lady was.
The rules from me are simple
1. we won't be sharing the same bed
2. we will never be intimate
I said making sure he understood every word I said
"Do you not think I will need an heir?" He asked me looking shocked with the two rules I had just given him.
"That will not be possible, am never giving my body to someone who only considers me an asset" I said
I had never been with a man before I didn't want to lose my virginity to someone who was worthy.
" You are going to be my queen it's only right that you give me an heir" he answered back,
I could tell that he was not happy at all.
" Well prince Aiden, that won't be happening with me, if you are worried that you won't be considered a true king, I can simply tell them that I can never bore any children” I said as if reading his thoughts.
Before I could say anymore, I saw one of his knights came in the balcony and whispered something in his ears, He so nodded his head and the man left.
"Apologises Katherine, I have an urgent matter that I have to attend to, thank you for the tea" he said and bowed down
He hastily left the room without looking back, whatever it was must be serious.

I Sipped on my cup of tea and called for Ella to come in.
“My apologises, Your Highness but the Lady-in-waiting Ella is not here” One of the royal guards said after coming in.
“Where did she go” I answered him, it was unlike Ella to go somewhere without telling, the guard was just there standing with his head lowered down.
“Thank you, Victor you may leave now” I told him,
“Please send word for her to meet in me in my bed chambers” I asked Victor,
I immediately went to my bed chambers, I needed to have a dress fitting in the afternoon and Later dine with the king and the guests I needed to rest.
Aiden’s POV
When I realised that Ella worked here in the palace, I asked Neil to find out everything about her.
I was having tea with Princess Katherine when Conor one of my Knights came and informed me that he had important matters to discuss with me,
I got to the room where they arranged that meeting with Neil, Billy who was my advisor and a few of my loyal men I could see worry written all over their faces.
“What is so urgent that you looked so worried” I asked not so concerned about what ever it was they were worried about.
“Word has just come from Ireland that the Royal council has moved up the meeting to the end of next week” Neil said,
I looked at everyone and I knew what this meeting would cause if it was to happen,
“How many are expected to be in attendance” I asked, hoping that it would not be everyone who was not on my side.
“17 Out of 25 My Lord” Billy answered,
“If I may, I believe it is best we move up your marriage ceremony to Princess Katherine, this will allow to return to the kingdom just before the have the meeting and by then we would have the king send in reinforcement to help bring back order the people will once again believe in your leadership” Billy added on
I understood very well what I was getting into, but was I ready to let go of everything. I looked around everyone waiting for my final answer,
I had asked Neil to find any evidence that could get me to have the king help me without having to marry his daughter, I looked at Neil hoping he would say yes but he only shook his head.
I knew there was no other way for me to restore my but marry Princess Katherine.
