'I am married,' I thought to myself while sitting on a bench outside with Roy and other werewolves. It was evening and we were all gathered around the fire which was lit in the center of the camp. They were all jesting and laughing but my eyes seemed to wander off to the man who claims to be my husband.
It feels strange that I can't remember anything except from what occurred three days ago. Three days ago was the date I recalled moving into this Island, and the New moon pack was the pack I remember my father directing me to. I didn't know anything about having a husband or having a life here. All that I have with me is this pain in my chest, these flashes in my head that I cannot explain and all it did was make me wonder who I am.
"So you are saying that you don't remember anything about us?" Roy asked and I shook my head in agreement.
I looked down at the little necklace in my hand. "All I feel is pain and memories that I never had until last night when you ran me over," I replied, hesitating for a while before looking him in the eyes. "This child in my womb, do you think it belongs to Sebastian?"
"I'm not sure, but you cannot tell him you are pregnant, at least not until you remember who the father is."
"Why not?" I asked and he leaned closer.
"I know my brother, he is kind but he has a hot temper, and if he finds out that the child is not his own then he will get rid of it."
"So what should I do, I can't hide it from him forever," I asked and he heaved a sigh, his eyes filled with concern.
"There are only two ways to solve this, it's either you escape with the child or you sleep with him. The sooner you make a choice the better it will be for you. But no matter the decision you make, I will always be here to support you." We were still speaking when Sebastian walked into the middle with a bottle of drink in his hand, he was a bit drunk but at least vigilant.
"Hear me, great Blood moon pack!" he exclaimed. "Tonight the great moon goddess has granted me a gift, by returning my mate to me, and not just my mate but your Luna," he said out loud as they began cheering and then he fasted his gaze on me. "We will protect her with our lives and if the New moon pack ever thinks of attacking, we will show them how fierce we can be," while he was still ranting about his strength, I turned back to Roy.
"I have another plan? I can't sleep with a man I just met, so what if I told him that I am carrying his child in my womb," I said and Roy frowned, shaking his head in disagreement.
"You have been gone for months now, and he will notice you are lying," he replied and I held his hands.
"Roy, we can do this, I will not have anything to do with Sebastian until I get my memories back which is why I am asking you to help me," I said earnestly. "You have saved my life before so please help me again," I pleaded.
"Okay, I will see what I can do," He replied.
Later in the morning I was outside receiving fresh air when Roy walked out to meet me. He was wearing a smile on his face. "It worked!" He announced happily. "My brother believed you," he said and I chuckled, drawing a deep breath.
"Thank goodness," I heaved a sigh of relief. "But how did you convince him?"
"It's a long story but I think he might truly be the father of your child," he said and I frowned, my heart racing. It was partly good news but somewhere deep inside I wished that it wasn't true. I was already in love with Harvey and if I am carrying Sebastian's heir then I have lost Harvey forever.
"He mentioned that he crossed paths with you a few weeks ago in a hotel, he said that he was drunk so it might be true that you are carrying his child," he explained but stopped when he noticed my sad eyes. "What is the matter, you should be happy, this is good news."
"I know, and of course I am happy," I flashed a smile at him and the smile on his face returned.
"You should come with me, the Alpha is really happy and is planning to throw a big party for you," Roy said happily again as he left heading back to the camp.
Three months passed since my pregnancy and within these three months, I never heard anything from Harvey or from the New moon pack, nor have I contacted my father. These three months had also helped me bond with the blood moon pack and I was getting accustomed to their pattern of living.
I was taken care of and they showed me a lot of kindness and respect unlike the way I was being treated In the New moon pack. I was also growing fond of Sebastian, he was a good leader and a caring Alpha, and he was also willing to give me time to accept him, which was something I desperately needed.
The time for me to give birth was close so Sebastian threw a feast for the pack. He made sure that everyone had enough meat as he also organized dinner in his lodge for me, Roy and a few of his respected pack members.
"So tell me Andrea, how have these past three months been?" He asked.
"It has been great," I replied and a warm smile spread over his face. I looked at Roy who was also staring at us and back again to meet Sebastian's brown eyes. He was still smiling at me when a loud noise broke the silence and one of the beta werewolves rushed inside.
"Alpha Sebastian, I have a message for you," the beta werewolf said, he hastened to his side and then handed him an envelope.
Sebastian opened the letter and while reading it I saw the smile on his face vanish.
"Is there a problem?" I asked, staring at him curiously along with other werewolves.
"It's nothing, just enjoy your meal," he flashed a smile at me and then wrapped the letter as he put it back inside the envelope. The remaining minutes were spent in silence and when we had finished having dinner, he ordered Roy to escort me to my lodge.
I was fast asleep in the middle of the night when I heard a bang on my room door. I woke up gently making my way to the door post.
"Who is there?" I asked.
"Andrea, it's me, Roy, open up. Your life is in danger," he said and I swiftly unlocked the door.
"Roy, what are you doing here?"
"I was wrong," He interrupted. "You are not carrying Sebastian's baby. My brother is planning to kill your baby as soon as you give birth, so you must leave now," he said restlessly.
"Roy, I cannot go," I said and he turned to me. "I don't have the strength to escape alone."
"You have no other choice Andrea, if I go with you, my brother will know I have betrayed my pack and he will come for me… I have not made my first transformation and I cannot become a rogue," he was speaking when I felt my legs cramp. I looked down only to see water dripping down my body.
"No, not now please," I whispered and then looked at Roy. "My water just broke, I think I'm about to have the baby."
