Driven away by my pack, I roamed the mountains in search of a place to lodge. I was barefooted, and my legs were hurting badly, but no hurt was more terrible than Harvey staring at me spitefully. My cell phone was with me and yet I couldn't call my father, he was already hurt being separated from me, and when he hears that I have been banished from the pack, it will break him. But above all, I was mostly scared of what the pack would do to him if they found out that I had called for his help.
The wind was buzzing heavily, and the cold was grasping into my skin, as I wrapped my arm around my body, leaning on the comfort of my cosy hood.
Feeling dizzy, I staggered out of the woods, making my way into the highway. It was snowing heavily, so boisterous that I couldn't see clearly. Still trying to find my path, I heard the beep of a car, the sound of the vehicle stunned me as I turned to face the light and the truck ran me over, my body bowing over on the tiled road. Everything went blank and the last sight I saw was that of a young boy running towards me with a flashlight and just then I blanked out.
The next time I regained consciousness I found myself
on the bed inside a warm room. There were lampstands everywhere, and there was no one inside the room except for the blurry sight of the young boy who had rescued me from the highway.
"You are awake," he said as his eyes widened in shock. "How are you feeling, can you hear me?" he kept trying to get my attention as I pulled the blanket off my body. "Miss, you have to remain calm."
"No, I have to leave," I replied, gently sitting upright and while he was still trying to talk me out of it, the door fluttered open and a young man walked inside with a tray of meal, he gently placed the meal on the table and looked forward at the young boy. "Is there anything else you will like me to bring, young master?"
"No, that will be all," he replied and making a bow, the young man left the room.
"What was that about? Where am I?" I asked, looking back at him and he exhaled softly.
"Miss, you have to listen to me. We know that you are a werewolf and we have heard a lot about you. You are Andrea Henderson, the daughter of Lear Henderson..."
"And who are you?"
"My name is Roy Rollins. My elder brother is an Alpha, his name is Sabastian." The moment he mentioned the name Sabastian, I got flashes of unclear memories in my head. The name sounded familiar but I couldn't understand where I heard it before. I was still trying to remember when his voice broke the silence again.
"I am sorry for running you over, I'm just thankful that both you and your child are safe."
"What child?" I asked curiously and he looked up to me again with traces of uncertainty in his dark brown eyes.
"I mean the child in your womb," He replied. It dawned on me once more, my heart racing as I touched my belly only to get a striking headache backed up with the flashes of memories but this time the memories were more vivid. It was the flashes of the blue eyes of a man backed up with soft giggling, and whispering of lovely words in my ears. It was the scent of romance and the warm feeling of his strong arm wrapped around my body, the scent of flowers, sounds of laughter and soft kisses on my cheeks and neck.
"What is this?" I whispered to myself, my heart hurting like it was being shredded to pieces. Still in pain, I wiped the tears off my eyelid and I glanced back at Roy. "Please you have to let me go, remaining here will only bring danger to you and your pack."
I saw the spread of curiosity over his face as he let out a sigh. "If that is what you want, we will let you go, but first you will have to speak with my brother, I cannot do anything without his permission," he replied. Soon after, we walked out of the cabin and I was greeted by a breath-taking sight. It was a large camp built on the mountain. Everyone present was having fun, there was laughter and food, and they were all free compared to the sophisticated lifestyle I had in New moon pack. Making my way through the crowd, Roy led me up to the hill where i met his brother, their Alpha, standing alone and staring into the distance.
"Alpha Sebastian, Our guest is awake," Roy said and Sebastian turned around to face me. I saw the gleam of affection in his eyes, it was like the stare of a man who had just found his first love. I didn't know why he was staring at me in this matter but even his stare hurt so much, like someone had put a spear through my heart.
My heart grew heavier at every step he took closer to me and when he was two feet away he stopped.
"Roy, please leave us," he said to his brother and when we were alone, he fastened his gaze on me again. "So it's really you," he whispered, and then reached his hand to the side of my face, tears welled up in his eyes and he gently brushed his hand along my cheek. "I am so sorry for letting you go, Andrea. They took you away from me once but I will not let them take you away from me a second time," He said those words, and I gently removed his hand from the side of my face, still looking into the eyes of a man I had no idea existed until today.
"I am sorry but I think you are mistaking me for someone else. You should let me go unless something terrible will happen to me and to your pack," I replied and he furrowed his eyebrows in uncertainty.
"What do you mean by you don't know me, it's me, Sebastian, I'm your husband."
