**Samantha**
“Austin Please!” I pleaded with him, falling to my knees so that they could at least listen to what I had to say to him, but he feigned ignorance by looking at his father.
I am desperate. I can’t have my mate reject it.
It wouldn’t break me, but I don’t want to be rejected. I had a dream. I had everything figured out in my life.
Austin. I say in a whisper, hoping he would remember what we shared, but he’s so adamant about rejecting me. “Please don’t let him reject us,” Lexa pleaded with me as tears fell from my eyes. My heart was racing fast. It hurt knowing I was being accused of something I didn’t do.
I didn’t cheat on my mate or let another man touch me. I loved Austin even before I could even walk or talk. He has been my life.
Austin stood up, walking over to the side of the table, his ice-cold eyes on me as I shook my head. I can’t accept his rejection. I did nothing wrong!
Austin looks disgusted looking at me. My chest tightens and I just want to get on my knees and plead with him not to reject me and just let me stay with him even as a mistress, but I can’t humiliate myself like that.
“I, Austin Hale, Future Alpha of the Crescent Pack, reject you, Samantha Reyes, as my mate and future Luna”
He says, his voice almost breaking. I feel a surging pain across my being, busting into my chest and spreading throughout my body. I felt like I was being ripped apart.
I let out a shriek, falling to the floor. I gasp for air, but nobody is there to help me get up to my feet.
I notice Isabella standing by the corner of the room. She seems uneasy and tears stream down her face, but I know she can’t do anything to help me.
They are already blaming her for what happened. I can’t put her in a position that would risk her position in this pack and her life.
I look up at Austin, hoping his wolf won’t reject us as well, but I see his eyes flicker between his green eyes and a darker shade, and I know that Ryker, his wolf, is about to surface.
Shaking my head, hoping he won’t reject us, but he stares into my eyes. He is by my supposed betrayal. He brings his hand to stroke my cheek and tears stream down my face, holding n tight to my dress.
“I, Ryker, Alpha of the Crescent pack rejects you Samantha Reyes and…” he pauses, wanting to know the name of my wolf because Austin didn’t even give me a chance to tell him the name of my wolf.
I flinch back, choking back my tears. I can’t do this to Lexa. She can't get rejected by him. “Please!” I plead with Ryker and he turns away from me. I know he can’t stand the fact that I betrayed him.
“As the alpha of your pack, I command you to tell us the name of your wolf!” Alpha Nathan commands me. I try to disobey his order but I can’t. His aura is too strong, and he has the f*****g authority over me as my alpha.
“Lexa,” I say, almost like a whisper, closing my eyes as I let my tears fall freely. I know they were able to hear that because of their hearing ability.
“I, Ryker, Alpha of the Crescent pack, reject you Samantha Reyes and Lexa as my mate and Luna,” Ryker says to me, stepping back from me and I shake my head in disbelief.
I know I need to accept his rejection, but I can’t just let go of him. My heart aches, Lexa is whimpering in my mind and she is restless. She didn’t even get to know Austin.
“Sam.” My mother calls my name softly, tears in her eyes as I lower my head, kneeling before them. Pain ripples through me. I clench my hands, hoping the pain will subside, but it’s pointless. I just accept his rejection if I do not wish to piss off the Alpha.
“I-I, Sam-ma-nantha” I stuttered, looking at Austin, who went to sit back on his chair next to his father. I let out an exasperated sigh.
“Samantha.” My father spat out my name impatiently and I look at him, running my eyes over all of them. From my mother to Austin, they didn’t believe me.
“I Samantha Reyes, Future Luna of Crescent Pack, accept your rejection,” I spat out.
Austin groans in pain, his eyes turning a darker shade as his claws dig into the table. His mother gently rubs his back as I close my eyes, letting the tears fall from my eyes.
After the pain subsides, I look up at the alpha awaiting my official punishment. I know what to expect from all this. Austin finally settles down as he glares at me.
“Samantha Reyes, having been found guilty of betraying your mate and failure to fulfil your duties as future Luna, we strip you of your title as future Luna.” He says to me, I want to chuckle at the choice of words.
Guilty? Failed to fulfil my duties? I did everything that was expected of me as a warrior and Luna. They couldn’t even investigate how I ended up being like this. The nerve of these assholes.
‘We will also strip you of all privileges as the Beta’s daughter and as a Major in the pack army,” He said as I gasped, looking at him. I was confused. I couldn’t be stripped of my rank.
“You can’t do this. My rank was Major, and I worked hard to get it. I went through training. I did…” I wanted to protest but stifled a sob, looking at my father shake his head.
“You can’t do this!”
I shouted, and the alpha glared at me like he would rip off my head.
“We will strip you of all ranks in this pack.” He exclaimed as I gasped, letting my tears fall as I shook my head. I was the best they had. I trained night and day to be lieutenant colonel and now they were taking it away from me?
“Because of the relationship I have with your father, you will be now an omega.” He said to me as I lowered my head, whimpering silently as I fell to my knees once again.
“Does anyone else have something to say?” The alpha asked, and I looked up at everyone, hoping my parents would say something to me but nothing.
“If that’s all, then you are all dismissed,” He said to me as I struggled to stand up. Isabella rushed to me, helping me to my feet as I held on tight to her.
“Here. I got you,” she whispered to me, helping me walk out of the room. I was nothing but n omega in the pack that I should have been Luna.
I stare at Isabella, who gives me a forced smile, helping me to my room. She gently helps me settle down on the bed and I look away from her. She doesn’t have to help me anymore. I am not her future Luna.
“I will get you some tea to calm you down,” she says, turning on her heel, but I can tell she’s hurt by all this. She must have felt the pain I felt being my gamma.
“You don’t have to serve me anymore, I am not your future Luna,” I shout before she walks out of the room and I can hear her stop in her tracks. I grab a pillow turning away from her.
She sighs heavily, but just walks away, saying nothing. “We will be fine,” I assure Lexa, who's whimpering
She’s sad.
Am sure she can’t stand the pain, but she has to accept this is now our fate.
I try to recall the events of last year, but I can’t recall anything after the first drink that I had. I remember picking up a scent, but I can’t tell if that was a man or woman.
The next day when I woke up I felt sore, but I convinced myself that it could have been that Austin had finger f****d me a lot when we were at the party> Could it be that I was with someone or Austin and I slept together? But why would he just reject me like that? It’s not possible.
I keep thinking when the door suddenly opens again, a floral scent hits my nostrils and I know it is Isabella. I asked her to stop tending to me.
“Isabella>,” I say and she just settles down the plate
“You haven’t eaten or even slept. This is good for you,” she insists, and I turn away from her, hoping she could just leave me alone and join everyone else.
“I don’t want any of that. Didn’t you hear what they said? I am nothing but an omega just like you,” I snap, and she doesn’t move.
“She cares,” Lexa says, finally saying something to me after what happened. She wasn’t whimpering anymore.
“You think I was serving you because you were going to be my Luna? Please, Sam, I can do that for anyone,” she fumed, and I lowered my head.
“I am here because you are my friend because when everyone wanted nothing to do with me, you were there and I f*****g hate everyone for believing that they would treat you like this,” she hissed, tears falling from her eyes.
“I am here because you are my friend and I am not going to stand by and watch you waste your life this. Not on my watch,” she said to me, tears falling down my eyes as I stifled a sob and she came closer to where I was.
“You are my friend and I am always going to be here,” She said to me as I nodded my head and she pulled me in a tight hug, I whimper silently on her shoulder, it was painful and I couldn’t stand it but I was glad she was here.
“We are going to get through this together,” she assured me and I nodded my head, knowing that we had someone to rely on right now.

The week went by fast and I just kept on thinking about what my life would be like the next day, every day. It was like I was living a dream.
Thankfully, once rejected, our pack gives you time to process everything before you can actually report for work or any duties. I was able to just keep on processing everything that had happened. I couldn’t eat or speak to anyone after what happened.
My mate rejected me and that means that from now on I had to live my life knowing that I will never have that special bond with someone.
Thanks to that wonderful tea that Bella made for me, I was able to calm down yesterday and the pain wasn’t that much. Getting ready for today, I knew I needed to prepare myself for the worst.
I am sure many are looking forward to seeing the mighty Samantha Reyes doing Omega work. But I couldn’t complain, I was going to work hard and get any money that will be paid to me and think of what to do for myself.
I couldn’t run away because I would be a rogue and, trust me, rogues don’t have it easy, especially if you are a woman. Men would definitely want to take advantage of that. Sighing heavily, I wore black jeans, a beige spaghetti strap tank top, with a black cardigan on top.
Grabbing my hair, I tied it back in a bun before taking my phone, which had messages and missed calls from people wanting to know exactly what happened.
I make my way downstairs. I can smell bacon and blueberry muffins, but I can’t bring myself to eat anything.
“Good morning,” I shout as I walk past the kitchen and dining room. I notice dad is sitting with his paper reading and David isn’t here.
Sighing heavily, I turn to the kitchen, “Morning mum” I say monotone.
“Samantha, I know that...”
She wants to say and I scoff looking at her.
She couldn’t have done anything in that room. She was the lowest ranked wolf.
Despite being married to my father the Beta, she was nothing but a wolf whose background has been nothing but rogues and omegas.
“I am fine. Don’t worry,” I say to her, turning on my heel and she lets out an exasperated sigh. I can feel her gaze on me, but I have to get out of here as fast as I can.
Heading out of the house, I end up bumping into Isabella who was on her way to me. I look at her and she says nothing to me but just watches me from head to toe before staring at my face like she was looking for something.
“Wait!” she says to me, grabbing something from her bag and applying it to my face, “What’s that?” I ask her and she smiles at me but says nothing.
“You are a strong woman. You can’t look like you have been crying the entire night,” she says to me as I frown when her make-up brush hits my nostrils>
‘Hey!” I shout and she chuckles, looking at me.
‘Don’t worry. You are fine! We are fine,” She assures me, putting back her make-up in her bag before walking away.
“The first few days are hard to get to adapt to them, but once time goes by, you will see it will be fun,” she assures me, trying to lighten up the mood, but I am not in the mood to chat. I just want to know what they expected of me.
Arriving to meet the lady in charge of the omega, we make our way inside the room and I wonder why I never paid much attention to this part of the pack.
“Good morning,” I said to the lady whom I found was scolding another omega, furrowing my eyebrows I would how long the girl has been kneeling on that floor.
“Don’t involve yourself. And lower your eyes please,” Bella links to me as I look at the lady looking at me as I quickly lower my head.
‘Well, it seems like the Luna finally decides to show up,” She says but the mockery in her voice at the mention of Luna that I wonder what she would want from me at this point.
“Good morning, my name is…”
“I know who you are, Sam,” she cuts me off monotone. Her voice sounds harsh as I look at Bella.
“The one woman who disgraced herself because she couldn’t wait for her mate? So much for being adventurous, don’t you think it?” She asked me, but I just ignored her.
‘This is what you get for spending so much time with another w***e,” She remarked, referring to Isabella as my eyes turned darker. I growled at her.
“Isabella is not a w***e,” I hissed, and she chuckled, looking at me and clenching my fists. I knew Isabella was many things, but not a w***e. She had never slept with any man.
“Well look at that. You growling at me?” She asked me before I could respond. She slapped me across my face. I wanted to go at her, but Isabella grabbed me by my hand, stopping me from trying to hold me back from beating the s**t out of this woman.
“Please” she plead as I sighed heavily, looking at the woman she was enjoying having Isabella kneeling before her like she was a god
“You think you still have the upper hand? Wait till I show you what I am capable of,” she said, throwing a punch as it hit my jaw, causing me to stagger as I lifted my gaze to look at her.
“I make the f*****g rules around here princess” she fumed, her eyes turning darker as I clenched my fist, ready to throw a punch when Isabella held on tight to my hand.
“Forgive her.”
Isabella pleaded on my behalf, falling to the ground as she chuckled softly, looking at Isabella. What the hell is she doing right now?
“Isabella?” I called out to her, and she fell on her face, almost touching the lady’s shoes. What the f**k is this?
“I promise I will get her in line.” Isabella pleaded as tears filled my eyes. Why was she pleading with this woman? I could easily take her on and put her in her place. She didn’t have to plead with such a person.
“Fine. Get her out of my sight! And as her punishment, she will work from the west wing,” she barked, making Isabella gasp as she lifted her head.
“Unless you want her working at the pack house, then that’s fine with me,” she said to me as Isabella shook her head, standing up from the ground as I tried to help her and she pushed me away from her.
“She will do it. I will make sure of that,” she said to the woman, bowing before her and dragging me out of the wooden office.
“What the f**k? Why would you kneel before her? I could have-“
“I shouldn’t have knelt? For you, I would even kiss her shoes if she asked me to,” she said to me before dragging me with her.
‘Isabella.” I shouted after her and she stopped in her tracks, turning to me, “Sammy, the world you know is very different from ours out here. If you want to survive, please lower your head. You are the Beta’s daughter, but I also know that you are the woman who betrayed our future alpha,” she said, her voice almost breaking as I looked at her.
“Many people want to get revenge for what you supposedly did. They will not forgive you for your betrayal. So please lower your head,” she added as she looked away, wiping her tears.
Did I put her in an awkward position? Did she have to lower herself before that woman?
‘Fine. I will, but promise me you won’t ever kneel before that cunt again,” I said to her, and she nodded her head.
‘I won’t have to if you don’t find yourself in trouble,” She said to me as I nodded my head, blinking back the tears that threatened to fall from my eyes.
‘I promise,” I said to her, and a smile curved up on her lips.
“Good. Now let’s go,” she said to me, grabbing me by my arm.
“So where’s this west wing?
I know all the surrounding places, but not the west wing. You seemed shocked when the old cunt mentioned it,” I said to her, and she turned to me with her eyebrows raised.
‘Make a guess,’ she said, turning around as we faced the road leading to the pack house. I drew my compass, thinking about what she was suggesting.
“North, south, east and we-“
I stopped midway, looking at the quarters for the warriors that I trained with. I knew the quarters very well. These men were disgusting, and she sent me there. What was the woman trying to do?
What the f**k? This was not happening.
