"Andrea please… Be quiet," he walked up to me as he took hold of my hand. "Not here and not now, please I'm begging you, else we will be killed, just hold the baby in," he whispered. There was a hammer by the corner so he broke the window as he helped me out and then followed suit.
"Roy, I can't do this, I can't hold the baby In," I said, sweat pouring down my face while he dragged me along.
"Just be strong Andrea. I am a doctor and I assure you that you will be fine, all we have to do is get you out of here first," he said. There was a car a few meters away from the camp and on getting to the car he broke the glass as he opened the back door and helped me inside. He was still trying to start the car when a noise erupted from the camp.
"Andrea is gone! Find her and bring her to me!" I recognised that it was Sebastian's voice.
"Roy, I think you have to move now," I said.
"I'm trying," he replied and once more the pain struck me. I groaned taking up a linen as I stuffed it into my mouth to prevent myself from yelling too loud. The rioting sound from the camp got louder and louder until the entire place went on an uproar.
"Please…" I cried silently, pushing with every strength in my body, sweat dripping down my skin along with tears. I was still struggling to catch a breath when the car engine finally started and Roy hit the brakes.
"She is leaving the camp, catch them! nobody lets her leave!" Sebastian's voice erupts once more, but I was so drowned in pain that I lost touch with the environment. The only thing I knew was that I was in a moving vehicle and some group of angry werewolves were on my trail. I could hear them howling and grumbling but I couldn't tell how far they were because of the pain I was feeling.
'My life is in your hands Roy, please do not fail me,' I thought, still pushing with tears running down my eyes, my sweat was as thick as blood, my lungs were almost void of air. I grew tasty, the pain getting more severe as I grabbed my skirt firmly and then cried out once more.
"Andrea, I beg you please just hold on a little longer,'' I heard Roy yelling but my mind was far from his plea. My head banged heavily and I screamed once more, this time my voice was so loud, resounding under the night sky. All around me were the howls of chaos, the feeling of pain and the backing of savage beasts. It was the perfect Description of the windows of hell being turned loose.
The pain struck again and this time I yelled pushing so hard until I had no more strength and just then I heard the cry of a baby. "My child," I whispered, his crying Still echoing in my ears. I reached out to hold him but then I blanked out.
I didn’t know what happened next but the next time I felt alive, I heard someone calling my name. "Andrea, Andrea, wake up," it began with whisperings and then sound words as I opened my eyes to see the rays of sunlight gleaming down on me.
"Andrea," I heard my name again and I steadied my eyes on Roy who was beside me. He looked frightened but all I could think of was the cries I heard last night.
"My baby," I whispered. "Where is my baby?" I held on to his hand and he helped me up.
"You have nothing to worry about, Your baby is fine and healthy," Roy said but the piercing sadness in his eyes was telling me otherwise.
"Roy, where is my baby? If he is fine then why can't I see him?" I asked. I looked around the beach, there was nothing, no sound of a baby crying, all that was present was the car we used to escape last night.
"Andrea, I am sorry, but your baby is gone," He announced.
"What do you mean by that?" I said as I fastened my eyes on him. "I heard him cry so what are you saying?"
"He didn't survive, Andrea, he died the moment he was born," he had not completed his statement when I held him by the arm. "Andrea, please just let it go."
"What nonsense are you saying! Don't you dare lie to me, If my child is dead then where is his corps? I want to see it," I asked, staring into his eyes as he looked away. "Roy, where is my baby!" I exclaimed and tears clouded in his eyes.
"They took him, he is gone, Andrea. Another pack attacked us on the way, they stopped Sebastian but took your baby and fled with him," He explained, my heart ached, as broke down in tears.
"My baby," I sobbed. I have not looked him in the eye to see what he looks like, I have not given him a name, who in the world Will nurse him? Tears escaped my eyes once more.
"I wanted to go after them but I just turned eighteen years old, and I have not yet shifted. How could I have matched their strength?"
I let him go as I wrapped my arm around my knees. Why is this happening to me? I thought, the pain was so much and I felt like I was going insane. First I was banished from my pack and just a few months back I learned that I have a husband who is now trying to get rid of my baby who I had no idea who his father is. As if that is not enough punishment, my baby has been taken away from me even without seeing him for the first time.
No one was meant to suffer like this, especially not me. What have I done wrong? I thought to myself still sobbing as Roy wrapped his arm around me, leaning his chin on my shoulders.
"I'm so sorry Andrea, I am so sorry," he whispered soberly and I cried out once more. My heart ached badly but no matter how much I weep, it will not bring back my memories nor will it bring back my child.
"I'm going to find those bustards, and I will bring back my child," I said, and my eyes flared up in anger. I pulled away from Roy and I stood up on my feet. "Remaining here won't bring back my baby, and neither will it bring back my memories."
"Andrea, there is nothing you can do now."
"No," I yelled at him. "I am sure that everything I am going through was planned by someone, I will find out who these people are, and they will pay for ruining my life like this."
"Andrea, you just gave birth, you have to rest," Roy tried to convince me but again I refused.
"I am sure this must be the handwork of Harvey and New moon pack, if they want to punish me, then they should have done it but left my child out of it," I was still speaking when Roy held my hand.
"Andrea, please reconsider,"
"No Roy!" I pulled my hands away. "If you try to talk me out of it, then I will consider you my enemy too, so it's either you are with me or against me."
"Of course, I am always with you Andrea. I promise that we will find your baby but you cannot do it in this shape. Your child will need you and you have to be strong for him, so please, just rest a while," he said with sympathy in his eyes. I looked at him for a while and then broke out in tears again as he embraced me.
"Shh… We will find your baby and we will bring him home, I promise."
The morning air grew cold since winter was fast approaching so we located a hotel beside the shoes of the Island. Roy paid for a room for the both of us as he also bought some food and hot coffee.
While dining I looked around at the people who were also eating and drinking with their dates. "Who are the people?" I asked.
"Humans," Roy replied. "Back then, this was your favourite place, you said that It reminds you of your father," he smiled. "We will always come here against my brother's wish, because this is the last place he will come looking for us." he explained and I frowned, clinging on to my fork.
"I want to know about my previous life," I said and he looked at me.
"Are you sure, I thought you said you wanted to make new memories?"
"Three months ago, there was no reason for me to know but now, I think I am ready, so tell me everything that happened between us and what kind of man Sebastian was."
