Standing by the window I kept on this about what happened a few nights ago. Austin had only told the alpha, Luna, and my parents about what happened.
Tears fell from my eyes as I wiped them. What was going to happen to us? The Luna and Alpha are people who believe s*x is sacred and is meant to be between two mates or people who are married.
“Sam?” Isabella knocked on the door as I closed my eyes, I didn’t want to talk to anyone. Austin wasn’t letting me mind link him, he had pushed me out. I have tried to talk to him but he won’t even let me get close to him.
“I didn’t sleep with anyone”
I cried tears falling from my eyes leading my head against the window frame and she walked closer to where I was standing wrapping her arms around me.
“What am I going to do Isabella?” I cried tears falling from my eyes as she sighed holding me tight to her. Lexa hasn’t let me talk to her. She has pushed me back because she thinks it’s my fault that our mate is hurt and might soon reject us.
“You will be fine. I am sure Austin can’t reject you over something like this. He is understanding, and he loves you” She assured me as I whimpered holding on tight to her.
A knock came on the door as I turned away wiping my tears away. “It’s time,” my mother said turning around and walking away, her voice sounding broken.
I looked at Isabella who held my hand tight before following my mother behind; We walked to the pack house with my mother and I could hear people had already started gossiping about this. I wore a grey maxi dress and a sweater on top with slippers.
We headed inside the pack house; I lowered my head the entire time without responding. Rain. Flowers. Austin.
I turn my head to the staircase, the surrounding atmosphere is intense. He’s wearing black jeans, a white t-shirt, and a leather blazer.
“Austin,” I say in a whisper. He doesn’t spare me a glance but just keeps walking to the meeting room.
It hurts.
I fight back my tears. I follow my mother behind to the meeting room. We walk in; the alpha is sitting at the head of the table. With the Luna sitting on his left and Austin who just sat down. The atmosphere is so intense. No one is talking.
My father is sitting on the alpha’s right with my mother going to sit next to him. I am left alone on the other side of the table. Tears threaten to fall and I try to blink them back but my efforts go to waste as the tears fall from my eyes.
No one is peaking but just quiet. “Samantha, do you know why you are here,” Alpha Nathan asked me. I nod.
“Sammy, you are like a daughter to me. I have seen you grow up and become the person you are right now. I just want you to know, can you tell us what happened,” He said with His deep husky voice sounding calm. Tears fell from my eyes. I couldn’t speak. It felt like I had a lump in my throat. My tongue was heavy.
“Is there any truth in what Austin is saying?” He asked me, his oppressive aura feeling the room as I lifted my head to look at Austin who wasn’t even looking at me.
“I didn’t sleep with anyone. I swear on my life” I cried as the Luna scoffed looking at me and then back at the Alpha.
“I told you she would deny it. I just knew there was no good coming out of her friendship with that girl. Now, look at what has happened?” She said blaming Isabella as I shook my head.
“Isabella has nothing to do with this,” I retorted.
I wasn’t going to let them demean the only person who believes me and has been nothing good to me.
“Who is this man you slept with?” My father asked me as I chuckled shaking my head, why wasn’t anyone believing me?
“I didn’t sleep with anyone. I swear on my life,” I pleaded.
“Your life is worthless to me.” My father retorted. My mother gasped looking at him. “I raised you better than to be a w***e” My father said as tears fell from my eyes.
“I didn’t do it. Please believe me,” I cried.
“Austin what do you wish to do?” Alpha Nathan asked his son ignoring me completely. Austin looked at me as tears fell from my eyes.
“I trusted you. You broke my heart Sam” His mind linked. As I gasped looking at him. “Please believe me” I replied.
“You lied to me! ”
He replied turning to his father.
“I wish to reject my mate.”
He outwardly said as tears fell from my eyes. I gasped looking at him as my mother closed her eyes.
“Are you sure son?”
Alpha Nathan asked him as he nodded his head eyeing me as the Alpha gave an affirmative nod. He turned his attention toward me. Austin looked away from me.
“Austin please don’t do this” I mind-linked him but he blocked me out without responding. I didn’t care about everything else but just needed someone to believe me.
I have never given my body to a man before. I have never even looked at other men in my life before.
I have always wanted to be Austin’s wife. I have dreamt of the day I could finally be his.
“Very well. I will pass my judgment as well before then.” He said to me as I shook my head letting the tears fall. There was no way my mate was rejecting me. I was his destined mate.
I was the future Luna. His first love.
