CHAP 15 : HOLI CELEBRATIONS

Next morning, Nandani woke up and found Manik sleeping peacefully and hugging her. Nandani freshened herself up and tried to wake up Manik.
"Nandani let me sleep", said Manik irritably.
Nandani went downstairs and found everybody sitting in the living room. She went to Cabir and told, "Cabir bro, look its 12 noon and Manik is not waking up"
"Nandani my sweet little sister, we will wake him up in our style what say Mukti?", said Cabir smirking evilly
"Yes,", said Mukti high-fiving with Cabir.
Mukti and Cabir headed towards Manik's room. while others followed them.
They went to Manik's room and found him sleeping peacefully.
"Look he is sleeping like a devil", said Cabir. "Let's wake him up", said Mukti smirking.
They went to the washroom and came with a bucket of water. They splashed it on Manik , and Manik woke up with a jerk.
"Happy holi..", said Mukti and Cabir laughing and ran out of the room. Manik also ran behind them and they were running in the whole mansion. Manik fetched a jug from the dinning table and emptied it on them.
*IN EVENING*
Everyone went to the backyard. Nandani already prepared a Holika pyre for bonfire. They lit the pyre signifying the Holika Dahan.
"Why do we celebrate Holi and why do we burn this pyre?", Alya inquired.
Nandani was shocked . She asked, "Alya you really don't know the significance of burning Holi pyre and celebration of this festival?"
"No Nandani we had never celebrated any festival in our life", said Alya.
"This ritual symbolizes the victory of good over evils", said Nandani. Everyone than did Parikrama ( circumbalation ) of fire
At night, they had their dinner. Nandani asked, "Cabir bro , are the arrangements for tomorrow done?"
"Yes Nandani all the arrangements are done. Don't worry", said Cabir.
Nandani thanked him. Everyone went to bed early since Nandani had ordered them to wake up early in the morning.
*THE NEXT MORNING*
Everyone got ready and wore a white attire for holi. Mukti wore traditional dress for the first time in her life.
Cabir teased her, "Lady bheem you are looking like a girl for the first time"
"Very funny Cabir", said Mukti with a fake smile. Everyone started to play holi, and apply color to each other.
Manik pulled Nandani inside the swimming pool. Nandani didn't knew how to swim, she wrapped her hands around Manik's neck. She told , "Manik, I don't know how to swim"
Manik held her waist and told, "Star relax, I am there, I won't let you drown"
Manik was about to kiss her when Cabir came.
"Are you guys playing holi or celebrating honeymoon", Cabir teased.
Nandani felt so shy , that she hugged Manik.
Navya also came searching for Nandani.
"Nandani where were you, I was searching for you since long, come lets play holi together", said Navya.
"Yes coming Navya", said Nandani and came out of the swimming pool and went with Navya. Manik was hell irritated, which was noticed by Cabir.
"What happen , lover boy?", asked Cabir.
"You are asking what happened? You and your girl always spoil , Nandani and my romance", he told irritably.
Nandani and Navya started to play holi. They were playing with the water guns. Nandani's hand got cut due to the plastic water guns.
She excused herself and went inside the mansion to her room. She went to the washroom and washed her hands, when somebody hit her from behind, on her head and she fainted. The goons took Nandani with them from the back door. Manik's men started to fire on them and the goons fired back at them. They killed a lot of Manik's men. No one could hear the voice of firing, since loud DJ Music was playing in the background. The goons kidnapped Nandani, and escaped.
One of Manik's men was injured brutally, but he somehow dragged himself to Manik. Everybody was shocked to see him injured brutally. Manik ran towards him and asked worriedly, "Andrew, get up what happened, who did this?"
"Nandani ma'am.. the goons kidnapped Nandani Ma'am", said Andrew with a great difficulty.
"Who kidnapped Nandani, Andrew", said Manik tapping Andrews cheeks. But before Andrew could answer, he took his last breath, and was dead.
